View Full Version : tried to get some fleece from my local shop
they had never heard of micro fleece, and polar fleece, they showed me, and I just couldnt imagine using that inside a nappy, it was that thick fabric fluffy stuff, that would just make the bum sweat I reckon... maybe they had the wrong stuff, can someone try to explain exactly what it is, or post a picture of some fleece liners??
i dont think 'normal' shops sell microfleece?

spotlight have some microfleece its called little additions or something. Their polar fleece isnt too thick either
thats a bit annoying, there is no spotlight near me...
what fleece did they show you? Was it like trackie pants fleece or double sided?

yeah, like this thick fleece, really fluffy, both sides... hard to describe I guess.
sometimes it's called baby fleece too.... it might have pictures on it (it's good for baby blankets..)
Maybe someone could send you some?

if your using it to wick the wee away then thinner is probly better:yes:

sorry, what does Wick away mean?? I was looking for something to catch the poo really, so I dont have to rinse the whole nappy...
just means that the wee goes straight through the fleece so bubs bum stays dry KWIM? But yea catches poo too lol
so does the fleece not get too hot in there?

Not hot - spesh when you compare it too what a sposie must feel like!
I use polar fleece for liners, no probs at all! It's the stuff thats about $8-$9 a metre at Spotlight?
Hi,
I did my first batch of nappies with lincraft polar fleece- premium antipill. It is quite thick but worked well. I have since bought my fleece from another internet site in nz and is alot thinner and therefore is alot trimmer - don't feel it has made any difference to absorbancy though. I guess though it works out more exy as it was $9 per metre plus postage whereas local stores are on special atm and are around $7 per metre.
