Hi,
I have decided that it is time (it has been time fro quite a while) for me to lose weight. I know that this is gonna be very hard to do. I figure that writing it in a forum as well as talking to my DH is a way that i cannot quit doing it, which is a fear i have because it always happens.
Lets see currently i weigh close to 90kg which may not sound to bad to some but I am only 155cm tall and it isnt spread evenally around everywhere (it is just around the middle, face and legs!)
i have always been bigger but I am determined to stick to it. I am not gonna join a gym but I am gonna get a treadmill and put it in the lounge so it will consetently look at me!
ALso if anyone has any great recipes let me know as i get stuck trying to figure out what to have
If there is anyone also aroud Parkdale/cheltenham who wannts a walking buddy let me know also.
OK well now it starts!!:smiliedance:

Hi Janelle

I started exercising and watching what I'm eating about 2.5 weeks ago. It started as a complete fluke too, would you believe? I put DS in the pram and was going to walk to the corner store, but I kept going and ended up at DP's workshop  2.5kms away from home. Then I had to turn around and come home again. The next night, I walked with my SIL and we did 6kms, then slowly built up until I'm now walking between 9 and 10kms every night. I LOVE IT!!

I used my mum's treadmill too while I was visiting her for a few days, but I much prefer going out and walking. It's too easy to hit the 'stop' button on a treadmill I think.

A site that was recommended to me and that I think might really help get you motivated is calorieking.com.au - it's free and REALLY informative. I've learned HEAPS and now I feel like I can make a real go of losing the excess kgs and getting fit.

After excercising for a week, I weighed myself and used that as my starting weight. A week later when I weighed myself again, I'd lost 1kg and had tone in my legs, shoulders and I can FEEL that my tummy's getting smaller.

If you need someone to keep you motivated, give me a yell. I'm always logged into MSN so you can shout to me anytime you need a push.

Good luck to you  and Congratulations for making the decision.
