Was wondering if any of you ladies have any knowledge of / or experience with blocked tubes.

Ive just discovered that i have one completey horribly and irreverseable(?) blocked tube. FS that there is nothing i can do about it. I have an appointment with him in 3 weeks about all my options but I cant bear to wait that long - I can hardly breath.. i feel like my life is crumbling before my eyes... i just told my husband ( he is away with work) and he is really angry ... i think with the world .. but i still feel responsible...

i really need some good stories.. so if anyone knows anything... please let me know

Hi overboard,

I'm so sorry to hear your news. I can understand you must be in shock...

About your DH...remember that men hate to be told about a problem which they can't fix or control... it drives them NUTS...and they HATE it when their woman is upset about something they can't change for her. I'm sure he's feeling sad for you...but in a caveman GRRRR kind of way...(if he's anything like my DH!)

Now for the happy stories! :smiliedance:

My sister in law's first pregnancy was ectopic and resulted in the destruction of one of her tubes - however she subsequently had three lovely children.

My sister also had an ectopic pregnancy and then went on to have two lovely, clever, and very naughty children... :yelclap:

I have a friend who has terrible endometriosis who was told she could never have children. She has two.

I have another friend who never gets periods and was told she will never conceive because she doesn't ovulate. She had two beautiful babies in 4 years without trying. Both of whom she delivered after less than 2 hours of labour (lucky cow!)

Overboard, it must be so awful to discover that you have one irreversibly damaged fallopian tube and I would never try to understate how that must feel...but don't forget you still have one perfectly wonderful fallopian tube for eggs to travel down and turn into babies...

Thinking of you and sending loads of :hugs: your way...

x bonnie

Overboard - I wish to send you some cyber ((((HUGS))). It must be a shock but keep strong. Bonnie has just given some wonderful stories that shows not to lose hope. I dont know exactly what your FS will suggest but if you have one good fallopian tube you have a good chance. The initial panic that you wont be able to conceive hurts, I hope you and DH get some answers from your FS to what your options are. Bubhub is a great place to vent and express your feelings.
