hi all
tatum is 9mths and the only way to get her to sleep during the day and night is by wrapping her tightly with a muslin wrap. She is such a wriggler!
if she falls to sleep during the day from exhaustion without a wrap she will wake herself within 20-30mins. if she is wrapped she will sleep anywhere from 1hr -2.5hrs!!!!
during the night while wrapped she will wriggle her way up to the top of the cot and end up up against the bars of the cot, usually on her tummy, or lying horizontal or with her head facing the bottom of the cot. she usually will wake up if she has squashed herself up against the cot bars, i just reposition her and she goes back to sleep.
she wakes me at least once due to unwrapping herself and not being able to put herself back to sleep. she keeps crying (not hysterically) then nods off to sleep then starts crying. she is usually sitting up when i get into her room. as soon as i wrap her she goes back to sleep.
it has only been recent that i stopped rocking her to sleep in my arms. now i put her in the cot and stroke her head to relax her and then walk away. this usually works without having to go back in to settle her again.
there is no way that i can put her in the cot without wrapping her (at the moment) she wont stay still. i have also tried rocking her in my arms without a wrap and she wriggles too much (unless she is totally exhausted)
I know i have to stop wrapping her, just dont know the best technique. Any suggestions
