OK ladies, I've made the decision to go ahead with the bulk buy of hemp and bamboo fleece, so this is your chance to share with me!

Hemp Fleece - $13 per metre
This is hemp/organic cotton fleece (skal certified) suitable for making fitted nappies or boosters/inserts for aio/ai2/pockets. Commonly available for $19/$20 per metre

Bamboo Fleece - $15 per metre
This is bamboo/organic cotton fleece (skal certified) also suitable for making fitted nappies or boosters/inserts for aio/ai2/pockets. Commonly available for $30 per metre ($15/half metre)

Postage is additional and will be via Australia Post. Eg. 2m will fit into a $9 postage bag.

NOTE - if you live in Melbourne, you can arrange to pick up from me instead of paying postage.

Hi ladies,

I'll order the fabric by the end of this week and it'll probably take a few working days to get to me, then I've got to cut it. So ideally payment by end of next week or start of the next.

Phineas and anyone else wanting more than 2m - pm your suburb and state. I may be able to use my works courier for around the same price as Aus Post, but it allows more kg. It takes a bit longer (4 days to WA for example, but it's overnight for NSW, I think 2 days for qld etc) but I think will work out cheaper than Aus Post.

I would really like to finalise the amount I need to buy tonight. I already need more bamboo than originally thought, so it's really important that anyone thinking of buying let me know their quantities by tonight.

OK, I can send freight from my work as below:

Slow couriers (apx 3 days to main qld, 2 days to main nsw)
$9.80 qld
$8.00 nsw

If you want overnight, up to 5kg is:
$14.75 qld
$12.00 nsw
with $3 extra if over 5kg

The fabric is 430gsm so I think that means allow about half a kilo for 1 metre of fabric? ie. I don't think any of your orders would be more than 5kg.

Anyway, if you haven't confirmed quantities or want to change your quantity, just reply to this thread or pm me asap!

Foxy and Nay - this is the trouble with being busy mummas! Lucky I owe you nappies hey nay?

I was very transparent on the original thread (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=79438) that I was getting it from Snaps and the alternatives, costs, time, shortages etc involved. So hopefully other people will do the same sort of bulk buy/share thing regularly. Bamboo in particularly is so hard to get atm. Can't wait for the bamboo store to open!

Jbie, the bamboo is 85%/15%, but the site (google snaps australia - i'm not allowed to put a link) doesn't mention the hemp split. I assume it is 55/45 as I haven't ever seen any different. I can check with snaps though.

I would've only got a metre or two for myself, so happy to coop for the price break. Otherwise I've seen some american sites, but not sure on how the exchange and delivery would make it in terms of cost effectiveness?

Hi ladies,

Wow, sorry everyone, I underestimated the time involved to get all the fabric cut! It was easy once I had my mum to help and baby out from underfoot, LOL.

I've done some of the pick ups and put the Australia Post deliveries out today. I'm at my work office tomorrow, so the courier ones will leave then.

If you don't receive yours within 3 working days, give me a call or email, I think you've all got my details from the pm's.

There are a few payments that haven't come through yet. If you need a different way to pay or need me to find another taker for your amount of fabric, please contact me asap. I don't mind, but I'd like to get this finalised so I can do the next one!
