Hi & Welcome Mel's hubby!

The male population is growing around here, so I'm sure you will get chatting with some other dad's soon.

Hello mate, I'd love to chat but won't get a chance probably for a few weeks as I'm on holiday in USA :) This sites great and you can get loads of help and advice here, I don't always listen to the girls, sometimes us dads know best :p

Welcome. I thought that avatar pic looked familiar :)

As KB mentioned there is a forum section set up specifically for dads, it's a fair ways down the main forum page under the blue "chat with other parents and parent's to be" banner. But here's a shortcut for you: Dads Chat (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=45) Of course you're welcome to read and post in any section of the forums. The Dad's Chat section is just to make it easier to find posts of a similar topic.

There aren't a lot of dads on here to be honest, but quite often we women have men reading over our shoulders wondering what can possibly be so funny/interesting. Or we pass on queries and questions. So I think there are alot of indirect or lurking male members :)

Hi there Daddyof2, I`m only new to the bub hub as well,

Being a parent is the most rewarding experience, I love coming through the door of an evening and seeing my beautiful daughter`s smile, I tell you , you could have the worst day at work, but when i come home, it makes me happy..

:D

I agree even when things seem bad a smile from our kids make us realize that all the hard work is more than worth it :)

Hi Dads (and Mums)
I don't get on all that often - too much seems to be going on. I keep hoping to get on more often and one day I will.
There are a few Dads lurking around (one of whom is very active :) ).
I think there are differences for Dads and Mums, but also a lot of the stuff is the same.
I love being a Dad :D , although it is a challenge juggling work, family, work around the home etc.
Jasmine starts school next year and I'm hoping to get involved a bit there. It will be interesting to see how they respond to Dads. Some places aren't sure how to react.
I think some services are becoming more aware that the needs of Dads are sometimes different to Dads. (E.g. in some health services for parents there are lots of positive images of mums, but the only ones relating to dads are to do with domestic violence. )
I'm on holidays for a couple of weeks so I might get on a little bit.
All the best
Graeme

OK. I probably should have done this a long time ago, but better late than never, and all that. I finally have my own user name and avatar, yay!:D

Welcome to the site, good to see another bloke here.

Right, now I really am going to take the dog for a walk!

Stay safe everyone.

Andre.
