Congrats!

My twin boys are 4 and a half now. I love the bond they share, they are always with each other, wether that be fighting, or being best of friends.

It is so true my twins are identical boys aged 5 1/2 and they cant be with out each other yet they act as if they cant stand each other..

Congrats to you 'Alannah's mum' on the birth of your twins, its real hard work but it is worth every minute. I would NEVER swap for anything less..:D

I hope I can give you some practical advise when the trouble arises, there are alot of helpful parents and parents to be here and no doute you will get a straight forward answer.;)

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes, i cant believe how much work it is but i must say that i love every minute of it. They will be 8 weeks tomorrow and i cant believe how quick that has gone.

My main concern has been the sleeping with twin 1. After i have fed him and put him down i then have to feed twin two, this order dosent happen all the time but when it does twin 1 will start crying as soon as i have put him in the cot. Since i am bottle feeding i dont have any free hands to soothe him to sleep so unfortunately he has to cry himself to sleep which can take over 1/2 an hour at times.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do?

I bottle fed both my boys at the same time. I would either have them in their rockers, or in their cot (they shared one) and I would hold the bottles for them.

Hi!

Congratulations on your babies! I have one year old b/g twins. When they were that little I used to feed them one after the other, but once I started feeding them at the same time it was so much easier and a lot less time consuming. I just used to lie them on the feeding pillows.

Sounds like your twin 1 might still have a burp in there when he's crying. If you lie the other twin on a pillow to feed him, you can have the other one on your shoulder to burp.

I know it is so hard those first few months, but believe me it does get a lot easier. And we are reaping the rewards of having twins now because they have a built in best friend to play with!!

Good Luck
Michelle

I there, I am mum to 9 month old twin boys. They are just wonderful. It has been really really difficult but worth it. They came 7 weeks premmie so I was in hospital for 11 days but they grow up so fast it seems like only yesterday I was pregnant with them.
