View Full Version : Can anyone help?
Hi all
I am in the 2ww. O was last week. We have tickets to go to White Water World on the weekend and I am worried about going on all the rides in case we have conceived. Implantation will probably be about then...
Do you think it would be safe or not?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!!
Thanks

All these little things always seem to pop up, and then if ur not pg it like u are stopping ur life in case u are (iykwim). I guess i just think of all those women out there who don't know they are pg and still do all they prob shouldn't if they did know they were pg. Then in saying that, id probably go, but be very cautious on which rides i went on...steer clear of all the really bumpy rides. i've been moving house and lifting and could be pg right now, which has been worrying me, but it had to be done. I wasn't much help sorry :(
We went to Luna Park with some Friends a couple of years ago, and one of them went on all the rides including the bumpiest, scariest ones, and found out she was preg. the next week. She was worried and asked the Dr. and he said that it was okay. Her bub is now a healthy 2 yr old.
I think I would go with what shannysmum says and try to avoid the really bumpy rides if you are worried.
Hi Kyles,
Going to a water park sounds like a nice way to take your mind off the 2ww! And like the others said, if you avoid the rough rides it should be alright?
I totally know where you're coming from though - you don't want to TTC for ages only to take a risk at a critical moment...
I think I'd go and have gentle fun - as if you were definitely pregnant. Pregnant women can still play in the water can't they?
Sorry - probably not much help.

Hi Kyles,
I went to White Water World about a month ago. I had heaps of fun there and there really isn't any bumpy rides. The only bad thing that happened to me was getting really burnt . It was over cast and drizzling so all i can say is please remember the sunscreen.
Hope you have plenty of fun :yelclap: .
Just a word of warning, on average there is about 100 steps you have to climb for every ride!

I was watching a show on foxtel the other day (test tube babies) and after the lady was fertilized the dr said to her "take it easy today but after that resume normal activities, you cant bump the embryo out"
I would have fun but dont go on anything that looks like it could really hurt but you should be fine on most of them...
Thanks for all your replies girls
I might call the park and see if they recommend it or not! Might pay to call my Dr also...
