I was due on the 14th of march but was overdue and booked in for induction on Friday morning(23rd). But on Thursday morning I phoned the hospital at 3am because I hadnt felt much movement since the night before. So off i went to the hospital by myself at 3am...I got there and they did a trace abd told me that they didnt want me to go home as they werent happy with bubs movements. I phoned Dh and he arrived at 5:30 with my hospital bag.
At 6am the Dr came and broke my waters. Still didnt feel any real contractions. My mum bought Jazzy up to see us and just as they were leaving the contractions started to intensify. This was about 8am. I hopped on the fit ball and started rocking and had a bit of gas. Then i hopped on the bed and rested over the head of the bed, but had a lot of back pain and just couldnt get comfy. The midwife suggested pethidine and went off to get that. When she got back I demanded an epidural!! She gave me the peth and said we would see how i felt after that. About 10mins later i started screaming for the epicdural so she said she would need to examine me to see how dilated i was. As she was farting about putting her gloves on I yelled that i needed to push. I dont think she believed me and then when she went to examine me she could see that i wasnt kidding. So with the next contraction i pushed and Roxys head crowned. A few pushes later and she popped out!She was born at 9:15am. I had only a very minor graze and just couldnt believed it happened so fast.
Felt great till i hopped up to go to the loo and shower and then fainted and convulsed...scared the hell out of Dh! But all was fine after a bit of oxygen.
Roxanna is just beautiful. I Wasnt sure if i could love anyone as much as i love Jazz but as soon as I saw her little face i was madly in love with my little babe! So happy with my two gorgeous girls!
