Well a lot of you will know about my past week... a few false starts to labour!!
Well at 10pm Wednesday night I was lying in bed while Dan was timing my contractions & I felt a "POP" inside my tummy which was quite audible to both of us!! I wasn't sure if it was my waters breaking or not so I rang the hospital & they said to come up to get checked out..... I was fully expecting to be sent home again!!
Got there & I was 4cm dilated!!! WOOHOO!! It was the real thing finally!! But, no, my waters hadn't broken!!
Well I guess everthing went pretty normal as far as birthing a baby is concerned. I spent about 3 hours or so in the shower while my darling husband massaged my back!! ( He apparently has very sore hands now... he he he). Then I had a peth injection as I wasn't really coping with the pain very well... So I layed on my side for pretty much the rest of the labour until I thought I need to pee.....
so I got up to go to the loo but just couldn't pee so I spent the next 20 mins walking contractions off then I got back on the bed...
Not too long later I felt a major urge to push..... but the midwife didn't belive I was ready...
Until she saw the head!! LOL HELLO I can feel it!!!
So with only 15 mins of pushing little Ella arrived!! I couldn't believe it!! A GIRL!! I was so shocked but VERY happy!!!!
So compared to Connor's delivery...it went so much smoother!! It was 6 hrs compared to 23!! And I didn't have an epidural this time!! I'm so proud of myself!!

That's fantastic, Becky. Good job! ;) I'm getting excited just thinking about it.. now that I'm past the half-way mark it's becoming more and more real, so I just LOVE easy birth stories. And after all your false starts, you deserved a nice quick one! :p

Congratulations Becky. I'm soooo happy for you. I know you were at your wits end with it all in those final days! Doesn't it seem to drag on and on.
Now you have beautiful Ella, what a clever mummy you are - and no epi either!
I was up that night sometime between 3 and 4am and I had a really strong feeling that something was happening for you. How weird is that! Hopefully all the happy loving vibes helped a little.
I hope you're resting well and making a speedy recovery.
