Swollen hands, feet and legs

Hi all,

Just wanting to know if anyone else has had swollen hands or feet. My feet have been swollen for a while and the last few weeks my hands as well, but today i noticed that my legs were swollen. I rang the hospital as i was a bit worried (my mum worried me more) as im 38 weeks today. The midwife checked my chart and spoke to the ob that was on and she said that if i was getting headaches or any other symptoms to come into the hospital, but i don't have any other symptoms.
My blood pressure has been good all the way through the pregnacy.

I feel better ringing the hospital, but im still a little worried in the back of my mind.
It has been very hot here in Brissy today as well so that hasn't helped at all.

Hi,

I had alot of swelling towrds the end of my pregnancy and had to have an ultrsound done to check it out as only one leg would swell up!

But it usually happened after Id been on my feet all day. I also had the hand swelling thing too, just alot of general fluid retention etc

I wouldnt worry about it too much unless like they said you have any other worrying symptoms etc.

Its not long now and you'll have your bub :)

By the way the swlling may stay with you after the birth, mine lasted several days.

I have 6 weeks to go and just this week started having problems with swelling in my hands and feet, but haven't had any high blood pressure either. However I am occassionally getting bad headaches so I'll keep an eye on that. I think it is to do with the heat and just being at the end of pregnancy. You only have 2 weeks left - lucky thing.

I did Brooksy...and I found a reflexologist that removed that disgusting feeling from my feel and toes....it lasts for about two weeks. I heard a rumour that it gets worse after you have the baby.....and it did.
Sorry. Reflexology helped me.
