The YMCA centre at Lanyon used to hold a young mums group every tuesday for 2 hrs, we used to take the kids & they would play while we talked or we would go on little outings. I am trying to find out if they are running it again this year. If any one is interested let me know & I will let you know if they are running it again.

On the Commsatwork website there is a bit about a young mothers group held at Tuggeranong on Tuesdays. I met a young mother a couple of weeks ago and asked her if she knew about it. She said she had gone but was the only mother there. How sad! I couldn't think of anything worst than going to a group and finding out you are the only one there. So, I decided not to look into it.

I would love to go if you or other Bubhub members will be there. I don't want to have a one on one group with my daughter and I.

At this one the girl rings you each monday to find out whos going & whos not & if there is only one girl attending they call it off. But there are always a few of us at each one. This one is held at the Lanyon YMCA centre accross the road from the MACH Centre. It starts up again in a fortnight. on a tuesday usually from 11 - 1. I'll PM you the contact details. Its usually pretty good & They try to get things for both mum & kids like samples from AVON, & othier little things.

Hi all. Im looking for young mums out there who want to get together. I have been living in the ACT (Tuggeranong) for almost a year now and have been unhappy ever since. I have 3 children their ages are 8, 3 & 14mths. I dont know many people here and am finding it very lonely as my partner works long hours. If you want to get in touch please do so. Oh and I would like to try out the young mothers group. will phone around and see when it is on next.

its on every tuesday morning from 11 -1. At the moment the kids age range is from just born to 4, so they all have kids to socialise with.
