Hello people,
first I'd like to say thanks to my friend Beck for telling me about this site. I've had a look around and it's going to be very helpful, i can tell.
I'm having a serious nappy rash problem at the moment. My son, 3 month old Aidan, has sensitive skin and the cream our Dr gave us isn't having any effect. Can someone please help. I hate to see my boy in pain.
I look forward to hearing from you all at some point, and give you advice too where I can. bye:)

Welcome, Aiden and mum to the Hub :)
Have you tried QV cream or Ego Silic 15 on your little man? Both are for sensitive skin..
Hi and welcome to Bubhub!
Nappy rash...I'm a big believer in not over doing the chemicals - baby wipes, creams, lotions potions and powders. I believe that most of these things are unneccessary and often cause more problems than they prevent/cure (and they're expensive!!) We have always just used water to clean with and we've done great in the nappy rash stakes:) To clear it up, I would go for something like the Lucas paw paw ointment (red tube - you can get it from the chemist or a healthfood store) or Greenridge Calendula cream. They both work a treat! Alo, lots of fresh air and sunshine on that lil' bottom:D
Good luck with it and enjoy Bubhub:)
Hi there!

Jeeze you get replies quick.
I'll make a note of all your suggestions. Aidan usually gets a bit of no nappy time, but i must admit the last couple of weeks i've been lazy.
The majority of the time we use cloth nappies, but i let the washing get on top of me... NEVER AGAIN.
Even though disposables are great for going out, my boy really can't have them for too long in succession.
I will definately try your suggestions.
thanks again for your quick response:D

Welcome to the hub Ren. I'm sure you'll love it!
You've got a cute lil boy there....:D
HI Ren,
I had the same prob with DD she also has sensitive skin.
I found that trying to give her a few minutes without a nappy after most nappy changes helped in conjuntion with creams.
I have used;
Paw paw ointment,
Silic/Cilic 15(sp..??) (a barrier cream from chemist)
Curash cream and powder (found powder worked better for us)
Aromababy ointment (bought from target in a small glass jar... FANTASTIC!)
I know there was basically anything that was on the shelf we tried and if it worked great! But these were the main ones. You could also ask your chemist what they would suggest too, sometime they can be very helpful.
I know that some days it's hard to find the time but TRY to give bubby as much nappy free time as you can. The summer heat only makes the rash worse and leaving little bottom to air dry before another nappy goes on is very important and it will only HELP the rash heal faster.
Good luck, and welcome to bub hub!
