I have a dermatitis like eczema?? through my hair. My scalp is very dry and gets very itchy and flakey.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a shampoo that has worked for them as there are so many on the market it's hard to know what to use or try???
My dr says I need more protein, vitamin c and zinc but I want a mild shampoo to use while I boost my system back up.
TIA

Why dont you just use QV wash while you get better? I use it for everything for my son - he has very bad ex. I know there is a really good derm shampoo that is soap free etc, just not sure of the name. My bestie has to use it, I will find out for you - i am sure she just gets it from the chemist.

i use tgel i think it is called, it is brown(just incase i got the name wrong you will know by the colour) and it works great
I get T-Gel by neutrogena for DH - its great. He gets terrible psorasis, and it keeps it well under control.
It's about $11 a bottle, and you can get it at the supermarket.

Head and Shoulders.
My mum has a few probs with her scalp and her dermo told her Head and Shoulders was good.

hey one of the problems with the shampoos above is that theyre cheaper and use cheaper products! I have a few highly sensative scalps clients and have always recomended AVEDA heres the link
http://www.aveda.com/
Find a salon thats closest to you and ask them to shampoo your hair so you can get a feel of the product then they should b able to give you a few samples! they can also do a colour test to see if ur alergic or not to that so they can colour your hair with the product its an all natural product and Ithink its by far the best sensative product on the market... HTH (Im a hairdresser)
I get itchy flaky scalp too, and swear by Head & Shoulders. I've tried all types of shampoos, and that one works a treat... after only one wash!

Thanks girls
I know it is mostly caused by all the stress lately and I have found that when I brush and wash my hair heaps falls out because I have like a dry layer of thick skin over parts of my scalp (if that makes sense??)
I went to the chemist and got some vitamin B stress tablets and they gave me a shampoo called sebitar???
I have only used once so far I will see how it goes??
I can't use head and shoulders as I am allergic to it my whole neck breaks out in a rash.
Has anyone else lost hair like this???
I might need to go back to the drs??? it's driving me crazy I'm seriuosly thinking about chopping all my hair off.
