Whats the best way to give oral medication to a 14 month old?

Plopping it straight in the mouth is not working.

give up if you are using a stoopid eye dropper .. its messy and harder to control..

I use a syringe .. and JAck usually accepts it (I give him water straight away .. as the flavour of some meds are pretty strong) ... I give it to him about a mil at a time (otherwise its a bit much in his mouth ..)

you could try singing .. or using a fun toy??? loads of cuddles too ..

hope that helps - nothing worse than wrestling at med time ..

i use the syringe also, and also give little bits at a time, otherwise the girls tend to spit it out, they always have water between squirts aswell.

or play a game, where he opens his mouth to smile or laugh, and squirt a bit in then.

The meds came with an eye dropper and I ended up with blue over everything and one upset bub.

Next dosage I'll try a syringe.

no dramas :D (the droppers SERIOUSLY suck)

oh .. and if you dont want to buy a syringe by itself .. you can buy baby panadol .. it comes with syringes (there are two DIFFERENT boxes.. one with a dropper (eww) on with a syringe ... ) - this is how I come to have about 10 syringes on my sink .. lol

Syringe will work if you slide it down the side of the mouth, then at least bubs cant spit it out :)
