Hi everyone. I am trying to decide what free pattern is best and thought it might be easier to ask people that know what they are talking about. It doesn't need to be easy as my Grandmother that has about 65 years knitting experience is making it. And also what wool do I use?
TIA:detective:

The easiest one to start with is the Alice - http://grapevine.net.au/~bluegum/freesoaker.html

Most use 8ply 100% wool, and use size 4 needles. You can get it just about anywhere.....Spotlight, Big W, Kmart etc. Or a million places online!

HTH! Happy knitting :)

I agree with Noo - the Alice is great and can be altered.
100% wool 8 ply is best though 75% will do.

I have a couple of questions too...............
Does anyone know how much wool is needed for one soaker?
With the leg holes, do I just measure bubs thighs or will they need to be smaller than that?? I'm not teh knitter, so that could be a dumb question!
Thanks and sorry for hijacking!

For a soaker 100grams will be enough, small soaker 50grams.
Measure the thighs  This is what I have trouble with :o Getting the cuffs big enough.
