View Full Version : Belly button challenge
Sucking your belly button to your spine works those core ab muscles.
I've been doing this each time i drive Jayce to school. It's about 10 mins each way, I have breaks at the red light :fingerscrossed: if there are any.
I figure i do it twice a day (20 mins altogether), 5 time a week. That's 1 hr 40 mins bracing my abs extra fitness a week.
I've only been doing that for a couple of weeks but i can see my posture is much better and my abs feel great.
Anyone else want to give it a go? It works.

Sounds great...
As soon as I can pull my belly button towards my spine I'll be sure to give it a go:yelclap:
I've only just lost the ability to sit up from laying down position...it's quite funny having to roll on your side to get up...
Only 4more months....

You hold them in for that long? Even with regular breaks i am unsure i could do it, but it sounds like a good idea, will try it out tomorrow when i take the kids to school. Thanks Kiah :)
I dont *think* you are meant to suck it as far as you can, I was told a halfway position is best.
It's rare that I drive so I will replace that with sitting in front of the computer whilst online to Bubhub
bewitched: I can now but i guess ive gradually built the strength over a few yrs. Even if you do it for one minute today, 2 mins tomorrow, it will help. When u lift weights you should be doing this with your bod the whole time to support your back.
emevity: I just brace them, so its just the thought of pulling the belly button to the spine. Does that make sense. I can only pull it in so far.
I'll give it a go:thumbsup:
Hooray! Pls let me know everyone if u see a diff and how long u do it for each day. Thanks
K:hugs:
Today I held my tummy to my spine for roughly bout an hour while I was hanging out 5 loads of washing.
I have been doing this for bout 2/3 weeks know and I believe its working, my tummy seems to be getting harder which I am quite hapy with.
