My daughter is 7.5 mths and still breastfed. Which I intend to do until she is 12-15mths.Im finding it really hard as she has 6 teeth. And can’t stop her from biting me. :crying: It is so painful to feed her. I have tried taking her off and putting her down for a while and saying no But is hasn’t helped. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. (i really don’t want to stop breastfeeding because of this)

I don't know if this helps but I fed my DS until he was nearly 2. The first time he bit I just made sure I squealed extra loud (more than it hurt) and gave him a huge fright and he burst into tears. I could usually tell when he was going to do it as he would get a cheeky look on his face and I would just say "no biting". It seemed to work but what works for one might not for another. Kids eh??? Hope it gets better as it is very painful.

the first time he done it was 3 am in the morning and i screamed so loud
and well he never done it again

every so often now he gets my nipple between his teeth and laughs and i just say if you bite booby goes away then he continues feeding

hope the bitting stops :fingerscrossed:

Oh your poor thing. I agree with the others, a loud reaction when you get bitten can often do the trick.

I also would remove DD and put her on the floor and walk away after a while she got the message. Also watch out for signs that its going to happen, my risky time was towards the end of a feed so I'd pull DD off when I could see she was getting a bit restless.

It bloody hurts doesn't it. You poor thing :hugs:

Taliyah has no teeth as yet, thank god!!

But Summer AH! She has only bitten me once, I took her straight off the boob and refused to give it back to her and made it VERY clear that it is a HUGE no no!! I done it in a firm voice too (it's hard to do but you've got to get the point across to them)

That was the last time she ever bit me :D

Good luck!
