View Full Version : Faint BFP...What the?
Hi! Help....I'm about to start the IVF journey in May. I'm currently 7 days late and I thought I would just test to see....I use Pregnosis and got a faint second Blue line within about 3 mins of testing. It was visable....clearly there...but very faint. I could see it clearly without having to hold it up to the light etc. Could I be pregs?????????? I was shaking....I have no real symtoms. I don't feel pregs. I only have slightly sore boobs same as if AF would be arriving and very gassy tummy for the last week or so....Has anyone used this brand and had this faint line that turned into a true positive? Or, had a faint but really a Neg. Help...
I haven't had a BFP on this brand before. But hoping this is it for you and that you'll not have to go on the IVF journey.

I hope to god this is a BFP.....I'm testing again tomorrow morning then if i get it again im making a blood test appointment...omg im so excited...
Wow, i hope it is, that would just be amazing! :) I'd test again in the morning too, if you are worried, try another brand and see how you go. But if you are a week late, a positive could definately show up! :thumbsup:

being 7 days late, i reckon you should be able to test at any time of the day. test again i say, try another brand!

Hi Gina.... I have used that brand a couple of times and got a faint but very visable line straight away but I wasn't pregnant!! I hope that is not the case for you :fingerscrossed: and you are pregnant. But wanted to let you know that in my experiences they do give false :bfp: If it is a false pos I wish you all the very best of luck in your IVF journey and you get your :bfp: soon!! :hugs:

Hi darl go and buy a digital pack. it will cleary show you Postive or NEgative no guessing, good luck, this would just be so amazing :wizard:

Ladies, I did one better...I couldn't stand the suspense so I went to my local Medical Centre and they have a pathology department. I saw a GP, showed her my HPT...she was like YEP, it's faint buttt THAT LOOKS LIKE A POSITIVE TO ME!!! and then she took my blood and said she will have my results tomorrow. She started to go over all this pregnancy stuff...like public/private...which hospital I would like...which Dr...I had to stop her and say hey...HCG test first..then all the questions ok.
I can't believe it....I can't get excited.....I just can't because I don't want to fall hard when they say sorry, false positive...or something negative. I won't allow myself to be happy until I hear the results tomorrow! ok...well DH and I are freakn over the moon but still.....who knows! really, like what the hell are the chances of this being POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Gina!! What a great story. I hope you get some sleep tonight! Can't wait to hear about your blodd results - definitely sounds like a goer. My SIL found out she was pg just after her first payment for IVF but before they started!! Miracle baby they called him - and now she's got 2!! All the best.
That would be so amazing fingers crossed for tomorrow!! Hope it's a BFP and i hope the ring you first thing in the morning to save you all the agonising suspense!

Thanks Leeny. It truely is. I know I've said I'll stay on neutral terms until I hear the blood test results but you can't help but feel excited and possibly relieved that I may not have to do IVF....
You kinda feel like a let down in some ways....why can't life be easy? ARH!

So sorry about the neg bt!! Was hoping it was positive for you...BUT, I personally will never use Pregnosis again as I had the same thing happen - faint instant line (on 2 of them!) and a bt confirmed otherwise the next day. So sorry you had a bad experience...its horrible to get your hopes up and then have them dashed! Hope you get the answers you need soon!!
