C/S scar pain 3 years on?

Hi everyone,

My c/s was 3 years ago and has generally been pretty good for about 9 months now.

However over the last week or so I've been getting some pain on the scar, feels kind of internal, on the inside, if that makes sense.

It's quite intense and sharp and painful but doesn't last long (about 10 seconds).

Some days I feel it only a few times but other days it's been on and off for a few hours.

It seems to happen a bit more when I'm walking or just stand up.

Does anyone have an ideas as to what it could be?

sorry cant really help, maby bring it up with your doc.

DD is 2 on the 1st of july and i havent had any pain since she was about 4 weeks. i havent gotten all feeling back yet on the scar but it does not hurt at all. so i woul dbe asking your doc

Could it be adhesions?

Again I think ask a Dr to be sure.

In fact make an appointment now to do just that.

My CHN told me to go up as I had funny feelings in my abdomen and the Dr checked it out - turned out to be nothing but it is best for piece of mind.

We can only give you our experiences - don't put off seeking a medical opinion from someone who is qualified and has you in front of them!!

Intersting Post. My DD is 12 months and I have just started experiencing 'pain', the scar hurts if that makes any sense. I will pop down to the Docs and have it checked out.

get it checked-
you might have nothing,
but there is always a chance of more-
eg. hernia, rupture.....
let them do an ultrasound ASAP

mine hurts often when there is a weatherchange coming through
also
i have pain sometimes where i had a hernia on my old scar ( i had 3 cs altogether) -tissue..(OUCH)

I've had 2 c-sections and I have not got feeling back in that area yet and probably never will. Also I too get pain when the weather changes and also just before AF.

I would call your dr just to be on the safe side though.

Hi, I've had 4 csections and my scar is lumpy and a bit sore. Sometimes when I get up turned slightly, I get a severe pain in my scar that is so painful that I break out in a cold sweat. I've been to the doctor and she has said I have adhesions unfortunately.

A friend of mine has just had her 4th csection and she said they cut her old scar tissue away so she has very little pain.

I feel for you and I hope it goes away soon.

It's been 3 1/2 years since my 2nd c/s and sometimes my scar gets itchy or I get a tingly/burning feeling. Actually just talking about c/sections makes it tingle hehehehehe!!!
