Soup for tonight....

I have a lovely big loaf of crusty bread that would go really well with some soup tonight - the problem is I don't have any soup!

I usually make minestrone but I'm a bit over it. Does anyone have any other ideas? I have stirfry strips (beef), beef mince, bacon and chicken breasts and also tinned tuna and red salmon. Also mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, shallots, cabbage, zucchini, tinned butter beans and tomatoes and pumpkin.

Please help me come up with something interesting :)

what about some kind of seafood chowder? it would be lovely! You could even include the beans and blend them to make it more protein filled.

Or for something other then soup, you could use the crusty bread to make a delicous sandwich with chicken and bacon and cheese and tomato and so on - sort of like a club sandwich

ETA - Is it a round loaf or a rectangle loaf?

I have this fabulous recipe I can try and dig up where you take the bread out of a crusty loaf and fill it with a bolognese type mixture, top it with cheese and then put the top of the bread back on and cook in the oven.
Then you serve it up in slices like a pie/meatloaf.
Really yummy!
