I don't know why, but when I read your thread topic this came to mind...
"Open your eyes, Shelby, open your eyes!"
It doesn't mean anything - but it makes me laugh:p
LOL - I use it all the time when DH can't find things sitting in front of him!!!!
It was from Steel Magnolias (Sally Field's character talking to Julia Roberts, Shelby)

One of my fave would be from A Few Good Men of Col. Nathan R. Jessep (Jack Nicholson)
Son, we live in a world that has walls and those walls need to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and curse the Marines; you have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives and that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives.
You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use then as the backbone of a life trying to defend something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest that you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

Favourite quote and consequently one of my fav movies is from Arsonic and Old Lace (it's a b&w film).
Insanity runs in my family ... It practically gallops!
hehe it's SO my family.
Or Aunty Meme when she hands her nephew a pad and pencil and says "write down any words you don't understand, and I'll explain them to you"
hehehe oh I've gotta find those two and watch them again!
Oh and if you get to watch He died with a felafel in his hand, this part would get you thinking
Danny: Do you ever wonder if its all a big con Flip?
Flip: Eh?
Danny: This. Everything. What if none of it really exists? What if its like some big experiment and we're like ants trapped in a giant petri dish? What if there is a greater intelligence out there and its creating everything purely as a way of stop us going insane on them? What if nothing really exists until we sense it? My room doesn't exist til i walk into it. Front yard doesnt exist till i experience. You don't exist.
Flip: I don't exist?
Danny: Well, you could be just a projection of my inner psyche materialised for my brain in order to keep me company.
Flip: What about the cashmere sweater babes over the road, with their swishy little skirts and all? Would they be from your inner psyche or mine?
Danny: Probably yours I reckon Flip.

For some reason, I can never forget Danny Zuko [John Travolta] in Grease being 'cool' in front of the boys at the drive in saying
"You know how it is, rockin' and rollin'"
[I say this all the time, DH is sick of it!]

I love the part in "City Of Angels" just after Meg Ryan is killed and Nick Cage is talking to that angel and the angel asks Seth if he had known Meg would die if he'd still fallen and Nick says " I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss of her lips, one touch of her hand than an eternity without it." OOooooo I love that!!
I also like "No one puts Baby in the corner!"
Erin I also love the movie "Arsenic and Old Lace"---Cary Grant has some hilarious sayings in that one! :D

I like the part where Mortimer is trying to find out how the guy in the windowseat died and he says "A man just doesnt crawl in a windowseat and die" and one of his aunt says "No dear he drank poison" then they tell Mortimer they put the poison in the wine cause theres less noticeable. :D
And some of the running talk he does to his self trying to figure out whats going on----that is such a funny movie!
I like alot of the old Cary Grant movies----he was a very handsome man.
I like the bit in Lord of the Rings where frodo is dreaming about killing gollum and gandalf says something like "There are those that live that deserve death, and there are those that die that deserve life - can you give it to them?"

Favourite film quotes of mine:
From Broken Arrow:
Giles Prentice: "I don't know what's scarier, losing a nuclear weapon or that it happens so often there's actually a term for it."
From Rocky Balboa:
Rocky: "Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done."
From Casualties Of War:
Captail Hill [watching the investigators dig up the corpse of the civilian that had been kidnapped, gang-raped and murdered by members of Eriksson's platoon and which Erkisson had witnessed, was unable to stop, and thus had reported]: "You couldn't let it rest, could you? You had to push it."
Eriksson: "Go to Hell. SIR."
From I Want Candy [this quote is paraphrased, as I was unable to find the quote word-for-word]:
"Never work with children and animals. And nowhere is that more relevant than in porn."
"Nobody puts baby in the corner"
lmao
Thats what I was going to say!!!:yelclap:
I love dirty dancing!
Has anyone heard how patrick swayze is doing now.
