Have you thought about doing a scrapbook for her? Could be of your lives as friends, of her and her DF's lives together, or of she has children then incorporate them into it too?

My cousin just got engaged.

Her mum had chicken wishbones spraypainted silver and with a bow around them as bonbonaire at her wedding. I had been saving mine for a while and as her engagement present I gave her 7 of them with bows tied around them for good luck. Both her and her mum got teary.

Think back to something that ment alot to her, or even to her mother's wedding, will show her how well you know her.
