Okay...so I know that there are probably other threads out there of this nature, but i'm going to be naughty:shame: and start another so all ideas are easy for me to find;)

My DD is turning one soon and so far we have decided on where (here under a marquee), and what (Care Bear theme). Next is what to do...

We have a mixture of kids (ages) coming, with the eldest being 11 and I need some ideas of games for them to play. Especially the older ones as we do not have xboxes, playstations, trampolines etc for them to amuse themselves with. Because we have a large backyard, and a vacant council owned 3/4 acre lot next door, one idea I had was backyard cricket. I'm sure some of the really old kids (DH and his buddies included) would be into that.

But I need more suggestions, and even ones that the younger bunch can participate in.

Oh Sonia hmm.... I am not even as far as you with planning yet! Ooopsie... :o LOL

But I would like to keep an eye on this thread!

I think the cricket is a good idea

Umm I am trying to think of more games for you but my brain seems to be on strike today...

LOL Well I went on some sites for ideas but most of them are for bigger kids?? :detective:

Like-

Scavenger Hunt
Simon Says
Red Rover
Musical Chairs
Pin the _Something_ on _Something
Pinata
Guess How Many

For the younger ones what about getting them in old clothes and letting them finger paint on a big piece of butchers paper or something like that?? Could be pretty messy though

How many really little ones are there?

There will be about 8 in total (providing they accept invite and turn up:p )

Maybe the really little ones can have a space of their own with toys for their age group and they can socialise that way? Ummm hopefully someone can help you more than me Sonia, sorry :o :o

Finger painting sounds good.... Get huge butchers paper roll, let them crawl around on it and make a right royal mess :) G'd be in for that!

Im in the process of starting to plan dd's second birthday, which coincidentaly is also a care bears theme. Go care bears!

I'll be watching this thread for ideas too.

What kind of a cake are you doing...Do you have any nifty care bears ideas you can share? :D

Leeny, I'm doing cupcakes in blue cups with creamy frosting. They will be in a tiered position with a marzipan care bear on top of each. Well, providing my little care bears come out alright. If not i've downloaded pictures of them that I can print out and stick on top with a toothpick. And on the top one will be a care bear 1st birthday candle:smiliedance:
