I was just wondering if someone can answer a couple of Questions about Expressing
Firstly should i express after i feed Noah he feeds every 3 hours im worried if i express just before he feeds there will be nothing left??
And can you add freshly expressed Breast milk to Frozen Breast Milk or does it have to be chilled first<3??
Thanks Heaps

Id express after, and im pretty positive you have to chill the EBM before adding to frozen...

If you are wanting to freeze breast milk my suggestion is to collect all the milk from one day in a container in the fridge and then transfer it to the freezer. I also suggest you freeze it in small lots (eg 60ml) cause you may not want to defrost 200ml in one go.

You can keep milk in the fridge for up to 3 days (1 - 2 days is best) ... but keep it at the back - not in the door!

Why are you expressing? If you are just wanting to have a little extra on hand the best time to express is an hour or so after a morning feed (or whenever your supply is at it's best). If you end up expressing and 5 minutes later you need to breastfeed then you can always give the milk you've just expressed.

Hey darl,

I would express after giving Noah a big feed. Then wait for about half an hour (drinking heaps of fluids in the meantime) then express. There should be plenty of milk for Noah if he feeds every 3 hours.

As for storing the breastmilk. I would chill it first
