View Full Version : Covers for flats
I have just received some bamboo flats in the mail, we're going to use them as a back up. They are glorious! So soft and lovely.
Am I right in thinking that the covers that I already have will be sufficient for bamboo flats? I've got some Pul covers, BBH wool covers, wool soakers and some fleece covers. I'm assuming these will be fine (although if not, I really don't mind having to buy more covers).
Any of you cloth gurus able to confirm this for me?
Thanks muchly.

I don't see why they wouldn't be ok.

I've got DS in flats today (MUST do some washing today!), and he's just in Baby Beehinds PUL covers and I've got a Mother-Ease cover lined up for later.
Bron, what brand flats did you get, and where from? Sorry to hijack your thread, but I'm just curious :D .
To answer your question, I think the covers you have sound fine, but you should buy more anyway! ;)
Thanks lovely ones!! I don't think I need more covers yet (I have a lot :o ) - not until it's time to buy medium and large sized ones anyway!
Ziggies Star - they are from Nurture Nappies. Don't know the brand off the top of my head and I'm not waddling to the washing line to check the label (sorry, I normally would, but I'm 37 weeks pregnant so I'm just not), but they are the bamboo terry flats that Nurture Nappies sell.

I reckon the woolies are the best for over flats- jmo though! If you have a couple of them you should be right. LOL- But dont let me stop you buying more by all means! Never such thing as too many nappies OR covers :-D
I say wool and flats go together like a horse and carriage.
I have a bamboo flat and love it.

Those covers sound great :) You might find you need a slightly bigger size cover to go over a flat than a fitted nappy though (my boy has been wearing a medium baby beehinds since about 8 wks over terry flats).
Ah ha! Tea Lady comes through with an excellent reason to buy more covers!
Nice one!:yelclap:

If you also grab some Bummis it means you dont have to master a fold in regards to the flats. Just make them into a rectangle type pad deal & ta-da all done ! Much easier for the males too ;)

Thanks! And I don't blame you for not wanting to waddle... :D
I put prefolds inside PUL covers
