View Full Version : Botox!
One for the Older mummies: Do you see yourself hosting "Botox" parties in future?
Gee I love how you post this in the older mums section KB! ;) A lot of young'uns are getting this done nowadays too.
I wouldn't get it done, I'm quite happy to keep my facial expressions at a maximum level. :)
As for having the parties, if I didn't have to have the treatment to endorse it and could make a ton of money doing it, then I'd do it!

Hmmm. I've always sort of laughed at celebs getting botox and plastic surgery. But I would secretly love a new nose. I also see how my mother's face has dragged down, and the deep lines from nose down around her mouth and how they make her whole face seem to droop... I'd love to avoid that, but botox scares the hell out of me. More likely to go for a surgery, tho that makes no real sense!
My SIL who is a doctor does cosmetic surgery (laser stuff) and botox so I have easy access when the time comes......but can't see myself ever having it - it has taken me so long to be comfortable in my own skin that the thought of then "freezing" parts of it doesn't appeal. Of course if there was a painless way to have a reshaped nose, better cheekbones, remodelled chin...........

I'm not against Botox but can't see myself ever getting it.
It's taken me a long time to get completely comfortable in my skin and I actually quite like my laugh lines ... it means I laugh alot!
I also really look at people when they're talking so I can get something out of their expressions as well as the tone of their voice ... Botox makes this one a little difficult as everyone you talk to looks surprised.

Why can't the world just age gracefully? ........ like nature intended ..............
Not against botox, but it's not for me.
I do however like the fact that they have found a new use for botox for treating children with cerebral palsy with amazing results - disabled children are walking for the first time.
Now that has to be a miracle! :)
