hi Kali et al,
put me down for testing around 26/04.
I'm doing a GIFT cycle next month...on Synarel now and will start FSH injects prob around Thurs after Wed blood test.
Unlike a lot of the gals I read about here...I ovulate, have regular cycles, all hormones are great...all is a ok with DP, we just keep missing the eggie. we also conceived DS month after stopping the pill...so you can imagine how frustrated now that it's been over a year.
Don't know what is more frustrating...being told everything is ok or knowing something is wrong. very confusing !!!!
But I also do have the big AGE FACTOR, quality of eggs blah blah blah.
So we're doing GIFT simply to up the chances.
:fingerscrossed: to all...March didn't pan too well...so surely our chances must be pretty good for us in April and therefore our summer babies.
cheers lg
hi adamsmum and bobby
Have added you both.
adamsmum: yes, it can be just as frustrating being in the 'unknown' category. I know how you feel re age... I'm 38 this year so feeling my clock ticking. Hope GIFT cycle works for you this month :fingerscrossed:

Thanks Again Kali,,
I will be testing at some point in April,,,, I just don't know when.....
FF says I am 6dpo,,, but my temps have never been this low after O, so I think I will probably O in the next few days... ( I better DP is getting tired and I'm scared that my constant nagging for BD will not work for much longer)
I am hoping for a April BFP, It can be a late Birthday pressie my birthday is 2nd of April- so if FF is right then AF is due on my birthday.... I really do not want that .. for more than one reason IYKWIM.
Anyway I know April is a Lucky month.... good luck to all Bring on the Positives:D
HI Marcelsmum
Hmmm. maybe birthday is lucky! I've put you down for the 3rd for now. You can let me know if you want me to change it once you're temps / chart clears give you a better idea

Hi girls
Kali, thanks for doing the calendar again! I dont know when Ill be testing as I think af is just arriving now for me (anovulatory clomid cycle), as Im spotting and have cramps.
Have been spending less time online, so Ive missed you girls! But, I feel refreshed and ready to tackle ttc again! DH and I will be going away to the states in 8 days, so Im hoping the holiday will relax us both and we will come back with a :bfp: ! I will be there for 5 1/2 weeks, but dh will only be there with me for 2 weeks, so am really hoping I ovulate while hes with me!
Had my endo appt last Sat and he has started me on diabex xr for the insulin resistance, but I have to get a glucose tolerance test today before starting the meds. I HATE those tests! Anyway, hoping the meds will help get me back into shape and healthy. Ive lost 7kgs so far, but have SO many more to go!!
Anyway, sorry for the ramble, just thought I would catch you all up on whats been going on. Am excited to face April with you all and watch the BFPs roll in...
xxxx
 Plump. I"ve put you down for testing.
Well done on the 7kg weightloss. Great that you are feeling in such a positive frame of mind.
Hopefully a holiday and break away from the stresses of everyday life will help you. Gotta tie that DH of yours down tho.... don't let him escape till you've O'd and 'done the business'!
How did your glucose test go today?

1st of the month tomorrow and I wanted to wish those that are testing all the very best and I am sending you lots of postive, sticky vibes and lots of baby dust :wizard:
I have everything crossed for you and I can't wait to see the first of our December babies :)
As for me not much happening on the trying natural thing. DH has been a little unwell, I think this giving up smoking is sending his body into shock, but that is OK I rather him be 100% first.
Have another Christening on today, this one is for my nephew (my sisters second child) and then tomorrow I am watching my 3 year old nephew (my sisters first son) have his first game of rugby league, they are playing a game with the under 15's, it is going to be so cute and of cause I am the good aunty and I will be videoing it all.
DH has gone away for the weekend, he plays rugby league for his home town and he travels most weekends, I go with him when I have a free weekend but at the moment, weekends are full so he goes and I stay, which is sad, but even sader this weekend as I am due to O any day now, but I remember staying last month that this month there will be no pressure, so if we miss it, we miss it and I guess we will try again next month.

Hi LJHarmony, the side effects are horrible arent they. Around mid cycle I have dizziness and feeling lightheaded. I fainted this cycle, so have a few things to tell the FS when I go back 24th of April. The hot flushes are the worst. I'm hoping for a +ve this month because I dont think I can take it anymore , the Clomid is killing me.
How are you going?
I'm on cd 29 so nearing the end of the 2ww. AF is due Wed.
Best of luck, I look forward to seeing all the :bfp:s being announced soon. I cant wait, the excitement is killing me.

Morning girls,
How is everyone??
There are some faces in here that I dont know, so hi!!
Campbell and LJ, sorry the s/e of clomid are giving you probs. Im going onto my 3rd round (150mg) and am a bit worried about the s/e this time. I havent really had any the last 2 cycles. Esp since we are leaving to the states on Wed and Im starting the new round tomorrow, Im a bit worried Ill be having to deal with the s/e on the plane!
Just a quick update: after 7 days of spotting, af finally showed on her own (no meds) on cd 47. Long cycle and no ovulation, but at least she showed on her own. Am only hoping the met that I started a couple of days ago will get things regulated again! Like I said, will start clomid (or soy) again tomorrow as dh and I have 3 weeks together before he leaves me in the states to come back here, so I MUST ovulate before then!! Will keep you updated on progress...
This HAS to be the month of :bfp: s!!! Come on April!
Have a great day ladies!

I hope that you don't get too many s/e, that would be awful on a plane I have my :fingerscrossed: for you.
I am dreading this cycle not working and having to take 150mg next round also. But then again if it gets us ovulating then all the better the chances for having a bubba.....I grin and bear the s/e, how about you?
Femme la Phoenix
01-04-2007, 09:04
Hi CampbellsMum
I hear you.....I am dreading another round at higher dose, I really am. It is the worst cycle I've had and the other three won't great by any means.
I don't know how much the injections are, but with DP out of work ATM things are tight. I really *wish* I could say to the FS how horrible this cycle was and if I'm not successful to give me the injections for next time......but alas I don't think I can afford it.
{does anyone know how much the injections are?}
I might have to ==> :D and :devil6: it lol
You poor thing, fainting, I hope that it was at home and you weren't alone :hugs:
:fingerscrossed: for your BFP on Wed, I really hope that this it for you!!
I am looking forward to hearing about all the BFP's for this month, it is exciting especially since we have all being trying for such a long time, it makes it even sweeter
Hi guys.
Welcome to April. Hoping this month brings some baby making magic to us all :wizard:
Helen: you must be so excited about starting your IVF cycle tomorrow. Good luck!!!!
LJ and Campbellsmum; goodness, this clomid thing seems to realy knock people around. I've never been on it but it certainly sounds like it can have awful effects - especially the mood swings.
Plump: Hoping its not too bad for your plane trip. You must be so excited! I always get excited before travelling. Don't forget to pack all your liquids in a clear plastic bag before you get on the plane. oohhh I hope you O on time!! What pressure... 3 weeks with your DH only! Will you be online while you are there? Let us know how you go with O
LJ: I think Julie (MorganJ) is on the FSH injections so she might be able to tell you how much they cost.
I googled another forum and there was a similar question - someone answered. Hope it helps:
From memory the Puregon cost about $30 per 3.6ml ampoul - the number of injections you get from each one depends on your dosage. One Puregon cycle for me cost about $90 (3 ampouls).
The pregnyl injections (which is a trigger shot taken once your follicles are ready) comes in a box of 2x3 ampouls (ie, good for 3 cycles) which I paid approx $52.00 for.
Now its important that you have a prescription from a FS for the injections otherwise you'd have to pay full price as Sammy listed above. A GP's script is not good enough - only an FS can get you the reduced prices. (Apparently they have some sort of government authorisation).

the things we have to go through for our BFP's....
Tonysgirl (IVF thread received news of her :bfp: this morning!! it's all happening)
:hugs: thankyou Kali for looking into the injections for me, I appreciate it so much. This cycle (#4) has being the worst; the most shocking s/e I've had so far has to be the suicidal fantasies......I have being dreading the thought of another clomid cycle it's just being that severe.
I was thinking of asking my FS about skiping the next clomid cycle @150mg due to the suicide thoughts; but didn't know if we can afford it if it was big$$$$$
this cycle has cost $50 for a full box of clomid (10 tabs) so it's not really much more for injectables really.......:smiliedance:
I can't thankyou enough for looking into that for me., I'll ask Julie when she is back on about hers too. But I reckon I'll be asking my FS about it when I see him for the follie scan  But how do we know they aren't going to make mood swings worse??
hi all, hoping for us all!!!!! Hey LJHarmony -im on ther FSh injections 10x puergon, 1x ovidrel (trigger) then 2x Pregnyl after insemination... Cost:Puergon $40Ovidrel $30pregnyl $49.95I have found S/E ok - if you want to know more just ask- i'll give you all the info i have!DH 28 Me 27IUI #2TTC 17 monthsM/C

:hugs: thankyou atlast for all your info, I appreciate it.
At this point it's the nasty s/e from clomid that worries me, but I don't really want to exchange them for worse ones with the injections.
I'll have to have a word to my FS when I see next I think
thanks alot :hugs:
Good Evening Ladies
No idea when I'll be testing ladies. Having my u/s Tuesday so I'll guess we'll see how it's all looking then.
Have been on the injections for four days now - no severe s/e yet so hopefully I won't get any as I'm starting my new job tomorrow. I'm on a very low dosage though. Injecting myself each morning isn't much fun though.
Sorry to all those ladies who are suffering side effects :hugs: :hugs: .
LJ - my injections cost $30 for three boxes. I think I get about 6 injections a box but then I'm on a low dosage remember.
Better run and finish this damn assignment I'm working on.
Femme la Phoenix
01-04-2007, 18:50
thanks Julie, $30 that is more reasonable than clomid!
When you say "low dose" can I ask what dose your on?
and no severe s/e either now that does sound great!!
:: I hope this a good month for you Julie as this is a really hard week for you with your due date coming up.....I'm thinking of you and really, really understand what it's like :hugs: chin up hon it will work out for the both of us soon::
Thanks LJ! :hugs: You are so thoughtful. And yes you are right - I would have been 36 weeks and two days today! My dosage is currently only 37.5 so very low. I have had a couple of tense moments - hopefully they don't get any worse.
Hi LJ: Sounds like atlast and Julie have the right figures for the FSH injections. Have a good talk to your FS - hopefully you'll be able to go onto them and the side effects won't be too bad.
Julie: hope your new job went well today! Thinking of you... i know how awful 'first days' can be. V keen to hear your news from tomorrow's scan too. Hope you have some nice follies emerging :fingerscrossed:
Well, I had my IVF rego visit today. After all the build up, I'm feeling a bit subdued.... not quiet teary, but a bit down. Its quite a journey we are about to embark on.
News on my medicare refund: unfortunately there is no more refund  They bulk billed me for the monitoring and sperm prep. The $850 they charged was just for planning and management. Of that I just got the $64 back. So we are out of pocket $1600 for the two IUIs. Still, at least that puts us over the safety net for the IVF. Had to hand over a cheque for $3600 today!!!! We can't claim that back till the end of the cycle. Not enough in the bank to cover it so am about to hit the phones to borrow enough from friends and relies.... sigh... the things we go through.
We went through all the meds this morning and I learnt how to do my injections. The nurse gave me a little lesson and had me practice on a special sponge thing. DH looked a bit white.... They also warned me about the mood swings, bloating, headaches, constipation and bruising around the injection sites. Its really the injections that frighten me. I'm going to have to try to work on my phobia between now and when i start them in a couple of weeks time.
Had a blood test and the nurse will ring me tomorrow and let us know when to start the nose spray (synarel). It will likely be thursday. They gave us a little esky with all the meds in it - its in my work fridge now. Hoping noone opens it!!
Well, enough for me now. Hope you're all OK. Helen, where are you up to??

Afternoon Everyone:hugs:
Hi Kali,
Started my nasal spray today, ( boy it tastes YUK!)
Starting my injections tomorrow...I will be having my first scan next tuesday and if all is going well will be going in around the following Monday 16th for ER.......
Kali, I hope we don't get the bad mood swings they say can come with the nasal spray...have for warned my DH but he said he does not mindValentine
I was a bit nervious this morning to start everything but now I can not wait for my scan next week, I have had the FSH injections before and always do my trigger injection each month so I am not too worried about the injections......
:fingerscrossed: I will only have to do it for 1 cycle anyway

Hi Girls,
Well If FF is right then I am 1 day late.......
I actually think I only O'd about 3-4 days ago.... What do you guys think...
I was to scared to test this morning,,, I did not want to bring myself down with a BFN on my birthday,,
I beleive very much in Murphys Law.... If I had tested it would be negative,,, If I hold off It will be positive and I will kick myself for not testing and giving myself the coolest Birthday pressie ever....
One of the girls in the TTC6mth+ thread just announced her positive ... congrats again to VIVA....
I think us long termers anf assisted conceptions need to celebrate each and every BFP... It gives hope.
:fingerscrossed: for everyone..
Kali, it looks like your into the exciting phase,, I'm sure that mummyhood is just around the corner..
Julie- i know how hard the anniversaries are.. I have a big shoulder if you need it...
LJ Harmony - I just want you to know how much I admire you... You are always there for those that need you.. You are amazing...
everyone else---- BRING ON THE POSITIVES..
Hi everyone, we have been "trying to conceive" for about17 months and I have been off the pill for 3 years this month and sorting out hormones and such.
At the moment I just seem to need a little "normal" support from others in the same boat as me:confused: I will test on April 28th as I have just finished Af. Not too sure if this is where i can post or is there another thread i can go to...thanks and babydust to all:wizard:
Me - 31
DH - 35
clomid 3months 06
lap and hyst 06
all results good. nothing wrong at all....
acupunture and herbs 6months
IUI possibly in May/June
Hi girls
Just a quick one this morning as I've got an early class to teach this morning.
Lots of exciting things going on in here :wizard: for you all
MM happybirthday to you!!
meltux - welcome along, I'm sure you'll find this thread very warm and helpful
I've taken 3 of my clomid tablets now and the only s/e so far have been headaches. They have also messed with my BBT but that is normal also and it's all supposed to go back to normal as soon as the last tablet wears off. I'm really looking forward to having my u/s on Monday. I'm a little worried as my FS can never find my right ovary  I know it's there and so does she from the lap. (I have photos) but I'm sure she won't be able to see how many follicles there are. Anyway, will worry about that on Monday.
Have a good day all.

Hello all, I wish you all the very best and I hope to see lots of BFP's this month, we need to bet the number of BFP's from March, I think it was 6, but no pressure :)
marcelsmum - I had a look at your FF and I get all confused with this temp tracking as well, but it looks like your O'd around CD 19, so I have everything crossed for you and I hope this is your month. It think if you did O around CD 29 then wouldn't your FF adjust itself as you have had a few days of increased temps since then. I know it is hard but if it was me I would be doing a HPT, I know it is hard, and you do hope, but maybe it will be a BFP but I guess it can't hurt to wait a few more days as well to see what your temps do. I am sorry I don' think I have helped at all :) I wish you all the very best and take care
As for me I am in the 2ww, today is CD 18 / 3DPO, so we will see :fingerscrossed:
Anyway I am sorry for not doing more personnels, I will pop in later but for now I must get ready for work :)
Good morning,I just popped in quickly to say hello. LJ - the clomid really knocks you around, I hope your FS can find something with less s/e. KALI & HELEN - very excited for you starting your meds for IVF. MARCELSMUM - have my fingers crossed for you and Happy Birthday, your so strong keeping away from the HPT. MACCA - I am doing the same as you, natural no pressure, but its still something you think about a few times a day. WELCOME MELTUX - you will get heaps of support from these lovely ladies. It is difficult and frustrating at times and just telling someone really helps. LILITH - hope that clomid does its job with no s/e.Hello to everyone I have forgotten, GOOD LUCK AND BABY DUST TO ALL. I am on TWW, not wanting to be negative but dont think we have a chance so AF will arrive on Saturday by my calculations with a 28day cycle but she's been unreliable lately. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
hi everyone...just wondering who can give me some info on IUI? What is involved and is it better to go clomid or injectibles. My FS wants me to go injections as i have tried clomid last year. I ovulate regularly and have great cycles since doing acupuncture and herbs since November 06. I am just so unsure but maybe this is the only way to go as I really want a:bfp: this year.
Side effects of injections? SE of IUI???
thanks and i am really looking forward to being able to talk to people in confidence!
thank you again:)
Thanks for the welcomes and i jut wanted to add that i would love to go natural and with as little pressure as possible but it is soooooo hard when EVERYONE is falling pregnant around me and constantly asking why I have no children yet etc etc (yer....NO PRESSURE!!!)...
but all is good and holidays in 3 days yay:smiliedance:

Hi everyone
So sleepy this afternoon and I'm not sure why....just being busy the last few days and getting over being sick I imagine
Bobby: I hope that something can be done, I will be meantioning it to him. Only thing though, if I've produced a good follicle this cycle and do ovulate....he might not do anything....because treatment has being successful. So I'll hand it over for his judgement.
Kali: I hope everything is going well, how are you finding the spray - so far - ?? Do you get a list of all the meds and when/how much to take them?? I would reckon it would get very confusing if they wanted you to remember from the consult!
BIG HI'S to everyone else, I sorry I am just way to knackered to type ATM....so I'll update my diary and make a cuppa.
Opp's....Hi Meltux, welcome to the thread I hope you are finding your way ....I look forward to getting to know you over the coming weeks!!
Enjoy your afternoon
hi everyone...just wondering who can give me some info on IUI? Side effects of injections? SE of IUI???
thanks and i am really looking forward to being able to talk to people in confidence!
thank you again:)
Meltux: Hi I am on second go IUI, has been ok. been fine with all the injections: i have no pain threshold and was a scardy cat with injections.. and they have been easy...... No side effects - oh actually a little bit of a bloated tummy and sore pelvic area.... I am going to start a thread as i wud like to know success stories or lack of sucess with IUI.. we will have one more go then do IVF. Please if i can help at all let me know.. Hi to all other chicks - hope your all well. x x
Hi all
phew - its been a busy couple of days so I haven't had much time to post.
 Welcome Meltux and atlast!!! Hope you find some good support in here. I had two IUI cycles, but both natural. There are a few ladies in here though who have had stimulated IUI cycles.
Bobby, Macca, Helen, Lillith, LJ, Marcelsmum, ... hope I haven't forgotten anyone.... thanks for your support.... I've been so wrapped up in 'me' things wiht this IVF starting that I've been slack at following how you're all going.
Helen: Have you started you injections? today wasn't it? I got my BT results today. Nurse rang to say I had to start the Synarel nose spray tonight and take that for 12 days, then injections from after that. Probably start injections around 13 April and will likely do the EPU around 23 April. Looks like I'll be about 10 days behind you. I wonder why they make me use the spray for longer than you?
Glad you're not feeling too nervous now. You're lucky that you've had that experience of injections already as I think getting past the fear of those is half the battle. What day is your scan next week?
Bobby: Good luck in the TWW. Hoping that this is your month. when is AF due?
Marcelsmum: oooohhhh its exciting! When will you test??? Any news?? And happy birthday for yesterday!!! happybirthday Did you have a fantastic day?
Julie: :hugs: for your due date anniversary. We're all thinking of you. it must be a sad time. How is your new job going?
Lilith: Hows the clomid coming along? Have you finished your tablets yet? Monday not far away!!! Hoping it works for you
LJ: Sleepy is good. As long as you are getting a good night sleep and letting your body regenerate. Yes, hopefully you'll produce a few good follies this cycle so you won't need to consier next steps.
You are right; the consult was very confusing. So much info and different insturctions on the meds. I didn't write it down so already I forgot whether I had to take the spray one in each nostril or just one spray in one nostril. Had to ring nurse to ask! Too much info alll at once I was overwhelmed.
Macca: HOpe the next few days go quickly for you ..... not long now, and with easter coming it will fly by.

Hi Kali, not sure why you have to be on the nasal spray so long before starting injections?
I am going to be on the nasal spray until ER I think...they said to keep taking it until they say not too....what dose are you on with you injections...I am on 250:eek: I think that is alot but apparently it is normal.....I am having my scan next tuesday morning so I will keep you informed....
A big  to LJ, Lilith, Marcelsmum, bobby, Macca27975 and all the other new ladies that I am sure I will get to know....sorry if I have missed you and sorry for not many personal posts the past couple of weeks....I too like Kali have been only thinking of my IVF sorry:rolleyes:
And this nasal spray they have us on causes a chemical menopose...so I have become a bit hazy and vaig at times ( not sure of the spelling in this sentence)
But I have been reading everyones posts and keeping an eye on you all
:wizard: to everyone
Cheers Helen
Kali - good luck with all the new meds... Ziggyzena - bloody AF, doesn't listen ever!!!!
Helenwantsabub and Kali - i am on my second go at IUI and FS said i cud have one more before IVF, but i'm really thinking i might just go straight onto IVF when AF arrives this month:banghead: I really don't feel confident with IUI - injections have been fine.
Good luck to all :fingerscrossed:
So sorry ziggyzena. :hugs: What a bummer. Very sad for you. We all understand how you must be feeling. Hoping that April will be your month.... :fingerscrossed: will you be testing again in April?
Helen: yes, i'm not sure why; basically I have to take nose spray for 12 days, then start injections, but also keep nose spry at that time till they tell me to stop. Haven't had any side effects yet... but I've only had two sprays so far. Not sure what my dose of injections will be...i'll check when i get home and let you know.
Welcome Trina! I'll put you down for testing on the 17th. Do you want to give a a short line about yourself to post at the bottom of the calendar as for the other ladies?
You too ... atlast?
Yes, to be honest I just felt that I didn't want to wast another month on the IUI as i had very little faith in it to work. In a way, since you're on the injections anyway, and suffering all the side effects, then it makes sense in some ways to just do the IVF and increase your chances. But talk to your FS ... and start saving as IVF is bloody expensive!!
Hi all...I am so thrilled to be part of this thread and feel so relaxed and happy about sharing some things with others...who understand! thanks in advance everyone!
Kali - how many IUI's have you done and if you don't mind me asking - what is the estimate cost???I have mixed figures from people and doctors. Also what about IVF....do you pay everytime you go in to retrieve eggs?????
Sorry I am sure i will find all of this out when I go into see my FS and his nurses next month but thought I would get some idea beforehand....FS can be soooooo "happy-go-lucky" and "oh you'll be fine..." instead of telling me straight!!!! Don't get me wrong he is great but just sooooo damn smiley and nice! (just had to vent and take it out on poor 'ole FS at the moment - sure some feel the same at times)
Atlast - I too am scared of injections and have ALWAYS said I wouldn't go this way BUT....it is getting ridiculous and I suppose I have to accept that I need some help and it is not going to "just happen" as everyone keeps saying. I actually spoke this ou aloud last night to DH and it felt good....acceptance I think.
Sorry to waffle on but it feels better to get it out at last and I know you will all understand...i feel safe and secure sharing with you all
LJ harmony - hi to you too and look forward to hearing about you and your experiences
Helenwantsabub - Hi:wave:
trina73 - hi and good luck testing!!!
Ziggyzena - Soory about AF...i hate her too and definately does not listen!!!!:banghead:
Also huge hello's to everyone else on the thread and look forward to "chatting" and "sharing"
:fingerscrossed: :bfp: for all very soon!!!
And i am trying to get some info up on my page etc and some pics
Hi Kali
here is my info:
ttc#2 since may 06, currently on clomid.

:hugs: it would be like learning a differant language...I really feel for both you and Helen. Have you tried getting support in the IVF thread? All the girls are lovely and there is wealth of love and knowledge that could help it addition to being here (just a thought) but just know that I'm thinking of you and really hoping this has a worthwhile outcome for you
And this nasal spray they have us on causes a chemical menopose...so I have become a bit hazy and vaig at times ( not sure of the spelling in this sentence)
it's understandable that IVF is taking all your attention now, it's very involved. Just want to wish you all the best and I so hope that it works well for you
LJ harmony - hi to you too and look forward to hearing about you and your experiences
same here, it really is good when we can all help each other. We have all being TTC for a long time, so if we can pull together it makes our time before pregnancy that much more * bearable *
Hi everyone
I've had my appointment with the FS and not quiet sure where I'm up to at this stage as I have to have a blood test........so will be later before I know what we are doing and if anything happened (as far as ovulating - if I did there is a 99.9% chance we missed it)
But we'll see how the bloods come out before jumping the gun. I've done a complete 180 in my thinking....although this cycle has being hard s/e wise, if it did produce good results then I could do 1 or 2 more you know....if I know that it's going to be worth it I could grin and bear it for that long
Hope everyone elese is having a great one today!!
:wave:Chicks!!! Sorry i thought i had given a little run down - opps (wish i could say it was the pregnant brain - or whatever they say)
Me 27 and Husband 28.. IUI - in second cycle:banghead: We fall in 'unexplained category'. We have been trying since Dec 05!!!
well i spoke to FS today and she said if AF comes this month its our choice if we go IVF - and we have decided we will... So we will go to the meetings before Af arrives if she does then we will be ready to begin.. i'm guessing we can start straight away.
Helen and Kali - when Af arrive do you have meds that day or is it like IUI when you begin third day in?????
Meltux - i know where you are... I was scared sh*tless... But it was all ok and i actually renewed my positivity as i felt we were closer to the bubba we so desperately want!
Ljharmony - :fingerscrossed:

Hi Atlast...
I started meds on day 2, I started nasal spray on cd2 and injections on cd3...but Kali is a bit different...also they did not let me pick up and pay for the meds until my af arrived...so I more or lest had to go in that day.....
Please feel free to ask any questions
Cheers Helen
Thanks helen,
My FS rang me tonight to see if i was interested in a 'trial' at Melbourne IVf..
It is trialling an injection that lasts for 7 days instead of one every day. and nasal spray and trigger etc...
The best part of this is the trial is FREE!!!! YOu have to weigh over 60 kgs - which i do and be under 38 which i am.
Then i can use the embryos as i wish - ie if first go is not successful, i can do injections everyday the next time.. (this didn't really make sense to me)
As i thought say they got 8 embryos then you don't have to take injections each time they are implanted.. i thought the injections were just for the preparing.. can you shed any light on this - if it makes sense? Sorry if this does not make sense?
Love (atlast) Gem

WoW atlast that sounds like a fantastic opportunity:smiliedance:
are you going to be in it? wish I lived in Melbourne:yes:
(don't know much about IVF) but I do know that there are differant cycles.....stim cycles and a full ?? cycle where you use the spray, injections, scans, triggers, egg transfers, waiting for fertilisation, then embyro transfer. With a stim cycle you don't have to go through "all of it".
== hoping someone who knows a bit more can shed some light for you ==
Thanks Ljharmony,
Yeah i think we will give it a go.. We have a few questions for nurse when she rings - is it a full cycle? what is the success so far? as i don't want to do it and then they only get a few embryos because they were not stimulated enough or something.... She said i had to wait 4 weeks between this IUI. Which means if AF arrives on 16th. Which means i cud start 16th May.... :ecomcity:
LJHarmony are you IVF or IUI or natural:confused::confused: and how long TTC
Hi LJ: Thanks, yes, i have joined the IVF thread too.... although this is still my main home as I've gotten to know you all and want to see you all through to your BFPs
When will you get your BT results? I do hpe that follies are growing, but that you haven't Od and missed the eggie
:fingerscrossed: Sounds like you have a much more positive mindset about this and future cycles.
Atlast: Oh that's so fantastic..... how lucky are you?!!!! :yelclap: I'm so envious. I looooove the idea of one injection that last 7 days. woohoo!! will you be in it? When will you start??
To answer your earlier question.... (might be irrelevant now), but yes, my FS had a different regime for me than for Helen. In my case, I had to wait for AF. Then on day 22 (well, it ended up being day 19 for me as my Blood test said my hormones were ready) they get me to start the Synarel nose spray, which I take twice a day for 12 days. Then I start the FSH injections which I take along with the nose spray for a further 6 to 8 days before EPU. Not sure why they do things differently with my clinic.
Helen: I checked my FSH and I'm using Gonal-F 150 dose. I think that's the lowest for IVF - as i haven't had them before they are starting out conservative.
Meltux: I've done 2 cycles of IUI before moving to IVF. I paid $850 up front. Had to wait till end of cycle when AF came that to get medicare claim of $64.30

Thanks Ljharmony,
Yeah i think we will give it a go.. We have a few questions for nurse when she rings - is it a full cycle? what is the success so far?
your welcome....they might not be able to answer, how successful it is ATM, due to it being a trial and they are testing a new drug. Point of being on the trial is to see how successful its' going to be and they might not know this.....but might be able to give you a rough idea.
In any case it is a great opportunity to take part and might help you become pregnant sooner than you think.
LJHarmony are you IVF or IUI or natural:confused::confused: and how long TTC
We have being TTC for 10 years 4 months or about 136 cycles...
of those 132 were completely natural no drugs....
4 have being clomid cycles
and of those cycles too, only 14 have being cycles where if I conceive the embyro had a chance of survival.
My factor has being undiagnosed sleep apnea; since DS was born I've had it apparently. It was quiet severe in a 5minute period I wouldn't breathe for 1.36minutes...every five minutes for as long as I slept.
All is good now  we can move forward towards our dream.
how long have you being trying for?

Thanks LJ...I too have popped into the IVF thread to introduce myself as I am sure I will have alot of questions for them....
Good morning girls
Thank god it's a short work week this week, one more day and I'm off for 10 days. Yeah.
atlast - how exciting about the "trial", ttcing can be so expensive so any bit of "free" help is great, although I'm hoping that AF doesn't arrive for you by the 16th and you'll have your BFP
meltux - I'm on my 2nd IUI. I have "unexplained" infertility, I ovulate monthly and DH's SA is good. We did a natural IUI the first month and this month I asked to do a medicated IUI so I've been using clomid. The idea being that I'll produce 2 or 3 eggs doubling my chance of at least one being fertilised. I'll have a scan on Monday to see how it's gone. I'm usually have to pay about $1000 up front but get almost half that back on Medicare. To do the same thing with the IVF clinic was about $300 more so prices do seem to vary a bit.
Julie - how's the new job going? I guess you're very busy having to learn all the new ropes. Did you have your scan?
MM - :fingerscrossed: hoping AF hasn't shown up still and a BFP is right around the corner
macca - how's the tww going? hopefully it's going fast for you.
Kali - how's the nasal spray? Did you think it tasted as yukky as Helen did? It must all seem very proactive I think as your helping your body get ready to conceive rather than just sitting around and waiting.
Helen - hope your finding the spray "tastier" , I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday when you have your scan.
bobby - another twwaiter, stay away AF
ziggyzena - so sorry AF came
LJ - any bt results yet? hopefully clomid produced some good follies for you this month
I took my last clomid table last night :yelclap: which hopefully means by tonight, my headache will be gone. I've basically had a small, niggly headache for the past 3 days but still thankful that that was the only s/e. Clomid definitely did something for me even if it was only to my BBT (usually pre-o I'm around 35.9 but temp has been about 36.4).
Have a great day all.
Hi Lilith,
:fingerscrossed: for your IUI... What do you mean by natural IUI?? Is that when they put spermie up with no prior meds?
i had puergon before both of mine. 1st time produced 2 folices on one side, 2nd time had 2 good sized folicles - one on each side... So hoping for :bfp: and i'm hoping for you too!!!!!!! When do you test? I hate 2ww'ing! at least it's easter and that will take our minds off it - maybe!
Sendind baby :wizard:to you all....
Hello everyone:wave:
Have been really busy this week at work and am REALLY looking forward to holidays (I have 10days off and will be ovulating then too so lots of BDing!!!!)
Lilith - Clomid gave me headaches too as well as aches in legs, hot flushes, nausea.....yucky. Do you think this will happen when i am on the injectables???
LJHarmony - You are a VERY AMAZING Person and an inspiration to all in here! Your story is one of dedication and love....
Atlast - I think I missed you story of the "trial". Can you please recap for me what you are doing???? thanks
Kali and helen - what is the nasal spray....progesterone??? Do you take after O??
Sorry for the questions but I am just catching up with all of this and am curious....

Your right it is noticable isn't it...the increase in BBT, I've noticed it too. Clomid produces a surge of LH and FSH to stimulate the ovaries and your BBT rises and you may even notice more ovarian discomfort from now until ovulation. I'm hoping that it works really well for you.
LJHarmony - You are a VERY AMAZING Person and an inspiration to all in here! Your story is one of dedication and love....
awww shucks meltux...I'm blushing now.
that is really nice of you
thankyou
Good Morning Everyone
How mysterious this cycle is....I had absolutely no idea that I'd ovulate earlier this time round and over-looked excruicating ovary pain the night before the BIG O and we only had S#X 6 days prior to ovulation
I don't think it is possible to have a more disorganised cycle if you tried :banghead:
Now, I'm 6 DPO and now almost half way through the TWW
Kali can you please change testing day to around the 16th (that will give an extra 3 days up my sleeve) I should know what's going on by the 16th thanks
I'm looking forward to hearing how everyone is going today and catching up with all your news.
Hope your having a wonderful day!!
hi girls.
Having a VERY busy day at work. Will try to catch up on personals tonight or tomorrow (yay for easter weekend!!!!)
sending you all :hugs: for now

Hi Girls, well maybe i will be testing again this month. if af comes erarly again then will be testing around the 29th of april lucky me two times in one month yay yay. Although going by my temps i don't think i o'ed this cycle. I will be seeing gyno on the 18th so i will see what he has to say this time hopefully now we will start some kind of progress, any way :fingerscrossed: I just sooo want to fall pregnant this year age is creeping up i will be 31 this august.
Spreading :wizard: :wizard: to all of you xxx
Good morning, Easter break tomorrow- yaaaayyy! Hope everyone is fine.LJ - I know how you feel when you think youve missed the egg, especially when you are being monitored so closely. I often wonder with the pains near the ovary at that time of month cos some months the little pains start quite early and go for about 5 days then nothing and then pains just before AF.ATLAST - what an excellent opportunity for the trial, all the best. Will be following your progress.LILITH - All the best for your scan Monday - hope your eggs are maturing nicely for you.ZIGGZENA & XPECTANT - sorry AF arrived, yes she's a b!tch. MARCELSMUM - How are you going - Have you tested? Your temps are up?MELUX - how are you? I dont know anything about injectables and FS has never mentioned them, I am prescribed clomid. I ovulate each month, had endometriosis removed last year and DH has ED so we do clomid and trigger stimulated IUI for a better chance each month. Have done 5 IUI and only given one more shot then IVF is only other option if it doesnt happen naturally and it hasnt for the last 8 years so would be a miracle if it happened now.I dont get s/e that I notice from the clomid but we are quite busy at work so I can sometimes be insensitive to my body. So clomid from day 2 to 6, with scan on day 12 to see how many mature follicles and insemination on day 13.HELEN & KALI - you could be mistaken for junkies with all that talk of injecting and sniffing LOL.GOOD LUCK to everyone testing soon and on TWW. AF due to visit Saturday and waiting is excrutiating. Well I just wasted an hour doing this post but tic toc tic toc time seems to stand still. Might start something at work this afternoon that is impossible to finish and the time will fly hopefully. Ciao for now.
Hi girls!
Can you please put me down as a hopeful BFP. I've had faint positives today and yesterday so here goes on the rollercoaster. I'm only 13 DPO so don't want to count my chickens!
Hope you all have a fabulous Easter break and :fingerscrossed: for April results.
Oh wow Loren - its got the be a BFP if you've had a line 2 days running.

LJHarmony - How are you and how is you DS. Have a great weekend and I hope the easter bunny brings lots of goodies.
Lorren - Congrats on the BFP, that is excellent news. Well done and :fingerscrossed: that bub is making itself at home
ziggyzena - The month is not over yet, so plenty of time to get another cycle in :) All the best at your gyno's on the 18th, I hope they can give you some answers. Take care.
meltux - Wow 10 days off work, put a don't not disturb sign on the door and I wish you all the very best :fingerscrossed:
Lilith - I am sorry to hear you have been having headaches, I have never been on clomid before, when I was doing my IUI/AIH cycles I was on injections, (puregon), I did ask about clomid once, but my fs said she didn't like it as it makes your mucus very sticky, but I have heard so many good stories about people getting there BFP from it, I have a girlfriend who took it and now she has a beautiful 1 year old boy, so I don't know what my fs is talking about. I wish you all the very best and talk care.
OMG, we have so many lovely ladies in this thread it is wonderful to see. Welcome to the newbies I have missed, I hope your time here is short and I am sending you lots of positive baby vibes and dust.
To all those I have missed I am sorry, I check in everyday almost and read how all are doing, but I always run out of time to post and say hi. I get up at 6.00am each morning and the first thing I do is try and have a read and then I go for a walk and then get ready for work, so on the weekends I make more time to sit at the computer and catch up.
As for me, not a lot is happening, today is CD21/6DPO of this natural cycle and all is going well. Don't think it will be a natural BFP for us this month, didn't cover enough possible days before O, but hey that is OK, I did say that there will be no pressue and it has been good. DH is now 3 weeks off the smokes, so I am so very proud of him and he still is taking all his multis each morning, whinging all the time about them, but he is doing it and last night he said that he is off the drink, not that he drinks alot, but he wants his little swimmers to be the best they can be, I am so very proud, but I feel I need to be doing something too to help my little eggies, but all I am doing is taking Fabfol, it is like Elevit but Fabfol has iodine in it. I don't drink or smoke, no coffee or anything like that, so I don't know what else I should be doing, DH seems to be doing it all.
DH is having a DNA fregmentation test at the end of May as he has to have 55 days of good health before he can do the test, so with the giving up smoking he has been a little unwell so end of may is the test and then depending on what the results say, that will be the decider if I have another lap as the last one I did was in 2002, but we will see, but for now just relaxing and no pressure and trying not to think about it but at times that is easier said then done.
Anyway I would like to wish all a happy and safe easter and I hope you have a wonderful, enjoyable, relaxing long weekend.
Phew.... thanks goodness for the long weekend! Such a busy day yesterday, i ended up working back till 9pm. Its all cold and rainy here today so just staying in and relaxing and enjoying a few hot cross buns. yuuuummmmm  Good time to catch up you all.
Lillith: yay for last clomid tablet!! Has your headache gone? Not long to go for your scan.. hopfully IUI is just a few days away! My nasal spray is a bit yucko. No real side effects yet so am v. happy about that. It tastes pretty bad - something like fish juice mixed with sulphuric acid... Geck!
Ziggy: sorry again about AF, but great that maybe you can fit another test in. Let me know when and if you want me to put you on the calendar for end of the month.
LJ: yes, any BT results? Seems like they are a bit slow .... surely they should be able to get them to you that day. Pointless TTCing unless you have quick results. You should complain about it. My FS always has BT results same day or next. LJ: i so hope you havent missed the egg ... will change your testing day to 16th.
Meltux: No worries about questions... I don't think the nose spray is progesteron. Its called Synarel. Here's what the blub says:
Synarel contains nafarelin acetate.Synarel belongs to a group ofmedicines called pituitary hormone analogues which work by decreasing the secretion of sex hormones. Synarel belongs to aclass of drugs known as synthetic gonadotrophin-releasing hormones.
now... just what means i cant tell you!! I think helen said it mimics menopause or something.
Bobby: hopefully your IUI will work and you wont need to graduate to IVF. Hoping AF stays away..... xxxx Yes, sniffing and injecting... does sound abit like that....
OMG Loren!!!! Yes, yes, let me put you down as our first April BFP. Sounds so hopeful. Did you test agin this morning????? Yay!!!!!! As the other girls said, two lines, however faint, two days running just has to be a BFP :smiliedance:
Hi macca: So hoping this natural TTC month will work for you. its not over till its over, as they say. And whatever happends it just has to have been good for your health - physical and mental - to have such a low key approach, combined with eating well etc. Your DH is doing so well... giving up smoking and taking his vitamins etc. Its so good and means he's really supporting the process. My DH has finally started taking his zinc, omega3 and multis.. he was resistant at first but now we are doing IVF he's finally doing it without me asking.
Helen: hope you are doing well. Where are you up to? When is your scan?
Hi to al the other ladies... have a lovely, relaxing break and enjoy your easter eggies!!!
Good Morning Ladies. Sorry it has been a while - has been a frantic week with starting my new job and also staying with friends whilst our floors are sanded/polished. Looking forward to moving home again this afternoon and getting some normality back into our lives. I am still on the injections, although just a very low dose atm. I had a scan Tuesday morning and the FS is pleased witih how things are progressing. Am CD13 today and am having another scan in the morning. He didn't say anything about when I am likely to O so will just keep up the BD I guess until he says I've O'd.

Hi  Ladies,
A big congrats to Loren:smiliedance:Thats fantastic news, you must be over the moon.
To those of you still waiting patiently, I'll have my :fingerscrossed: for you for some great news.
Well, its a BFN for me. I havent posted for a while because I just felt too :gloomy:. AF turned up on Wednesday, so I needed some time to get over it. I am about to start cycle 5 on clomid at 75mg (1st day is Sunday). I also see the FS at the end of April, so I am looking forward to that so that I can talk to him about the next steps, I'm ready to move on as I think 5 cycles of Clomid is a pretty clear indicator that its not working.
Enough of my whinging. I hope everyone has a great Easter and the Easter Bunny brings you lots of choccie eggs.
Hi Campbellsmum, so sorry AF arrived and that you are feeling sad ((hugs))). Well I hope you get your BFP with the cylcle, I'll send you heaps of baby dust. MMmmmm chocolate bunnies..... I have a confession, I ate one yesterday hehehehe.

doing something too to help my little eggies, but all I am doing is taking Fabfol, it is like Elevit but Fabfol has iodine in it.
Hi Macca!! Happy Easter to you and your hubby, I hope that the long weekend will be a nice relaxing time for you both.
I'm going to be taking Fabfol when I'm preggers, as I'm allegic to Elevit. It is a wondeful combination of vit's and a friend said that it can help 'even out' mood swings too!!
Congrats to you hubby...I know how hard it is to give up smoking, it took me three goes to get it right. He is doing fantastic, well done. I hope that the testing goes well, it such a hard time full of anxiety, but I hope through this that you'll be rewarded and then work towards creating a lil'miracle of your own....you both deserve it so much for just persistence alone ((hugs)) thinking of you xxx
LJ: yes, any BT results? Seems like they are a bit slow .... surely they should be able to get them to you that day. Pointless TTCing unless you have quick results. You should complain about it. My FS always has BT results same day or next. LJ: i so hope you havent missed the egg ... will change your testing day to 16th.
 thanks, for clucking like a Mum!! But really tis cool, I don't have to have the bt until Wednesday when I'm CD25...then see him again after the results come in to find out what the go is for the next cycle.
I hope that you and your hubby are enjoying the long weekend, not many more till the end of the year and they are like gold aren't they!! I hope the easter bunny is sweet to you & thanks for moving the testing date ((fingerscrossed)) I have something to test for this month!!
Hi Everyone....
DH and I have already been up and about enjoying our day off! We went four wheel driving and ended up covered in mud, bogged and having an absolute blast!!!! Something which we sooo needed...laughter and time together having fun!
Lucky you!! Looove going 4WD'ing, it's the next best thing to going for a blast on the back of DP's bike!! Enjoy your weekend xx
Well gals its all over for me...af arrived this arvo....so thats a big fat :bfn: for me...she came a week early so all my symptoms and spotting weren't implantation but ugly old af  . Also had a temp drop four days ago so I really should not be too suprised.
Oh hun big (((((HUGS))))) I'm sorry that the evil witch has showed up again this month.
Well, its a BFN for me. I havent posted for a while because I just felt too :gloomy:. AF turned up on Wednesday, so I needed some time to get over it. I'm so sorry that AF showed up at your house too...damn her. I hope that your FS can perscribe some alternatives that will help you move forward on your way to babyland, keep looking straight ahead and don't let your eyes waver on the track, even if there is a bend in the road doesn't have to be the end of the road............ unless you fail to make the turn!! xxx
:smiliedance: Happy Easter Everyone:smiliedance:
Just a quick one this morning - hope we all had yummy choccie eggs for breakfast :D and are having a lovely easter break
Julie - how'd your 2nd scan go? hope those follies are growing nicely
MM - I see FF changed your O date, gotta hate that when it happens but stills looks like your in for a good chance
LJ - you're sounding heaps better in the last few days, hope your kitty kats are cheering you up, you're right - I have had ovarian discomfort when usually I have none
Kristi H & Campbellsmum - so sorry the witch arrived for you, hope next month has a happy outcome for you both
Lorren - :smiliedance: congrats on the BFP - yeah
One sleep til my scan, I'm getting worried about silly things. I'm worrying with the ovary pain that I've already o'd even though my temps don't say that and also I know she won't be able to find my right ovary on the u/s (she never can) and we won't know how many mature follies there will be. Anyways, doesn't really matter as I WILL get my BFP this month - positive thought, positive thoughts
Have a great day all
Hi girls - HAPPY EASTER. and my smilies now work:smiliedance:.
Hope all you lovely ladies are having great weekend.
Sorry Kristy H that you got a BFN.
Lilith - dont worry too much about the ovary pains, I have always got these a few days before scan and eggs are always still there.
Julie - how did your scan go? You are a busy girl ATM arent you!
LJ - you do sound a lot more cheery which is great to see.
Good luck to everyone testing soon - Baby dust to everyone.
Well AF is due to arrive today, I know I said Saturday but I forgot AF came Sunday last month. And cos the day changes I'm not testing until after work tommorrow. I dont think we BD on the right days so I'm trying not to think about it. Still going to the toilet checking undies every 5mins and praying I dont see red but that would be miracle LOL.
DH & I had a great surprise when we check our block of land to see its been scraped.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/Party1_photos/8-4-07Lot89Freya-Scraped.jpg
so I have to be happy about that.- An old freind of mine keeps chanting to me "new house new baby" which kinda sounds great, she says its an old saying which I havent heard before but she is 70 odd - she's so sweet and bought me an elephant with an upturned trunk for luck. So I made up a scrapbook page (http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/Party1_photos/swinburnes8-1-05.jpg) of her grandkids (my neices & nepews)
Also saw the movie Wildhogs today -, pretty funny.
Bye for now.

Hi Kali,
Can I please be added to the testing list? I will be tested on the 16th April, first cycle of IVF. the waiting is impossible, either I look for signs saying I'm positive or i'm looking for signs saying it will be negative.
anyway good luck to everyone.
Cheers,
Tam
Hi Tam - Good luck with your IVF cylce - you will be okay - think positive only. I find keeping busy helps. I did the ironing today which I NEVER do.
Know what you mean about checking signs.
And it just occured to me that there is no work tomorrow :smiliedance:.
Hi girls
So sorry AF showed campbellsmum and kirstiH. I know how devastated you must both be feeling. Sending you lots of :hugs: and babydust for next cycle :wizard: Good luck to you both with your clomid cycles. you never know..... and your FS appt end of April isn't too far away Campbellsmum..
Lilith!! One more sleep!!! Sending you lots of follie vibes! You will get your BFP, you will get your BFP, you will get your BFP....
Welcome mummytam. Thinking of you during your TWW. Good luck.... i will be following your progress closely. Both Helen and I are jsut a couple of weeks behind you - also on our first IVF cycle. Fingers and toes crossed for you. I'll put you on the calendar.
Bobby: yay for block of land... i know how exciting it must be. We are just building an extension at the moment so hoping your elderly friend is right! We will move back in probably just about when we will be doing our PG test after first IVF. And yay that your smilies now work!! Bobby.... this is so exciting... AF has stayed away for you!! oh I hope this is it for you :fingerscrossed:
hope all you other ladies are having a relaxing easter weekend. Yay for easter!!!
No news here... day six of my nose spray. will start injectsion next Friday. No real symptoms yet, just sore BBs, a bit dizzy, but nothing else. touch wood!
Oh yes..... Anyone hear from Loren???
And Marcelsmum?
Good Morning Ladies
Kali - the renovations sound very exciting!!
Bobby - yay for the block of land!! Building a house is very exciting. Love the scrapbook page. I hope your friend's theory is right!! When are you testing?
Mummytan - Welcome!! And fingers crossed for you for the 16th. The ladies on this thread are lovely!!
Lilith - thinking of you this morning. I'm sure it will all be good news. I was worried that I would O before seeiing my FS on Saturday but no - he'd timed the u/s perfectly.
Kristi & Campbellsmum - am so so sorry AF arrived. I hope you both get a BFP next month!!!
LJ - I hope you're having a nice relaxing Easter.
Well I had my u/s on Saturday and there was a nice big follie there so the FS said yesterday would be the day!! He gave me a needle to inject myself with yesterday morning to bring on O I think. So we've been rabbits this weekend - lol!! Temp still low this morning though so will keep on bd'ing for a couple more days just in case. bbs are a bit sore - probably just from O'ing I guess. This will be the first time I've ever had a four week cycle. Yippeeeee. He said he was very pleased with my progress which is great news. AND today is our second wedding anniversary. Wouldn't it be nice to get a BFP two weeks after our second wedding anniversary.
Hope you are all having a nice restful Easter.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JULIE.
Julie, hope you catch the egg. Timing is right for an anniversary - will it be a romantic candlelit dinner tonight? It would be great that you get a BFP in two weeks time:fingerscrossed:.
I was going to test today but am thinking that because I was 4 days early last month it will go back to Wednesday this month as this had happened before. And I only have one POAS so I am a bit scared to get a BFN on it then I'd be more frustrated. :banghead: . I started doing temps half way through this month when starting this tonic as they use this data when dispensing the next one when needed, Fertility Freind says I should do test on 14th:eek:, which I am going to ignore. Plus the fact that sometimes I get up at 4.00 and take my temp then and other days take it at 5.00, does this matter? Temp has been up and down for last few days. This is when my patience runs out with days like today. Sorry to sound like a worry wart, I hate doing a big vent then AF comes a few hours later.

My name may not mean a lot to most in here as I disappeared for seven months to lick my wounds. TTC is a very difficult thing to continue to do when each month brings disappointment so strong that you just want to pull the covers over your head.
I found this forum today after I had posted in another last night but think I may have done it in the wrong area..I actually recognise some names in here.
Anyways..here is the reason I am posting now...
I tested yesterday (Sunday 8th) and got a :bfp:!!! I was in total and utter shock as I thought my chances were well and truly gone forever and was almost to acceptance.
From September to December I took a herbal remedy for fertility called false unicorn. A naturopath here in Canberra made it up for me. Well nothing happened in that time so I gave up. I took to study this year to take my mind off things (yeah right, like you CAN take your mind off it each month...lol). I don't know if the false unicorn had anything to do with it but who knows *shrugs*.
I am scared. Hubby and I won't go public to our friends or most of the family until after the 3mth scan as we are so frightened of miscarriage. Somewhere deep inside I actually feel this one will be fine, but I can't afford to be cocky either. The baby is due on the 15th December (the baby I lost last year had a December due date too). I pray we actually get our Christmas baby this year.
Hugs to all and arm loads of baby dust all round.
Hi Amy - CONGRATULATIONS ON A BFP :smiliedance:- thats wonderful to hear. Will send heaps of sticky vibes and pray your christmas baby stays safe. Hope you have a great pregnancy, wish to join you soon. You have given me hope and agree with you about the disappointment.

I remember your story and it really touched me, what you had gone through etc....and now you've got your BFP!! You deserve every happiness and it truly is a story of inspiration :hugs:

Hi to all,
Happy easter.... I have just finished reading the posts i missed whilst
being away.....
Ljharmony:Just to answer your questions which was posted few days ago - i have been trying since Nov/Dec 2005.. I read your story and my fingers are crossed super hard for you - it's been a long journey.. We are testing on the same day so heres to a :bfp:
anythingmychild and Loren - congrats congrats congrats
Lilith: just to catch you up- my Fs rang to see if i wanted to go in a trial for ivf after this cycle.. i have to wait 8 weeks so all the IUI drugs are out of system. Then i get 3 stimulated cycles (where they take the embroyos) and 3 thaws embroyos per cycle for free. They are trialling a drug that lasts for 7 days instead of injections everyday. I will be in the 3rd intake - and it has been as successful as other drugs so far.
So IVF beginning June 16th if no :bfp: before then !!!!
Hope all you chicks are well and full of choccy easter bunnies. xxx
Congratulations anyhtingmychild!!!!!! awesome:bfp: yay yay yay yay!!!!
Congratulations Amy. I too remember your story. So delighted for you!!!!! Have a beautiful, smooth and uneventful 9 months. I know you weren't on our testing calendar, but can I put you down as a BFP?? I looove to put BFPs on our calendar :smiliedance:
Julie: yay for follies and the big O :yelclap: Hope you haven't worn your DH out ;) Ohhhh that would be brilliant to have conceived on yoru wedding anniversary. May the 2WW go quickly !!!
Lilith: How did your scan go today???
LJ: how're you doing? He, he, he.... you're funny. I did sound like my mum getting all indignant on your behalf! Hope I didn't sound too pushy :o
Bobby: oooo so exciting. I hope this is it for you. How fantastic would that be! Praying AF stays away for you.
Atlast: you are so lucky! Wow, I wish that drug was on the market already... it would mean i'd get to skip my injections! That's fantastic though.... you're effectively getting six free cycles of IVF.... you are seriously saving thousands!
Well, nothing to report here. This IVF thing is sooo slow. Seriously.... and I won't even get to test in April. Thinking I'll end up testing about mid-May. Jealous of you girls..... Four sleeps till I start my injections.
Chocolate update: I am officially OVER easter eggs. Have overdosed on chocolate!
:yelclap: Congratulations Amy:yelclap:
I remember you as well - that is great news and hope your little bean is extra, extra sticky for you
atlast - I soooo hope you get a BFP this month and don't have to go through the trial but it is a fantastic opportunity if it is required, like Kali said, you'll save thousands
bobby - no AF? FANTASTIC - :fingerscrossed: this month is it for you, by the way - I pay for the extra features on FF and the one I use the most is the temperature corrector, especially on weekends or if I wake up extra early. It's not ideal but gives a guide of what the temp would have been at the usual time - hopefully you have access to that or I can use it for you anytime you want. How exciting about your land!! Do you mind if I ask what suburb it's in?
Julie - yeah for scans and follicles and the rabbit club, hope you caught it and don't let go of it
tam - welcome along, hope you enjoy everyone's company
kali - why is the ivf procedure so long? Is it so you'll grow heaps and heaps of follicles or do the drugs just delay things? I hope time goes quickly for you
Well, had my scan this morning, doc was late as she had to deliver three babies last night/this morning. I had a follicle in each ovary (20mm and 13.5mm) and so had to drive half hour to the only open QML in brissy for a btest. Got the results back tonight and still hadn't had my surge but it was close so have to go to Monash at 7.30 am and see whether or not to have another btest or just do the IUI tomorrow?? Glad I'm on hols and am flexible but DH is not so he has to work around it.
Yay Lilith!! Just one or two more sleeps till your IUI.... then the TWW will flyyyy by! Great that the follies are there! Oh yes, good that you are on hols too.
I think its normal for the IVF cycle to take this long.
I had to wait till day 22 to start the nose spray. Aparently it 'down regulates' your hormones so that you dont ovulate on your own. From the time you start the nose spray its 5 weeks till the end of the cycle (PG test). So i'm only just missing out on testing this mnonth. it just feeels like ages cause I'm very impatient!

:: sorry but this has to be a quickie, heading off to bed can't keep eyes open any longer after a movie sucked me in and the autopilot guy has given up damn him ::
Just wanted to wish Helen well for tomorrows scan, hope your not too nervous. I'm hoping there are some nice follies developng there and your FS/IVF dude is really pleased with your progress, when you float out of the office...check where the door is, is embarassing to head-butt it on the way out!!
Lilith...WoW no wonder you've had more discomfort this time round, You've being a busy girl :yelclap: Well done, hope that all goes well for the right decision.
Everyone Else, thinking of you and will catch up tomorrow.
Helen - I hope your scan goes well tomorrow!!
Bobby - yes we had a lovelly dinner out. DH chose a restaurant which we had enjoyed a few years back together - although he had no idea the prices had gone up so much!! We decided to just ignore the prices in the end though and just enjoy! It was lovely. DH got an awesome new job last week so it's a week for celebration here. Let's hope there's more to celebrate in another two weeks. When are you going to test?
Amy - yes I definitely remember you hon! Congratulations to you!! :smiliedance:
Morning all, work day today.
Helen - hope the scan goes well and you have heaps of follies there.
Lilith - Good luck for your IUI today :wizard:.
Julie - Glad you had a nice night out.
Well I tested after visitors went home last night and BFN. So just waiting for AF to arrive, will be today or wednesday I bet. I refuse to get my hopes up this month as I feel worse after AF arrives when I do.
Sorry I cant do more personals - have to hit the shower for work.
Ciao
hi everyone,
Lilith- good luck with IUI... Thats good news bout folicles.. Fs said to me a follicle on each side brings a greater success rate and especially if one is at the right size (18mm - 20mm):fingerscrossed:
Helen - good luck with scan - hope it brings great news
bobby - for BFN.. Bloody Af.. i am the same every time i get my hopes up, its a bigger disappointment. But how can we not get our hopes up.... :hugs:
Kali- hope all is going well... Have you started injections? Good luck!
Well i have had this niggiling pain in my lower abdomen... Like an ache not a cramp... Could be Af coming along i think. But it has been causing me a little bit of pain.. As long as its nothing bad i don't mind!!
Hugs to you all. Atlast

Hi Girls, I have been really slack lately and not posting much at all..
First of All
AMY CONGRATULATIONS... It is good to see your name again, I couldn't be happier for you.
LOREN CONGRATULATIONS
Everyone else It is so hard keeping up with you all, so I wish everyone luck whereever you are,
Well FF changed my O date, so according to it I am now 12 DPO, I have a 13 day luteal phase so we will see if AF arrives tommorow.... I still have not tested I don't want to be dissapointed.... BUT CHECK OUT MY TEMP RISE....... I have never been this high before (except once when I had the FLU) I am feeling very excited... but I will reserve my right to dance on the tables for a few days yet..... We will see what happens tommorow!!!!!!
Hi all,
ho hum. Back at work today, running around like a mad woman chasing deadlines again. Have a nice relaxing lunch break now. Just wished i'd brought one of those easter eggs to work (the ones I swore I would throw out last night cause i was sooo over chocolate! :D )
ooohhhhh exciting day!!!!
Helen: Scan..... how did it go??? Cant wait to hear your news. Hoping your follies are looking healthy.
 LJ. Do I remember correctly... you are 9 or 10DPO today? How are you feeling?
Lilith: any news yet? IUI today?
Julie: aaww.... your DH sounds lovely. Thats a great thing to do - just ignore the cost of the dinner and enjoy. My DH and I always eat at cheapie places (which is OK cause its yummy food too) but last anniversary he took me to a really expensive place... one entree cost as much as what we normally pay for a whole meal for the two of us!! But it was yummo... and it made the anniversay really special.
Wow, this sounds like such a positive time for the both of you. This just has to be your month..... you must have some good karma coming your way.
Bobby: :hugs: :hugs: for your BFN. So sorry mate. I hope AF stays away, but at the same time, i totally understand your need to keep your hopes in check to lessen the disappontment if it happens.
Thinking of you.....
At last: I hope AF stays away and that the little niggle is a wee baby bean burrowing in.
Marcelsmum: ooo its so exciting!! Your temps to look amazing!! I can't believe you haven't caved and tested! Fingers and toes and everything crossed for you.....

:yelclap: Congratulations to those who have received there BFP this month. Take care and all the best with you pregnancy.
:hugs: Those who received a BFN, I am sorry and I am sure our BFP in just around the corner, Stay strong and positive and remember dream do come true, just sometimes they take longer then others.
:fingerscrossed: To those who are in there 2ww, I am sending you lots of sticky, positive vibes and I wish you all the very best.
As for me, still in the 2ww so we will see what happens. Brought a puppy on Saturday, a 7 weeks old maltese x silky, he so very cute but kept me awake most of the night last, sooking, I think this is what it will be like till he settles in. Now we have two fur babies, a 15 months old female maltese and now the male pup. Keeps me on my toes and busy. I think they are getting me ready for when we do finally get our miracle.
Hope you all had a great easter, I was good, didn't eat any chocolate, but ate plenty of food
Hi girls - hope we're all having a nice day, I'm loving the weather at the moment - doing lots of outdoors eating
Kali - Sorry, didn't realize you started the whole IVF procedure on CD22 :p I get it now, can't wait til egg retrieval time - hoping it's a big catch for you
Helen - any news on the scan?? Hope it all went well
bobby - so sorry about the BFN :hugs: I understand about the not wanting hopes to get high, you keep yours "normal" and I'll raise mine for you
atlast - I really hope you're experiencing really great implantation pains, thinking of you and putting a jinx on AF so she won't show
MM- how great does your chart look!!!! So jealous and can't wait to look tomorrow
macca - congrats on the new furbaby!! What's the name? I'm definitely sure the lack of sleep and nurturing genes are preparing you for the human kind of baby
Well, no IUI for me today or tomorrow. Monash blood test this morning has my LH at 4 while QML had it at 8 yesterday  . The labs won't speak to each other so don't have an answer as to why. My FS is going with Monash though (being specialists in AI/IVF procedures) and so have to have another blood test tomorrow. Apparently LH has to be around 16 or higher to predict ovulation. That gives the follies a bit more chance to grow. My estrogen is thru the roof (1930 yesterday and 1885 today). That must be why I've been moody and teary lately (poor DH :D ).

Hi Girls, sorry I did not post earlier, had a bit of work to catch up on...
Well my scan was very fun today not:eek: as per normal things do not go as planned for me...
My FS could not find my ovaries...(they are very high up sometimes) so I had to drink heaps of water and to to radiology and had a ultrasound and an other internal...well they finally found my ovariers and I have around 6, 7 follies...2 good size ones at 12mm and the rest are still a bit small so they have upped my dose to 350.
I will be going back in on Friday morning for another scan, :fingerscrossed: all is good....
Well i could not wait - i'm 14dpo cd 24 and i sooo should not have tested but i did - got bfn... but still hanging on to the fact that i really should not test till Friday....
Helen - gosh, what a day! Well :fingerscrossed: that does will get the other follies up and going.. Will be hoping and hoping that Friday is really good news.
Lilith - you poor thing.. When will you hear when your IUI will be ? Do they call you?
Macca - right back at ya - sending sticky vibes to you too..... 2ww'ing is hard.. I'm trying to keep busy but failed today :gloomy:
Marcelsmum - things are looking good.. Well done for holding off. fingers crossed for no af..
Kali - what are you up to now - spray/injections?? Whens your egg retrieval - sorry if i have asked this before..

Hi Ladies, I cant sleep. No news from me.
Helen - you have had a big day haven't you! Looks like you have quite a few follies growing, hope everything continues to go smoothly for you.
Kali - How are you? Will be thinking of you on your IVF journey too.
Atlast - hope that niggling pain is implantation.
Marcelsmum - Hope AF stays away and you get a BFP:fingerscrossed:.
Ziggyzena - good luck with your new strategy - pretty sure every second - third day is good - good luck and dont forget to have fun trying.
Lilith - Sorry your IUI didnt happen today - You must be feeling a bit anxious about who is right. We have to put so much faith in our FS. Will your FS do another scan to check up on your follies again?
I'm staying "normal" (as one can up at 1.30 in the morning LOL) Oh and you asked where I was building -this is my patch of paradise (http://www.islesofnewport.com.au/waterfront-property/masterplan.html).
Macca - How are you? Your puppy sounds so cute. What did you call him?
Good luck to everyone due to test at the end of the week :wizard:.
Well I must try and go back to sleep, still have to work tomorrow.
good morning everyone!
Bobby - hope you have had a sleep in!
Ziggyzena - We TRY to stick to the "BDing every 2nd day" theory and this month is odd numbers so yay for today. Have fun!!!!!
Lilith - good luck with your IUI and :fingerscrossed: for lots of lovely follies....how many IUI's have you been through??? Do they get easier?
Marcelsmum - I love your chart and I really think everything looks very promising!!! YAY YAY
Macca - I sooooo want a new puppy too! We have thought about it but we also have 2 other dogs, Jesse and Cinder so apart from rego on 3 dogs being huge, my cat ASTI rules the verandah and would have too much fun tormenting a new puppy. You never know though....a new puppy would be great. I can just stick to watching my fish have loads of babies and loving the babies i have already!
Helen - lots of good follies...what now????
Atlast - maybe it is too early and maybe have a lovely surprise soon!!!!
Kali - work sounds crazy and hope you enjoyed your few days off!!! What next for you????
Anyway everyone, I have holidays for the rest of the week but have the flu sooooo not too much fun! DH has hurt his back and soooooo we are TRYING to be in the spirit for BDing as it is fertile times here soon...damn flu and sore back. Why oh why is it always like a battle to get anywhere????I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about?
have a great day all and can't wait to hear some good news and exciting info soon!!!:fingerscrossed:

So I should be due around December 21,, (I will probably go late DS was late, I only hope it is not 4 day, 10 days or 11 days late. I want my bub to have a doy of its own not share it with every one else in the world)

Well i have had this niggiling pain in my lower abdomen... Like an ache not a cramp... Could be Af coming along i think. But it has been causing me a little bit of pain.. As long as its nothing bad i don't mind!!
Hugs to you all. Atlast
Oh atlast, it could be a sign of implantation...maybe? I hope so and hope that AF doesn't show up for you.
GRRRR don't you just hate the way that FF take it upon themselves to just move your ovulation day....I found it so frustrating, that I cancelled my account with them. I hope that through all the inconvenence that you get your BFP!!
:
As for me, still in the 2ww so we will see what happens. Brought a puppy on Saturday, a 7 weeks old maltese x silky, he so very cute but kept me awake most of the night last, sooking, I think this is what it will be like till he settles in. Now we have two fur babies, a 15 months old female maltese and now the male pup. Keeps me on my toes and busy. I think they are getting me ready for when we do finally get our miracle.
AWWW how cute a little fur baby!! We've just aquired a couple ourselves, it certainly brings out your cluckiness doesn't it. And just like real babies get a little unsettled when you first bring them home....well my DS did and you diffenately see that you have your "L" plates on!! Good Luck with your natural cycle
Well, no IUI for me today or tomorrow. Monash blood test this morning has my LH at 4 while QML had it at 8 yesterday (confused) . That must be why I've been moody and teary lately (poor DH ).
WoW your estrogen levels are great hun....your cookin a big juicy follicle or two there, you must be so relieved. It's wonderful seeing and knowing it's all working isn't it  Let your FS worry about the finer details, that's what you pay him for k....just enjoy the fact that very soon one of those juicy ripe follies is going to bring you a bubba
Well my scan was very fun today not as per normal things do not go as planned for me...
I will be going back in on Friday morning for another scan, fingerscrossed all is good....
((hugs)) AWW Helen lots of hugs ((hugs)) I hope that Fridays scan goes better for you and it will be worth it though keep positive and focused on what's in front of you (not behind) thinking of you xx
Well i could not wait - i'm 14dpo cd 24 and i sooo should not have tested but i did - got bfn... but still hanging on to the fact that i really should not test till Friday....
It still could be a BFP...I've seen lots of charts where there's being BFN's before a BFP still have ((fingerscrossed)) for you
Hi all thanks all for the kinds words, just finished af so we have decided to bd every second day this cycle and see how that goes, never bd that much before in one cycle :fingerscrossed: Do you think dh will run out or swimmers if we bd that m uch. the reason for doing this is i don't know when i am or if i am ovuating at all oh wel no harm in trying.
Hi ziggyzena good luck with your new cycle....as for spermies, if your worried about it, DTD every second day!!
Hi everyone...
I'm having my BT today, to test for progesterone levels and I won't be getting the results until into my next cycle (if I have one). I'm going to see if i change dates around if AF comes ??? dunno just trying to work it all out. My FS is wanting to discuss 'where-to-from-here' at our next appointment. He is one FS that doesn't always deem a cycle a success just because you ovulate  he wants me to be pregnant and is sincerely disappointed every month when he see's me == thought I'd add, not because he doesn't like me lol, because that last cycle didn't work.....he is professional in every way and takes it personal or a personal reflection when my cycles fail.
I hope that everyone is having a great day....mid week dreaming of the weekend!! I'm hoping to get all the jobs done so we might be able to have a barbie on the weekend, if the weather holds out.

Hi girls,
Thanks for all the congrats! It's been really lovely.
So far so good - AF didn't arrive and I had a dark line yesterday on a test so I am beginning to cautiously accept that I am pregnant. I only hope it can hang in there!

Atlast - any news?????
LJ - love your posts...so colourful and caring!!! And have you decided "where to from here"????
Woohooo Congratulations :bfp: Marcelsmum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh fantastic news indeed!! So happy for you. I just new this was it for you... those temps were so on an upward trajectory it couldn't be anything other than a BFP. Have a fabulous 9 months. Hope your wee one comes on time and not on Christmas day.
Oh this is soo good. I will put you down on calendar now. I love putting BFPs on our calendar!!!
:smiliedance: :smiliedance: :smiliedance:
Hi Macca: oh I love puppies. lucky you! Hope the TWW flies by
Lilith: Frustrating for you I know, but it certainly looks like you're on the right track and that that big follie will produce an egg soon.
Helen: Oh you poor old egg. what a wait... Still the news is not bad. You have six or seven follies, two of which are on the way. This is good!!! Esp given your trouble even O'ing in the past on clomid. Hope the 350 dose agrees with you. Friday is not too far away. :hugs:
At last... sorry about your BFN love. Its not over though. Hope AF stays away.
Ziggy: Good luck with your BD plan. HOpe you won't be too exhausted! I'll change your testing date.
Meltux: Sorry about your flu. Hope it eases up today so you can enjoy your BDing. Must be so frustrating.
LJ: When is your next appointment with FS? I think a 'where to next' talk is important. Sounds like you have a really lovely, caring FS there. (i still reckon they should get the BT results to you quicker tho!)
Loren: oh yay for second BFP!! This is it for you. I marked you down as a BFP after the first test. Congratulations again!!! :smiliedance:
Well, two more sleeps till I start my injections. AF came today right on time, which apparently is good, as they won't let you start injections till AF has arrived. Yay!! First time I've been happy that AF arrived!!

Hi all,
I haven't been on for several days...but thought I'd report in goings on in our house.
Yesterday had m GIFT procedure (for those that don' know, similar to IVF except spermies and egg are put directly back into my tubes...so fertilization takes place internal to the body rather than outside...supposed to have similar if not better outcomes than IVF...depends on who to talk to).
It all went extremely well. 3 a grade eggs have gone back in. (collected total of 14 eggs though...not a mean feat for an ole boiler like me). I have to admit I dont have any problems with egg quality or quantity...but still to date just been out of luck or whatever the magic ingredient TTC #2.
Now on progesterone gel to support the uterus etc etc. Preg test 30/04...but I'll probably test earlier.
Kali and Helen...good luck with the injects, nasal spray, scans, blood test etc etc. there so much to get your head around isn't there??
HUGE congrats to the :bfp: ...hoping for a fantastic 9 months ahead.
:hugs: to the :bfn: ....you just have to keep trying and trying and trying....as I am.
cheers LG
:yelclap: Congratulations MM:yelclap:
It is sooo great to log on and see a BFP. No surprise though with that fantastic chart of yours. Hope this one is extra, extra sticky and you have a beautiful chrissy bub.
Helen - I have the same problem with my FS in that she often can't find my left ovary, it's great news about the follies but lets hope upping the dose will produce a few more for you
at last - :shame: no testing until Friday OK! :D I was a POAS addict but got so down by all my BFNs that I haven't tested for over six months - I always wait for AF not to arrive and she always does
bobby - no AF still!!! Fantastic - by the way, Redcliffe is a great place to live (I grew up in Caboolture - when it used to be a nice town), hope the house gets built quickly and you'll be nice and settled for bub
meltux - so sorry you have the flu at such an inappropriate time, good luck egg catching though
LJ - your FS sounds great (except I agree with Kali - why can't you get blood results over the phone?). Hope you all work out a great plan of attack
adams mum - hope this GIFT cycle brings a nice little gift back
Kali - Yeah for AF!!! Hopefully the last one for nine months. Good luck with the injections - be brave
Well, I still haven't had my surge - what the?? It's only CD 14 today though and my "average" o day is CD16 and I have o'd as late as CD19. I have to have another blood test tomorrow and want to ask the FS if I can have another u/s (I mean I pay enough for the monitoring). I want to check the follicles coz I'm thinking if there was a 20mm one on Monday - maybe it wasn't really a follicle but a cyst? My estrogen was over 2000 this morning though so that says I do have more than one follicle - oh the stress of it all (Actually, I'm staying quite calm)
kali - are you nervous about the injections??? how long do you do them and then what?
adamsmum - hope you're feeling good...you deserve a beautiful gift at the end of this!!!:fingerscrossed:
Lilith - hope there are loads of big fat follies ready for thr taking....

LJ: When is your next appointment with FS? I think a 'where to next' talk is important. Sounds like you have a really lovely, caring FS there. (i still reckon they should get the BT results to you quicker tho!)
Well, two more sleeps till I start my injections. AF came today right on time, which apparently is good, as they won't let you start injections till AF has arrived. Yay!! First time I've been happy that AF arrived!!
I wish I could get the results via the phone (I know that some of you have mentioned it, I think living in a rural district has something to do with it. Our tests go to MELB overnight you would think with all that technology that they wouldn't have to go interstate but locally to either Launceston or Hobart at the least ??? it's mad...but I can't change it!!), it sure would help to determine whether or not they are at a level to be pregnant....would save having to get a test
I'm so pleased your cycle is going to plan; thats great...I also hope that you find the injections ok. Hopefully, it will be your last AF for a while!!
CONGRATULATIONS MARCELSMUM!! :smiliedance: :smiliedance:
Wishing you a happy and healthy 8 months ahead!!
LJ - good luck with your bt results hon!! When are you due to test?
Kali - yah for the arrival of AF!! I hope this is her last visit for a very long time! :fingerscrossed:
Lilith - sorry to hear you didn't get your IUI. When is your next u/s scheduled for?
Atlast - lots of cm is always a good sign. Fingers crossed for you!!
Adamsmum - great news!! Fingers crossed for you.
Loren - great news about your second BFP! Wishing you a happy and healthy 8 months.
Bobby - looks like your new home is going to be in an amazing location!! Wow!
Ziggy - bd'ing every second night is a good idea if you're not sure when you're o'ing. Do you monitor your temps aswell? OPKs can be really helpful too.
Speaking of which - I wish I'd used an OPK now to confirm O. I guess I have since my temps have gone up. Would be happier if they were higher though. Will just have to wait and see. Not much to report except today I felt like AF was coming - weird. And a bit :barf: on the train this morning. Will try not to get too excited just yet though.

hi ladies, can i just jump in and say congrats to all those who have their BFP's and good luck next month to those who had BFN's.
im fortunate to read how you all support one another. keep it up. lovely to read about.
ttc is an issue i had also dealt with. so i understand how you ladies are feeling.
cheers all
Morning everyone!!!
Hi Morganj - when do you think you are testing?? How high do your temps go?? My naturopath told me that if they are a bit low at first that means progesterone is slow to rise but not to worry if they start to go a bit higher a couple in. (mine usually did). good luck:fingerscrossed:
Atlast - sounds promising!!!!:fingerscrossed:
Adamsmum - I too love hearing about GIFT as this is probably where we will head EVENTUALLY!!! I do know it's exy and painful (?) and lengthy BUT i'm sure it's all worth it in the end huh?
kali - Are you going ok with the injections?? I would be as nervous as! you are soooo brave:hugs:
LJ - how are you going??? A lot of waiting huh? stay positive!!!
I agree with ATLAST....everyone here is strong and inspiring and seem to be helping me heaps just by being there...I can't stay away!!!
Good morning girls how are you all? Getting cold in the mornings now.
Hello Adamsmum - I hope your TWW goes quickly and it will be a BFP :hugs:.
Kali - great that AF came and things are right on track .
LJ - I cant beleive there's not a lab closer for your BTs. Just the amount of time waiting seems far too long. So if the progesterone level is down I wonder if FS will give you something to boost it up next cycle? Good luck for testing, will that be Monday?
Lilith - Hope that surge comes for you - when is your next BT?
Thanks Maria for popping in to say hello.
Well I'm still waiting - I got more HPT's in mail yesterday and went straight home from Post Office and tried one and it was a BFN. AF has still not arrived, today is CD 33. My BBT has stayed the same and not dropped yet. I will test again tonight if AF doesnt arrive today. Am soooo confused:confused:, just when you think you know your cycle it stuffs around, "Life's like a box of chocolates", which reminds me, I still have Easter Eggs in the fridge :D.
Bye
Bobby - i had a friend who was 5 days late with AF and tested everyday and kept getting BFN's until she went to the Doc and asked for a blood test! Sure enough BFP!!!
:fingerscrossed: and praying this is the case with you!!!
How exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Meltux, but my waiting for an answer is over. The old crud AF arrived brighter than ever. Had a feeling it would happen like this but not this late, certainly does make you think your in with a chance. I dont feel too bad yet but might leave work early today.
Soooooo Sorry Bobby!!!! i know the feeling...the butterflies start and you get excited and then bloody AF shows and ruins the good feeling!!!! I am soo sorry and will be sending good vibes to you ALL DAY!!!!!:hugs: :hugs: :hugs:
I hate AF (and I don't hate anyone or anything else!!!!):banghead:
Bobby - leave work early!!!! Bloody AF :banghead:
Well yep i can feel af just around corner- cramps...... So just waiting for her to rear her ugly head....
Hey just wondering if someone can explain the whole temp thing to me???? As we have decided to begin IVF - around June 16th, which gives us 2 natural cycles before we start! we will be bd'ing like crazy and i thought i would give the temp thing a go!!!!
Morganj :fingerscrossed: isn't it weird we actually get excited when feeling sick!! ohh the joys.. he he

Bobby, :hugs: sorry darl....
Hi girls
Bobby - so sorry about AF :hugs: hope you went home early and ordered an extra lot of cuddles from DH tonight
meltux - how are you going? it's so nice to have such an optimistic and warm person on the thread
atlast - I have to say I really enjoy temping and whenever I try and have a break, I go mental wondering what's going on. You can find all you need to know on www.fertilityfriend.com - and you need to buy a basal body themometre (takes temp. for two decimal places - have seen/heard of girls doing it with a normal themometre but not as accurate)
Julie - those signs are all sounding positive :fingerscrossed:
Maria - thanks for dropping in, I think the other ladies on here are pretty special with their support too
Kali - good luck tomorrow with the injections!! exciting and scary at the same time I would imagine
Helen - hope the u/s tomorrow shows great things
I had my surge today, Yeah!!! So IUI is on for tomorrow morning

Ooh Good Luck Lilith..:fingerscrossed: for a smooth and easy transfer...
Thanks girls - you are all so sweet, Yes I went home early and called in to have a cup of tea with Mum.
atlast - Ive only just started temp so I dont really know. I have tried in the past to temp but always forgot to do in it in the morning, and only just started cos I was told to. I started writing it on a chart but fertility friend is easy to use and shows the chart and is easier to see and heaps of info about it. Now that I have started I am looking at everyone elses and seeing the signs for ovulation and AF and especially for those that are successful - like Marcelsmum:thumbsup:. I only find it hard cos I wake at different times in the morning.
Lilith - Yay - IUI tommorrow :wizard:.
Sending out heaps of Baby dust to everyone :wizard:. Bring on more BFP's for April and Xmas babies.

Thank you for all your lovely messages. I never forgot you were here and often wondered how you were doing. It is a hard road this ttc and I am discovering that even when you get that bfp it isn't all plain sailing. After the m/c last year I am shy of it happening again. I want to be excited about this pgcy but find myself checking each time I wipe; wondering about every twinge. I am not telling my friends and family for another few months until the biggest danger period has come and gone. Hopefully time hurries on and things go smoothly. At my age I feel incredibly blessed to be given this one last opportunity.
Congrats to all the bfp's this month..and commiserations to those the witch visited. I truly know how gut-wrenching that is when you have held your breath for two weeks hoping and praying and beggin and pleading, then the frustration of finding you will be doing it all again next month. Here's hoping the journey is almost at an end for all in the group.
Hugs,
Good Evening Ladies
Well no symtpoms today and my temp wasn't brilliant so am not getting too excited. The only symptom is that I'm feeling tired (what's new).
Lilith - Wishing you a smooth transfer tomorrow morning!! :fingerscrossed:
Helen - all the best for your scan!!!
Bobby - so so sorry AF arrived. I hope it's her last visit for a long while.
Not much else to report here. TGIF tomorrow! :smiliedance:

Hello all,
My DH and I have been trying for a while now to have our first little angel.
We completed our 2nd IVF cycle on the 27th of March and had our eggs removed on the 28th of March and embryos transferred on the 2nd of April. I am scheduled to have my preg blood test on Monday 16th of April. Can hardly wait to get the result.
I am very new to this site and to forums so I am not up to date with all your abbreviations and would love it if someone could give me the full names of some of them.
This thread is amazing you are all inspiring to me and I have found you just when I needed you the most. I look forward to many more conversations and updates.
Take care and good luck to all of you testing this month... I will send out all my best vibes to you all.

Hi girls!!
Im so sorry I wont do personals as there is SO much to catch up on, but I have skimmed thru them and am watching with anticipation for all you ivf girls this month!
Congrats to all the BFPs!!! :smiliedance: and HUGE :hugs: to the BFNs....
Quick update on me: we just spent the last week travelling around Arizona and Vegas and are now in LA for a few days to recuperate, then off to northern CA where I will be for the next 3 weeks. Am glad to be off the road...wasnt very easy with Carter! But, we had a blast, got some great photos and got to catch up with some rellies. On the ttc front, I FINALLY finished af today...after 12 DAYS!!! Not sure what the go is with that, but it was fairly light, with no heavy days, so maybe it was just a wacky one with starting the metformin, etc. We decided not to do clomid this cycle, which is fine. I dont think Ill even temp while here...altho dh and I will be bd'ing for the next 10 days that hes here in hopes I may catch an egg if my body so chooses to release one and come home with a BFP!!! We'll see...
Anyway, will try and get on again soon...I feel so out of the loop. Thinking about you girls...
xxxx
PS: Happy late Easter!!
Good morning all....yes i am up early even though we went out to dinner last night and I am sleepy!
Anyhow......
Atlast - I have been temping for over a year now and it has truely given me insight into my body and the way things work. "o" doesn't always happen on exactly the same day so temping is a great way to know about the time it all is going to happen. Mine is USUALLY day 14-17 depending on stress, flu's etc. The best thing about temping is you figure out your "luteal phase" which is from "o" to AF and this is nearly always the same and so you KNOW when AF is late or early etc etc.....mine is 14 days with AF on 15 (day 1 of new cycle)..spotting doesn't count...
Anyway this is what I do
*Wake up and take temp (try for around the same time each morning and use a basal thermometer)
*Mark on a chart (see fertility friend linked to this site)
*Mark other symptoms, CM, feelings, sensations etc.
*BD every 2nd day
*Wait for temp drop (I usually have a slight dip just BEFORE "O")
*BD lots more
*wait for the rise in temp (this can be sudden OR Slower depending on Progesterone...AND this is AFTER "O")
*BD some more
*keep temping until just before AF (where a temp drop happens or check out Marcelsmums chart she had a rise and rise and rise whic usually indicates pregancy.)
ANYhow i hope all of this helps..sorry for the :ecomcity:
 have missed a whole day on this thread!
just one last thing...all of us are individual and charting for a while will help you figure yourself out!
Lilith - hope your IUI goes well!!!! Will be thinking of you!!!!:hugs:
Bobby - Grab a heat pack, some herbal tea and relax...
morganj - how are things with you....hoping AF stays the hell away!!!!!!
helen - hope the scan showed lots of potential today!!!
HUGE hello to Lene Lou....how exciting for Monday. Will be thinking of you!

LJ - how are you going??? A lot of waiting huh? stay positive!!!
* sigh * I'll try, for today I will try not to have any self-doubt!!
Your morning routine sounds pretty much the same as mine; although, I always check for CM in the afternoon. Reason behind it is that is when you usually do an OPK (if u do them) and in the mornings can get confused with other sticky stuff
LJ - I cant beleive there's not a lab closer for your BTs. Just the amount of time waiting seems far too long. So if the progesterone level is down I wonder if FS will give you something to boost it up next cycle? Good luck for testing, will that be Monday?
It does feel like a long time...I've gone to the GP's for a bt for pregnancy testing and don't get results for another 24 hours+ I don't live in the 'big smoke' anymore and it takes adjusting to beleive me
Bobby - leave work early!!!! Bloody AF
Hey just wondering if someone can explain the whole temp thing to me????
LJharmony - you feeling anything???
:hugs: so, so sorry that AF showed up...find something to take it out on, how are you feeling today? ((hugs))
Re: the temps....what do you want to know? start off by buying a digital BBT thermometer that go up in 10ths of degree's. At you usuall wake up time take your temp (for best results can be orally, vaginally or can do anally) I do vaginal temps, because I have the CPAP machine and it blows cold air into my mouth all night long my oral temps were always very low, and not accurate; so vaginal temps work best.
Then you choose a meduim of recording those temps, either online or your own. It isn't overally difficult at all doing you own charting. Just buy some 5mm graph paper and rule it up, I do mine portrait and it gives me 36 days for the cycle...then below all the inclusions you which to add like...CM, OPK, MEDS, moods, energy level, ovulation pain, AF cramps, alcohol days, headaches etc, etc anything you'd like to record.
I had my surge today, Yeah!!! So IUI is on for tomorrow morning
YaYY...Good Luck for IUI today, what a cool date!! Fri 13th is good luck for anything to do with babies; 2 of my nephews were born on Fri the 13!!
Well no symtpoms today and my temp wasn't brilliant so am not getting too excited. The only symptom is that I'm feeling tired (what's new)
:hugs: I'm so sorry that you think it's not fantastic this time round. Do you have an appointment booked for the end of cycle to discuss plans for the next cycle, and to see if he wants to adjust your dosage?? I feel the same heartbreak Julie.
Hello all,
My DH and I have been trying for a while now to have our first little angel.
Good Luck for your BT on the 16th, I'm supposed to be testing then also, so hopefully it's very luck for both of us!! It's always nice to meet new people, sad that circumstances bring you to this thread but the support here is great and it's just good to know that you aren't alone. I look forward to getting to you more over coming weeks.
(mad) Not sure what the go is with that, but it was fairly light, with no heavy days, so maybe it was just a wacky one with starting the metformin, etc.
Hi plumptobump  Sounds like your having a wonderful holiday a trip of a life time!! Have an absolute blast....and I reckon you will come home with a BFP enjoy
Hi Girls...

Egg Pick Up on Monday:smiliedance:
Had my scan and all is great! I have 5 large follies and my FS thinks there are more due to my ovaries being hard to see......the only thing is because my ovaries are really high up I might have to have a laparosocopy to do egg retreival....
I am soooo excited now:yelclap:
Helen - YAY for all of the follies...you sound happy (also indicated by the jumping icons:smiliedance: ...yay yay! So will they have to do the lap on Mon...or when? Good luck!!! when i had a lap it was pretty good with very little SE...sore shoulders from the anesthetic and a little pain near the cuts.....all in the name of baby making though!! And because we don't have our bits on the outside (like men:laughing: ) Good luck!
kali - Be brave with the injections!!! i would be a little scared but this is what we have to do right? When do they think you will start them? How exciting...this is a major step towards your goal!!!:hugs:
LJ - Stay positive until the last moment and we are all here for you!!!! You have had such a long journey and will be rewarded!!
I too check CM in the afternoon, morning,lunchtime...all day actually and opk's mid morning.

I'm trying to remain positive...but have secretly written it off weeks ago, nothing went well for catching the egg this cycle, it would have to be 1 in a 1 ,000, 000 for a BFP this time round...
there is always next month - bummer -
Hi Girls,
Feeling ok today.... Just looking forward to June to start IVF. Glad i have a break from injections etc (i think)
LJharmony and Meltux and cO - thanks for temp advice.. i'll give it a go next month. Just one quickie - do i start temping first day of AF???
Kali - sending positive vibes for your injections.. Did you have injections for IUI? the are very small needle tips- if the same as mine!
Helenwantsabub- so glad follies are looking good. You should have more by the time you get there as there is still 3 days to go YAY!!!
LJharmony - lets look towards May for a great, successful month together! x x
Plumptobump - sounds soooo exciting... I want a holiday!!!!!!
Lene Lou- welcome. I'm new at this too. But i love it. I look forward to checking posts everyday. Look forward to hearing from you lots!

Sorry to everyone else that has got AF
I havent been posting in here much, just been a little down and have a cold to go along with it.
Im still testing on the 16th/18th no signs whats so ever this month but i think thats mainly because i have a cold and my mind isnt thinking about every sign like every other month.
Goodluck to everyone still to test:wizard:
Hi all
Another week gone by - they go so quickly these days
Meltux - are you a teacher? is that why you're on hols?
Lene Lou - welcome along, hope you enjoy the thread
Plump - you sound like you're having a great time, good luck with the egg catching
Kali - hope you get to start the injections today and that they won't hurt at all  , just don't look when you do it
LJ - sorry about the temps going down - I have seen some charts though where I've thought it'll be a negative, and they get a BFP -definitely is a freaky friday - imagine having a baby conceived on friday 13th to a man born in 66 and due on the 4th  (4 is the unlukiest number in Japan)
Helen - Yeah for lots of follies :yelclap: , I hope it all goes really well on Monday and that they are all little champion eggies
at last - glad you're sounding a bit better, I always temp from CD 1 but I know others start around CD9-10, I'm just anal and like a complete chart
trina - congrats on the BFP :smiliedance: hope you have a worry free and joyful pregnancy
bobby - hope you're going ok?? thinking good thoughts for the next cycle
IUI went well this morning but hurt a little more than last time, but as I am putting my hand up for wanting to experience labour, I'll not complain.
Temp lesson for me this month though, if I weren't doing blood tests, looking at my chart I would say I o'd on CD14. I have also been doing OPKs at home (for something to do), and they have agreed with the btests (+OPK yesterday afternoon). But temp went up yesterday and CM had nearly all disappeared this morning. Confusing, I guess the scientists are right and they told me to throw my themometre out but interesting to see what happens over the next few days.
Have a good weekend all

Thanks for all the good vibes for my monday preg test. I am not feeling that hopeful as I am not showing any signs at this moment. Not that I really know what they would be. My IVF doctor is no longer practicing and I have to find a new one by next week if the worst is to happen and the preg test is neg.
Not feeling very happy or positive at this stage. REally don't feel anything and all I want to do is sleep.
Good luck to all this month.

LJ: Am so sorry to hear you are spotting hon!! :hugs: :hugs: I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend ahead to pamper yourself. Thinking of you.
Len Lou - welcome to this wonderful thread!! Fingers crossed for you.
Lilith - sorry to hear the IUI was a bit paiinful for you. Big hugs. I hope this is the last time you have to go through this.
Kali - hang in there hon. I found the injections quite easy to do. You don't really feel them. Big hugs!
Helen - exciting news from you!! Well done on all those follies!!
Not much to report here. Am still really enjoying the new job. Am falling asleep on the train though. No real symptoms so just waiting to see. Still not happy with my temps. Will test a week on Sunday (22nd).
LJ - So sorry AF came:gloomy:. I wish I had the words to make it easier for you. Take care sweetie.
Welcome Lene Lou, I will send out sticky vibes to you so you get a BFP on Monday, you may not feel anything straight away so stay positive. Its a shame you wont have your FS to see it though with you.
Lilith -Hope you get a BFP in two weeks. :hugs:Hugs to you. It will be a lucky day for you today. Sending you truckloads of babydust your way.
Meltux - I needed that heat pack last night - AF has been soooo painful this month.
Plumptobump - I am sooo jealous your travels sound great - I hope we get to hear you with a baby called Sunshine or California at the end of the year:D.
Trina 73 - CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BFP - WOOHOO - Another Christmas baby WOW!
Kali - hope those injections treat you okay (the little sting it will bring will be worth it).
Helen - Great follies there. How exciting it THAT? All the best for EPU.
To everyone else taking the long road TTC I am sending you out some positive vibes. I certainly feel it when I am sent some from these lovely girls here .
Have a great weekend.
LJ - Loads more :hugs: to you tonight!!!!!!!!!!
Bobby - I have given my heatpack over to Dh for his sore hip...seems to be helping it!!! i may need it later as i always have "o" pains in this time of my cycle which lasts a couple of days!!!
Trina - Congrats.....very exciting !!!!!!:smiliedance:
lilith - i am a high school teacher and enjoying a break for 10 days....although have had the flu...it is great to have a rest from the kids and the people you work with (love them all BUT good to get away from IT ALL)
Well my Dh went to the doc about his sore back/leg today and has been told he has a cracked hip and will need steroid injections (yes...he beat me to it yay:laughing: ). he is in a lot of pain and i feel terrible for wanting to Bd all the time and....I even shed a couple of tears. I am ok now and all will be good as I will be here in may too!!! i truely love reading all posts and being able to "confide" in you all!:yelclap:
well going to enjoy a glass of red wine (actually am going to have two!!!!)
oh Melux - sorry to hear DH has a crook hip - hope its a nice drop of wine. I cracked one myself to be honest. These things are sent to try us, I have been upset because of DH's ED so many times but have come to accept it as I know how feels it too. Its okay to shed a tear. If you fuss over DH , fluff his pillow, it may take your mind of some of the hardship of TTC .
thanks bobby! And gorgeous drop of red being enjoyed here! (soooo sick of being the GOOD ttcer....um also what is your Dh "ED" mean...sorry :o )
Definately having a 2nd glass..Titans just beat the Broncos - bloody hell!!!!!(yep my mind was off ttc for a few minutes then...thanks! ) Off to watch another episode of Greys Anatomy! Sadly I am now hooked:yelclap: !
Goodnight all
mel xxxx
Go the Titans! Meltux - ED is abbev for Erectile Dysfuction. I dont see it being used around Bubhub much so can understand the confusion. Its not something that happens to someone so young.

meltux - I am sorry to hear your news about your DH, I hope he is feeling better soon. I know how you are feeling, a few years back my DH was playing rugby league and he tore his tummy muscles and was out of action and in so much pain for a week or so, but he was really good about it and tried not to complain to much, but he is a boy and he is not all that great with pain  . Sending you lots of positive, sticky vibes and take care.
morganj - Great to hear the job is going well and you are enjoying it. Sending you lots of positive, sticky vibes and all the best with the testing :fingerscrossed: for a BFP.
Lene Lou - That can be a good sign, with not feeling anything. I have heard alot of ladies say exactly the same thing and get a BFP. They say that symptoms don't really kick in till about 6 weeks, so keep positive cause you never know and I am sending you lots of positive sticky vibes and I wish you all the very best :fingerscrossed: for a BFP. Take care
LJHarmony - Sorry to hear about the spotting, but don't write the cycle off just yet, it is not truly over til AF has really arrived. Take care and have a great weekend.
Lilith - Great to hear your IUI went well and I wish you all the very best and sending you lots of positive, sticky vibes, Take care and have a great weekend.
DubbaBubba - Sorry you are feeling unwell, I hope you are feeling better soon and all the best and sending you lots of buby dust and sticky vibes. Take care
Trina73 - Congrtualtions on your BFP, that is wonderful news and I wish you all the very best with your pregnancy, take care.
Atlast - I agree with you, it is nice to have a break from all those injections, I too am looking at doing my second ICSI cycle in June, so maybe the second half of this year will be our turn! I wish you all the very best and take care.
kali - Sorry to hear work has been rather busy, hope things slow down for you soon! I wish you all the very best with your injections, I know they are terrible, but worth it when you get that BFP, once the first one is over, it is a lot more easier from there. Take care and have a great weekend
marcelsmum - Congratulations on your BFP, that is wonderful news, well done and all the best with your pregnancy
To all you lovely ladies I have missed, I am sorry and I hope you are well and you have a great weekend planned. Sending you lots of positive, sticky vibes.
As for me, my new puppy (his name is Jet) is still keeping us on our toes getting us ready for parent hood. I can't remember our 15 month old maltese (Missy) ever being like that, but it is funny what you forget. He is so cute and I am so glad we got him, never thought I would have two dogs but they are so great together and they keep each other occupied which is so great.
On the natural thing, sorry to say it is a BFN for me this month, woke this morning to my AF, I also caved and did a HPT last Monday and it was a negative and Thursday & Friday I had been spotting but with my temp tracking, temps have still been high. I am ok with the BFN, means another month closer to our next ICSI cycle and we are trying really hard just to relax and forget about things and what will happen will happen, DH has said that maybe with all this stuff he and I have been doing it might increase our chances for a natural BFP so we will see. I have a birthday in May so maybe a birthday gift (fingerscrossed)
It feels like at work at the moment, there are pregnant women everywhere and that is just at work, in my Division. I am so happy for them and it is a good thing and I hope this luck rubs off on me, but man, enough already (hee hee) Don't people watch any TV any more. It is good to see a few of them who have been trying for a while and one who is 12 weeks now who lots her 1st baby in labour and they are pregnant again and I have everything crossed for her as she has been through more then enough. Anyway if I believe in signs and I do, maybe I will go and sit on all there chairs (hee hee)
OK I have taken up enough time and I should go and have some breakfast and get some domestic stuff done.
Good morning girls
Have you all got something great planned for the weekend?? DH is on call so we probably won't be doing too much
LJ - so sorry about the spotting :hugs: I know this is getting really hard for you, you've been so strong. I read in your diary you're thinking of going back to work. I think that sounds great. We all love you heaps LJ
Lene Lou - 2 sleeps til testing, the no symptoms are fine I think, as long as you don't have any AF signs all is good :fingerscrossed: for you
Julie - so glad you're enjoying the new job, it sounds very busy. How many DPO are you?
bobby - hope AF and her pain have eased for the weekend. All the best.
meltux - so sorry about your DH, I think that bottle of red was much deserved last night. I totally understand how you would be concerned for him and for catching the egg - hope you can work it out. Looks like we have a few things in common - I'm a HS teacher as well who is also addicted to Grey's.
macca - so sorry about the nasty witch :hugs: , I do believe all the changes you have both been making are huge and will help you get your BFP. Jet sounds too cute - you'll have to post us some pics.
1dpo here - need to get back to work so I can have other things to occupy my mind :p .
Feeling better today - had 3 glasses of wine last night- giving myself a reality check.. As i was doing this a news item came on - a terrible car accident in Melb (Killed #3 people).. Yep i thought - that is a sign.. So after many tears i pulled myself together. i told myself to focus on IVF in June whilst bd'ing these 2 next months. I also thought it would be good idea to plan a holiday - so that I'm looking forward to something as else other than BFP :ecomcity:
macc27975- yes lets keep FINGERS CROSSED for our June cycles. I am also doing icsi.... So you have done one ICSI cycle yeah? did you get many eggs collected? So in June are you getting eggs taken again or implanting an embryo?
Meltux- i am also a teacher - agh..... i don't want to go back!!!!! Hope your husband is feeling ok.... It's a trying time, but when we all get to other side we really appreciate how strong women are!!!
Traina73- CONGRATS CONRATS CONGRATS - Christmas baby yay!!!!
MorganJ - 22nd of April :fingerscrossed:
Ljharmony :hugs: So sorry - AF sucks!!!!
Lilith - hoping and praying for a successful IUI for you!
Kali, Helen, Bobby and Lenelou hope all is going ok!!!
Good Morning ladies
You ladies are such busy chatters I find it difficult to keep up with you all! Hehe. Unfortunately I can't access bubhub at work anymore like I used to.
Macca - am so sorry to hear about AF arriving. June isn't too far away. And a great idea to just relax for a couple of months - you just never know do you!! Fingers crossed for you and am sending you lots of positive vibes.
Meltux - sorry to hear about your hubby!! I hope he's feeling better soon!! :hugs: Hope you had an enjoyable evening with a couple of glasses of wine. Sounds lovely.
Lilith - sending you lots of stick and positive vibes too. I really hope this is the last IUI for you.
Lene Lou - sending you lots of positive vibes too. I hope you get your BFP this week.
Trina73 - great news about your BFP. Congratulations!!! :smiliedance:
LJ - big hugs to you hon!! Hope you're feeling ok.
Well I feel a bit :barf: this morning and I fell asleep on the train last night on the way home from work. Was asleep on the couch not long after I got in too. Hopefully that's a good sign anyway. It would be so typical for it to happen straight after starting my new job - but hey who cares. Not me!! A friend of mine suggested I put ttc off for three months now so I'll get maternity leave when I fall pg and I'm like - after two years of ttc I don't think I'll be taking a break hon. A baby is much more important to me that maternity leave.

thankyou for all the condolences girls...they are appreciated.
i am not too sure and need to put things back into perspective, so i am thinking of taking another little break from bubhub...it might just be until the end of the month or it could be longer (i'm not sure yet)
this last cycle shock me up pretty bad and i just need to get back in touch with myself again...........

I bid thee farewell

Lilith - the terrible 2ww, I wish you all the very best, good that you are working and keeping the mind occupied, I am sure the weeks will fly by and :fingerscrossed: a BFP. I will see what I can do about some pics to show off my new little addition to my family. It is funny, it is only a puppy, but it makes me so clucky, even more :)
atlast - I am glad you are feeling better, you need to get it all out to be able to move on and try again. I agree relax between now and June, enjoy each other and no pressure, it is hard to forget totally, but if it happens it happens is a good attitude, and June will be here before we know it :) A holiday is a great idea, my DH & I went to QLD for a week in Feb 07 and it was the best thing we ever did, it gave us some alone time and also to relax and enjoy each other and also gave me some time to heel and prepare myself again to come back and try again, so a holiday for you guys might be just what you need right now. My last ICSI cycle was Nov/Dec 06 so June will be another full cycle, as we didn't get any to freeze from our last cycle, my fs thinks I may have over stimulated early and my eggs went bad, hence the reason why we only had 1 out of 10 that was good enough to transfer, so next time our fs has reduced my meds and she is hoping to collect less eggs but of better quality and between now and then DH and I are on a health kick and DH has stop smoking and it taking heaps of multi's and he has to have a DNA fragmentation test at the end of may and depending on the results we are hoping to get the green light to try again in June, but for now we are relaxing and you never know what will happen. Take care and have a great weekend.
morganj - tired and sick are good signs, :fingerscrossed: I agree with you, no need to put things on hold to get maternity leave, when it happens I guess that is when it is meant to be, maybe the new job and all that is just what you needed and they say things happen in threes so maybe a new job, a BFP and something else, who knows, but I wish you all the very best. Take care and have a great weekend
Goodmorning everyone!!! i only had 2 wines last night as I felt as guilty as hell but just needed to relax for a bit...and I did...watched greys anatomy until 3am!!! Cried, laughed and finally fell to sleep! DH snored (thanks painkillers!!!!) BUT I fell asleep easily!!
Lilith - yay holidays...oh no work sooooo sooon!!!! (i sound like one of my students!)
Morganj - yes a baby is much more important!! being tired is crappy but hopefully a good sign for you!!!
Atlast - yep when I started to cry and laugh at the same time last night...bed time seemed best!!! yes...the female race is very strong and it is shown right here within these posts!!!! I too am focussing on IUI in June and am really trying to forget and also forgive myself for being so damn obsessed about all of this!!! holidays ending so soon noooooooooo!
Macca - And i know how you feel about everyone being preggas around you...i am sooo happy for them all and I LOVE of my nephews and neice (all of which I saw being born as well as a friends baby)...so yeh, I embrace the whole thing but ya know....it gets you down at times. I have a woman i work with (preggas) who has said she doesn't want to have another one etc etc and that really pees me off. Would love to see pics of your little furbaby!!! I want one too!!!!

good luck to everyone doing IUI, EPU, planning holidays etc etc.

((hugs)) thanks Helen, it means alot. I haven't gone yet....I've decided on a namechange/username to give me a bit of a boost and I'll change my TTC diary name with it too.
I'll be thinking of you and hoping that the remainder of your cycle goes well, I hoping for you ((fingerscrossed))
as for me, I'm doing ok after GIFT...now just have to wait for blood test...and hopefully bfp
ciao LG
I hope that all goes well for you this cycle, adamsmum and will be checking either end of month or beginning of May to see how you went!! Good Luck
Hi girls
Lots happening since I last checked in.
OH Helen... fantastic news!!! I'm so excited for you for Monday!! Enjoy your weekend. Monday will be here befor eyou know it. Hope they won't have to do the lap to retrieve the eggs, but you've had a lap before haven't you... you'll be fine whatever happends.
HI Atlast: Glad you're feeling a bit better. June will be here before you know it. No, I didn't have injections with IUI - just natural cycles like Lilith. So all new for me. Glad you're looking forward to your IVF. June is not so far way. And a holiday is a great idea!
Hi Trina73: Fantastic news! Congratulations on your BFP!!! Have a fabulous 9 months
HI Dubbabubba: Sorry to hear you've been feelking down. Thanks for popping in again. HOpe your cold doesn't hang around too long. Colds can certianly make you feel miserable can't they...
Bobby: hope you're feeling a bit better today.
Lilith: Great to hear IUI went well. Sorry it hurt a bit though. Yes, my FS told me not to bother with temping; they reckon it just confuses women and adds more stress. Personally, I'm just too damn lazy to temp!
Lene Lou: Sorry you're not feeling too hopeful. I hope AF stays away for you. Hope you can find a lovely new doctor if it comes to it. What city are you in? Maybe some girls here have suggestions.
Hi Julie: Glad to hear you are enjoying your new job. Hope the next week flies by for you. Certianly the signs look good so far!
Meltux: Oh your poor old DH with his cracked hip! It never rains it poors..... Did his doctor say how long it will take to recover? Sorry to both of you... Hope you enjoyed that glass of wine.
Macca: Ooooohh you're puppy sounds so sweet! Its great to have two dogs to keep each other company. So sorry to hear its a BFN for you. Bloody AF.. I am feeling very sad for you. So sorry.... But its not too long to your next ICSI.... Sounds like you have the right approach
LJ: I'm so sorry love. So, so sorry. Sending you lots of love and hugs and support. I'm feeling for you xxxx You're FS sounds like he really cares for you ... I'm sure you're chances will only improve. I've been reading your diary and Im so sorry to hear you are down, but I think you are on the right track thinking about moving into work or study. Good look forwards and not put your life on hold. Take a break from bubhub if you need to focus on somehting other than TTC for a while. I love your idea of a name change.... Whaever you decide, we'll all be here and thinking of you...
Adamsmum: Fingers and toes are crossed for a BFP for you ...... not long to test now.
Well, my news.... I got my results of my blood test on Friday afternoon. Apparently the Synarel nose spray has done nothing! No effect at all! :banghead: My hormones are way up past where they should be. My AF came on Wednesday but disappeared that night (usually have it for 5 days). Nurse said that she spoke to FS and they were confused that i wasn't progressing. They said to just keep taking it and call them next THursay or Friday for another blood test :( unless AF arrives properly. Apparently my hormones say AF hasn't come yet. I have a little spotting today so hoping she turns up properly. Then i might be able to go in for another BT early next week. Sooo frustrating I can't even move onto the injection phase (despite my phobia). Just gotta be patient I guess

Hello Ladies,
I had a huge sleep this afternoon. I woke up in the morning feeling not so good and a lot cranky. DH and I had to go to Medicare to claim back from our last IVF & ICSI cycle and then went to look at some curtains. Couldn't do it so it was a very quick trip to spotlight and home to the couch where I slept for 5 and a bit hours. woke up feeling ok but am still really tired. I also had a bit of spotting. I am not going to let myself get too worried about it because it could all be about the IFV medications. I just don't know.
Trina: congrats on the BFP...:yelclap:
Morganj: hopefully our sleepiness is a good thing for both of us. I agree the mat leave is not the important bit the baby is.
Macca27975: Thanks for all the good vibes and I will be thinking of you and sending you good sticky vibes too. Jet, he sounds like one cute puppy.
Lilith: Sending you lots of sticky vibes also.
At Last: The holiday sounds like a great idea it will relax and prepare you for the IVF/ICSI treatment if you need it in june. Good luck and lots of sticky vibes for you too.
For all of you who are waiting for test or TTC naturally or with assistance good luck and may all your dreams come true this month or next.
Tomorrow, I have to sit down and get together all the phone numbers I need to find a new fertility specialist. Mine is unable to practice for a little while so I have to first choose a new FS and then I have to find out how long I have to wait for an appointment if I can get in at all in the next month or so. Then I have to get my GP to prepare another referrall and get it over to the new FS asap.
If all the worst is to happen over the next 5 days then I will probably have IVF and ICSI procedure in June if I can get into see a new FS.
I won't say that I am not upset by this as I have been seeing my specialist for gyne since approx 1998 and fertility for the last year and a bit. So I have built up a lot of trust and respect for him and his patient care. He will back later this year but I don't want to put the cycles off the the timeframe required. At my age I am getting to the less quality eggs in my stash.

Good morning girls,
Macca - sorry AF came :hugs:. Its a bit hard to relax and forget TTC when other ladies around your are pregnant. Your little puppy sounds so cute and must help keep you busy.
Lilith - hope that TWW goes fast for you.
atlast - hope your feeling better - planning a holiday sounds great, we decided to skip town for Anzac Day week to Moreton Island, just a barge trip away from home. No shops so we can only go walking swimming and sit and watch waves.
Morganj - feeling tired is a very positive sign :fingerscrossed:
LJ - there is times when you feel a break from Bubhub will help focus on other things, I think we all should be able to do this anytime - so take care. Name change sounds good, as they say a change is as good as a holiday.
Adamsmum - how are you? - taking it easy on your TWW I hope.
Helen - best of luck Monday - will be waiting to see how you went.
Meltux - how are you, hope DH isnt in too much pain. Is he a good patient?
Kali - sorry that the nasal spray didnt do its job. I do get a bit confused on what each thing is supposed to do. Keep strong, it will all happen, Hang in there.
Lene Lou - It would be frustrating to have to look for another FS - did your FS belong to a group as I am surprised that someone cant just take on your care. Will send you heaps of sticky baby vibes :wizard:, stay away AF.
Good luck to everyone testing soon.
Have a great weeked.

Hi Girls,
No spotting this morning hopefully a good sign. AF pains are not so bad either......roll on tomorrow....then I will know one way or the other. It is the waiting that is the worst.
I want to say a big thank you to all the wonderful people on this thread. You have made me feel welcome and it is really great to have you all to talk to.
Bobby: The group practice that I go to has about 8 other FSs the problem is which one do I go to as I have not seen any of them before. I have just about made up my mind who it will be. I will ring the clinic tomorrow to get the file transferred. I just hope that my GP can fax a referal instead of me having to pay for another consultation to collect it.
Will keep you posted on the blood test tomorrow.
Take care to all and sticky vibes being sent in abundance..

HELEN - big :hugs: to you for monday...you'll be fine i'm sure. it's great that things are finally happening for you. I guess you've done your trigger inject by now ??
LENE LOU - :fingerscrossed: for BT tomorrow...at least the wait will be over and you know the answer. cant believe you haven't tested at home though?? You're much stronger than me (p.s. whilst good FS is important...the nurses to me are more than vital. I reckon they run most clinics...and are the key to success.)
BOBBY- i'm fine...just relaxing for the mo. and trying to not get to anxious about things...I've done as much as I can.
KALI - sorry the Synarel not working...I didn't even think that it couldn't normalise hormones...just assumed it worked for everyone and sounds as though clinic are jsut as miffed?*&#@ (miffed?*&#@e)
LILITH - :fingerscrossed: for you after IUI. it takes so long to get to actually do one...all the best for some fantastic news. will you test before BT at clinic?
cheers to all...have a sensational week. LG
Hi all,
Thanks for all your support...
LJHarmony- good idea - name change or break. But while your still here can i thank you for your advice, sensitive words, and always trying to give hope and be positive!!! You will be very missed, thanks for the welcome!!! Look forward to hearing from you again in the future. Lots of love
Helen - can't wait to hear how you go tomorrow ..... x x
Lene Lou - are you having blood test tomorrow or HPT? Where are you from?
Kali - i have heard this same issue with 2 of my friends.. But it was quickly adjusted so i'm hoping yours is too so that it works. x x
Bobby - yeah definitely will do that holiday - no shopping - agh... he he
Adamsmum- can i ask a little bout GIFT? Is there a reason people have GIFT? Is it because of a fertility prob with ,male or female or neither etc etc
Meltux- Don't feel guilty for being obsessed.. This is one of the things in life we just can not control and that ****es me off big time. Ofcourse we get obsessed because its so important for us.. We just have to keep finding other interests as well (easier said than done)
macca27975 - hew disappointing for you and your dh.. Hopefully with the new adjustment to your meds, all the eggs will be thawed... Here we come june !!!!
hi to you all - hope all is going well... my blood test was :bfn: as i said earlier but i still don't have AF only little spotting- it's doing my head in !!!!:banghead: I want it to come so i can move on- if that makes sense..

Hey ladies
Well i just got back from my gyno/fs and im happy to say im very pleased with todays appointment. I seen my regular doc not the one i seen last time and she was really lovely, first thing she said is "omg u look great u've lost some weight" which i have and had been trying really hard with it lately then she checked all my bloods i had done and asked how id been going and i said AF is due this wednesday and i hadnt tested yet ( dont wanna jinx myself) she then said ur ovulating now so its only a matter of time and gave me a script for clomid yay:smiliedance: im so happy finally somethings gunna happen.
So i start clomid on day 2 of my circle and take it for 5 days. So it doesnt matter if i get AF on wednesday im looking at the bright side of things, i feel like a weight has been lifted of my shoulders.
Well thats my excitement for today. hope everyone has a wonderful week and sending
lots of babydust to everyone:wizard:
Hi all,
Lene Lou: :hugs: you poor love. I hope AF stays away. How are you today?
Meltux: Hope the panadol etc kicks in soon so you start to feel better!
dubba: oh what fantastic news!!!!! I can see how delighted you are! You should be really proud of yourself with the weightloss: and what a lovely FS to point it out and make you feel so good about things. Its only up from here girl!
atlast: what's happening there? any news?
LJ: Love your new name!
 bobby
Helen: thinking about you today. Hope the Egg pick up went well and that you're not feeling to awful. Pop in and let us know how you went when you're feeling up to it.
Well, my AF finally arrived properly so i'm going to ring the nurses and book in for another blood test. Hope these few extra days on the Synarel have done the trick!
HI...
Lene Lou - I feel your pain (well most of us here do) the wait, the checking, the worrying etc etc.. I'm hoping you get good news from blood test.
Keli - Yay... One step closer..So my fingers are crossed tight for you.....
Dubbaubba- fantastic news!!!
Meltux - how you feeling?
Helen, hope all is well x x

Hi to all you wonderful Ladies and thank you so much for all your support...
I had my egg pick up this morning ( they did not have to do a laparoscopy:thumbsup: thank god)
I have 5 eggs...which I am happy with...I will find out in the morning how many have fertilized, then I will be having ET on Saturday as we are having the works with egg blastocyst, assisted hatching an embro glue....
 a Big hello to all you lovely ladies...sorry my mind is in a spin to do personals
By the way I feel great and only a little bit of sorness in my tummy...I was very tired when I got home so I had a long sleep...I am having tomorrow off as my work is pretty physical...
Cheers Helen
Good morning girls
Helen - that's great news! I'm glad you didn't have to have a lap., :fingerscrossed: that all 5 fertilize for you
meltux - hope your DH is feeling better after the steriods, what about you? too hard to teach with an infected throat, hope all the tablets are helping
Alicia - congrats on the weight loss, best of luck for a BFP this week, if not yeah for clomid. This is my first month on it and I'm hoping for a clomid miracle
adamsmum - how's the tww going? hope yours is going faster than mine
LJ - love the new name and avatar - very appropriate and I hope it brings all new luck
Julie - are you still feeling tired, sick?? hope so ( I mean that in a nice way :p )
at last - so sorry about the BFN, if AF is going to be so nasty and arrive, the least she can do is arrive on time
bobby - hope you have a fantastic time on Moreton next week, my sister and her family are going over next week too, are you going to feed the dolphins?
Lene Lou - hope it was good news yesterday??
Kali - must be a little frustrating at the moment but I guess every woman is different and being your first time, they must have to work out what's what for you. hope the nasal spray has started doing it's thing
macca - hope the fur baby is not waking you up anymore and has settled in nicely
Nothing much going on here, I think the progesterone might be building up a bit as my nipples are sore. I often get that though just not this early but having had two follies, I'm guessing it's normal. I'm going to try and not convince myself I'm pregnant this month, no imaginary signs etc. I'll just wait and see if I get two nice little lines.
Helen - 5 eggs - thats fantastic news . Have a great relaxing day off - Feet up girl!!!
LeneLou - thinking of you, hope everything is okay.
Kali - Sounds like your going forward, it must a confusing time. Lets hope the next lot of drugs do their job.
atlast - :banghead: sorry you got a BFN, know how disappointing it is then for AF to play games with you really does your head in.
Lilith - hope your TWW goes quickly! We are staying in a house at Bulwer for the week, so havent planned to go to Tangalooma. Have been told its a busy week over there so may leave it til next time.
Macca - how are you. Dont worry, you will be one of those pregnant ladies in the office soon.
Meltux - hope your feeling better today. Thank god for pain killers.
Good luck to everyone on the TWW .
Well I'm sneaking out soon to buy some sunnies - I seriously have to find a great book - any suggestions?
I have to get a reno done on myself - hair done, leg wax, pedicure, fake tan. Have to look better than the norm sitting on the beach doing nothing .

Oh Helen.
that is fantastic news.....
How many are you transferring?
Yay helen!!!!! :smiliedance:
bobby - i have recently read "The Bride Stripped Bare" (great) and "How to Kill Your Husband" (funny funny).....also anything by Paulina Simmons or Anne Rice.
BUT I too need a good book to get going with again!
Lilith - :fingerscrossed: for you. yeh, hard to handle teaching but I am onto some really good lozengers and these help. Panadol is helping and I feel HEAPS better today:thumbsup: . DH on the other hand has to have a series of scans and such before they will inject anything!! so he is on HARDCORE painkillers and still in pain. I did a relaxation Reiki session on him last night and he slept like a baby....the first time in ages!!! poor thing!
Hey, I think my prog is increasing a bit too as I have sore bbs and heaps of CM! But yeh - no hopes up and just getting on with things really. I am Acting HOD (head of Dept) and it is giving me a few more spare lessons and some time to write in this post (tee hee)! Nah, it's keeping me busy enough without a lot of stress with kids!!!
Atlast - so sorry about stupid, stupid, dumb, idiotic ,cow - of- a thing- AF showing up!!!! Damn her!!!!
Kali - althoug we all hate AF here....thisis good for your moving forward notions....good luck...when do you start
Dubbabubba - is this your first cycle of clomid???

Oh Helen, that is such fantastic news!! 5 googies, and 4 fertilised ... woohoo!!!! :fingerscrossed: that all survive till ET on Saturday. Two in the oven, two in the freezer
So happy for you... and v. glad that it wasnt too painful or anything. Yay!
Meltux: oh lucky you with a bit of extra time at work! Prog sounds good so far
Lilith: how many DPO are you now?
Marcel: how're you feeling?
bobby: ha ha! personal reno! :D I totally need one myself right now.... so busy havn't had a haircut in ages, summer tan long gone, legs gettin a bit prickly and way over due for an eyebrow wax. I swore after I got married i would have a manicure once a week (enjoyed my wedding one so much) and haven't had one since then (almost 2 years ago  ) Have a fab holiday ...!
Atlast: how frustrating for you. You either want your BFP or for AF just to show, not drag on like this. Sorry to hear this
Well, I had another blood test this morning. Just waiting for the nurse to call to let me know if the nose spray has started to work.
well, update here guys. Nurse just rang. Unfortunately this stupid nose spray still isn't working. They said keep taking it till Friday and come for another blood test then.
i'm really hoping this cycle doesn't get written off. :gloomy:
Yay Helen - :smiliedance: . Thats fantastic news.
Kali - :hugs: - keep strong, take a deep breath, think positive thoughts. Go for a walk in the fresh air. Anything to take you mind off things. I will send you heaps of positive vibes - a lot can happen in a few days.

Kali:hugs: try to say positive...I know it all seems too hard some times..but the spray will work, maybe all it needs is until friday and I am sure things will be fine for you, I will be praying for you that the spray works
Hi chicks,
Well AF arrived today _YAY (didn't think i would ever say that) Anyway DH and I went to FS today, we may be able to start ICSI when next Af arrives in May. latest will be June, but Fs will be away and someone else will have to look after me and do the procedures. anyway ICSI - here i come!!!
Kali - :banghead: How frustrating... Ok all these hurdles you have had to jump - this is just another stupid hurdle, jump it and look towards friday.... Sending all positive thoughts and thinking of you! xx
Helen - YAY......... Did you think about transferring only one? what made you make up your mind to transfer two? AS this is something our FS told us to think about if we are lucky to get two...
Bobby - go have a 'maintenance' week - wax, pluck, do nails, get tan - and you will feel tops!! ( I love maintenance week)
Meltux - good signs - keep us posted!!
Hi lovely ladies.... am heading to bed early as have had long day at work (first day with students back and although a bit of free time 2 meetings until 5pm) so i promise i will find sometime in the day to post to you all!!!
Atlast - glad you can smile about Af for this once
Kali - I don't really understand what the spray is for??? I'm sure i will find out when i meet with FS when I go to find out about injections but can you tell me? thank you
hi everyone else and:wizard: to you all
Morning girls
Helen - Yeah for the little eggies :wizard: they stay nice and strong
Kali - :hugs: I'm sure everything will be alright. I don't know much about the spray but it's a long time til Friday and bodies work slowly sometimes, Best of luck
Haven't got time for many personals so have a good day all and will chat soon
Thanks for all your kind words girls :hugs:
I'm just trying to be patient. Was ready to crack lasst night; feeling a bit teary this morning - very highly strung. not sure if its the drugs or just the anticipation, frustration, disappointment all come to a head.
Fortunately i'm at a workshop for work till Friday afternoon anyway so wont have time to think about it (or pop in here either). So just want to wish you all luck for the next few days
Lillith; not long to go with TWW
Helen: hope the embies are coming along nicely. All good so far. And Saturday isn't far away.
Atlast: yay for AF finally showing! Hopefully you'll be able to start ICSI in May!
Meltux: I think the nose spray is meant to 'down regulate' all your hormones - bringing them back to baseline level. The aim apparently is to stop you ovulating naturally so that they can cook the eggs, but not have them pop before they have a chance to collect them.
Hi to all the others

Helen - YAY......... Did you think about transferring only one? what made you make up your mind to transfer two? AS this is something our FS told us to think about if we are lucky to get two...
Because of my age our FS suggested us putting 2 embryos back in to double our chance, but it was up to us, he just say that there could be a chance of mulitbles:eek: which secrectly I wouldn't mind anyway:laughing:

I'm just trying to maximise my chances due to my age.
Hope eveyone else is ok...love to hear(read) your news and developments with TCC.
Me I'm still in TWW....I've been busy at work which keeps my mind occupied...so trying to not obsess with testing which I will probably do on Sunday...I due to also have BT on 30/04. Had the tiniest bit spotting this am (implantation??? who knows ???)

Good Evening Lovely Ladies
Ziggy - I am seeing Michael Gronow at Melbourne IVF and I can't speak highly enough of him. Very easy going and easy to talk to. And he's very caring aswell. My referral was for a different FS but I just phoned him as I'd heard good things and took the referral to him. Good luck with whatever you decide!! You'll get there hon.
Lene Lou - a huge huge congratulations to you!!! :smiliedance: Am over the moon for you. It will be a Merry Christmas indeed. Wishing you a very healthy 8 months ahead.
Kali - big :hugs: to you.
Helen - very excited at the possibility of twins for you!! How very cool would that be!! Fingers crossed!
Adamsmum - fingers crossed it's implantation - sounds promising.
And a big hello to all the lovely ladies I haven't mentioned - not much time for personals tonight I'm afraid.
Not much to report here. Will be testing Monday if AF doesn't show over the weekend. If AF does show over the weekend - well the good news is it will be the first time I've ever had a four week cycle that I can remember. Good night ladies.

Hi Ladies,
Kali - Thought I'd take up your offer and join you lovely ladies here in this thread.
I'm a bit of a mess this morning as AF have just arrived and the realisation has set in that I'm off to IVF for assisted conception. It's so wonderful that there is this option but I feel really low today  that I haven't conceived naturally.
It'll be great to have all your support on here and I look forward to getting to know you all.
I see there is another Helen so I hope you don't mind that I'm here too and that there is no confusion. Just refer to me as helenmac.
Oh by the way Kali can you adjust my name as I'm out for this month....thanks.
Goodmorning everyone!!!!
Congrats Lene lou ...although i said it on the other thread but
CONGRATS YAY YAY YAAAAAYY
Helen - how are you feeling?
MorganJ....:fingerscrossed: that Af desn't show her ugly red head!!!! yuck yuck yuck yuck!!!
Adamsmum - 2ww sucks!!! The spott could be implantation, hormonal....but definately something good!! I will be thinking of you every second! Waiting for the good news!!
Ziggy - I know it is soooooo **** at times all of this and because we can't see what's going on with our bits (don't hang out on display like males) we have to go inside and check it all out!! Will this lap help out with something that is wrong?( you may have already mentioned this) BUT keep strong and focussed and we are here for you.....
Hi helenmac -You are very welcome to this thread and i may be going down the same path as you at the end of next month...it is a hard one huh? i have nothing wrong here maybe just a bit of hormonal imbalance which i think i am helping BUT....no BFP! It is amazing how easy it is for some to fall and others well...it's just a lifelong challenge! BUT we on this thread try and stay positive and hold eachothers hands through it all. i have only been on here for 3 weeks and sooooo feel comforted and loved! And i know when it is my turn for IUI, that i can come on here and be supported through and through!!! (by the way thanks everyone!)
So what is your first step?
Atlast - how are things
hi to everyone else out there in bubhub land!!!
I am ok...tired and grumpy as well as happy and sad today and have parent/teacher night tonight so won't get home until 9.30. Gotta love hormones!!!
i have had a few cramps and twinges last night (but again could be reading into everything as usual) I'm currently 6dpo. have decided to keep busy and get into some exercise in the mornings.....Also extra healthy eating. (not really unusual here but just to concentrate on something else a little more). So yeh, just staying positive and focussed (for now!) i am well and truely better again and now we just have to get DH "fixed". he goes back to the doc today with scan and such so hopefully by tonight he may feel a bit of pain relief in his hip/leg!!!
have lovely days...:fingerscrossed: the hormones let me have a decent day!!!

Helen - how are you feeling?
Hi Meltux, I am feeling pretty positive , getting very excited about my ET on Saturday....I have a lot of pain in my ovaries today so i rang the nurses and they said that it is normal after EPU, and usually takes a couple of day to come out......
Sorry you hormones are playing havick with you...I hope your TTW goes fast, I will be joining you soon:smiliedance:
H chickies,
Meltux - i'm really good today - feeling positive and ready to move on.. Your signs sound promising - :fingerscrossed:
I booked our counsellor session today with Melb IVF - the nurse is hopping we can start May but my Dh is walking the kokoda trail - leaves May 7th.. Which is ok as it means i will do meds on my own and he will be back for transfer time- to give spermie! But DH and friends were going to Cairns for 2 days for a 'relaxing time' (what a life!!!) so if we started he would not be able to drink i am guessing, which he is ok with.. I mean TTC for 18 months has been our priority but i just don't know if he needs this break! He is saying that baby comes first bla bla.. Sorry just needed to debrief!
Helenmac - welcome welcome..... Nice to have you here!!!
 to you all xx
Congratulations Lene Lou :yelclap:
Fantastic news about your BFP - hope it's a real sticky one, what a great Chrissy present for you
Kali - best of luck for tomorrow hun :fingerscrossed: hope that spray has done its thing
Alicia - good luck for testing tomorrow happybirthday would be a great belated birthday pressie for you (can totally understand why you didn't want to test today)
Helen - love the new avatar!!! do you have any update on the embies or will you just find out on Saturday?? I'm sure they're all going along nice and strong
atlast - great news about your ICSI and it's so nice to hear how supportive your DH is
meltux - glad you're feeling better and hope your DH will be by tonight too, hope you're having "fun" at the interviews, I'm 6DPO too and my emotions are all over the place as well, let's hope it's a good sign
Julie - hope AF stays right away this weekend so you can do a POAS on Monday
Helenmac - welcome along, I'm so sorry about AF arriving for you and I hope your next ttc "adventure" is successful
adamsmum - how the tww going? Hopefully faster than mine, sounds like you're staying occupied and I'm sure adam has you on the run
Bobby - getting ready for your break away? I'm so jealous
Hi everyone else
No news here, very busy back into work and trying not to think or obsess about things too much (yeah right)
have a nice night all
Hi to everyone else,

Hi Ladies,
Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome to this thread!!
Meltux -
I hope the dreaded 2ww goes fast for you. At 6dpo your twinges and pains could mean implantation :fingerscrossed: that's what it is...!
Helen - :wizard: sending you sticky baby dust for those 2 strong embies!
Atlast - All the very best for your commencement of IVF in May. Looks like I'll be joining you.
Dubbabubba - happybirthday I hope your AF stays away. A BFP would be the best b'day pressie ever!!! Fingers crossed for you.
Lilith - I hope the 2ww goes really fast for you.
Keep being possitive.
Kali - How are you? If you dont' mind me asking, I was wondering who your IVF Doctor in Chatswood is? Mine is Ric Porter, he's fabulous!!
As for me, I've booked my first IVF appointment (registration) for May 7th. My cycles are only 25 days long so they had to book me in on day CD19 as opposed to day CD22. I've still got a chance with one more natural ovulation so I'm keeping hopeful for success.
My DH and I have opted to go straight to IVF instead of IUI as he has slight male factor (sperm quality) problems. I have no fertility issues as far as I'm aware except age may be contributing to difficulty in conception.
Good luck to you all..!
HelenHasTwins
20-04-2007, 08:22
Helenmac....good for you, we did 5 IUI and if I had known they were all going to fail I would have went straight to IVF also......but I am not saying IUI fails for everyone, some get BFP first go...
Dubbabubbahappybirthday
hey gals!!!
I have been super duper cranky today and verrrryyyyy intolerant of students BUT then go weird and want to cry about it and forget what the hell I am doing...so you could say it is a hormone running wild (second) day!!!! yuck!!!!! (on 8dpo) feel sick and yuck...hope it's not the flu still hanging on, I've had enough!!!!
Anyway, have also had a lot of camps and bloated belly today. Pregnancy symptoms? I ask myself....Nooooo, I reply....But maybe??????....Nooooo you're just tired from a huge parent/teacher night and looonnnnng week back at work....BUT....no buts, you are being silly and getting hopes up AGAIN....but...no buts....but maybe I will just keep a little twinge of hope as I do every 2WW....
So yeh, basically talking to myself and being cranky and forgetful!!!
Will write personals later when i get my head around who and what I am today!!!
good to see soooo much love and happiness here today!!:wizard:

Hi Girls,
Thank you all so much for all your well wishes.
I had a bit of a setback yesterday so I can't tell you if I am still PG or not. My new FS wants me to have anothe HCG test on Monday to see if the levels are going up or down to be totally sure of PG. He said that it is a possibility that one of the two Embryos transferred could still be there (fingers crossed) as the levels had not dropped late yesterday afternoon.
I will not be getting back on this weekend as I will be resting big time and talking with my DH about what to do next. I will tell you on Monday what the outcome is.
Helen - good luck and stickies for tomorrow.....
Congrats to all that have BFPs this month
Best wishes and luck to all ttc
Hugs and kisses to all that have had a vist by the witch or a BFN this month - my thoughts are with you all.
Take care to all
Lene Lou
Good afternoon girls,
LeneLou - :hugs: I hope everything is okay. Put your feet up, I hope you can try and relax, I know it will be hard its easier said than done. when I get back from Holidays will be checking on you.
Helen - Good luck tomorrow - love your Avator, so cute.
Kali - How did you BT go today? It was today?
Meltux - :fingerscrossed: on you TWW, hope those hormones are kind to you.
Lilith - hello - You will be time to test I think when I get back on 28th? is that right?
Ziggyzena - did they say why you needed another Lap? I wouldnt be impressed either, I'm taking a herbal tonic to hopely lessen the chance of getting endo back.
Helenmac - sorry AF came. Hope your feeling a bit better know, the first day is usually the worst. Wish you all the best on your IVF journey.
Dubbabubba - Happy Birthday for yesterday. Eeek have you tested, good luck.
Adamsmum - Hi there - hope the TWW isnt sending you crazy.
Morganj - have you test? hope that horrible AF stays away.
No news from me, just fixing things at work for our week off. There is bound to be things that I have forgotten to sort out before I go, but the world wont end, it will all wait for when I get back. Have a lovely weekend. Hope to see a few BFP's!!

Awww Michelle, thank you very much:hugs:
ET went really well, we only ended up with 1 to freeze but.....but that doesn't matter because it is going to work this time:D
Thank you for all your support girls, now my TWW has started:eek:
Kali, how are you darl, have not heard from you for a while, I hope everything is ok....stay strong:hugs:
Wow, three days away from bubhub and so much has happened! You girs sure can talk!
First... LENE LOU. I'm so sorry to hear your news. I hope its all OK for you on Monday. Sending you lots of sticky baby vibes for the weekend. Please let us know how you go. Good thing to stay off here for the weekend and try to keep your mind off things.
Princ3ssah: Welcome back. Glad to hear you've sorted out things wiht your DH. Must have been a stressful time. Great that IVF appointment is soon.
Hi Ziggy: Good that you have a referral to Melb IVF. I would think they should give you some very good reasons for wanting to do another lap, you have every right to ask as its not a small procedure.
Adamsmum: Glad you're not stressing too much. Hope that the next few days go quickly. Try not to cave and do endless HPTs.... only leads to more stress i reckon. But easier said than done! Hope that spotting was implantation. I guess the timing would be right for it....
Julie: how're you doing? Any sign of AF? PG symptoms?? You're being very strong ..... Thanks for the hugs too. Much appreciated
Helenmac: Hi and welcome! Sorry you're feeling so down. Sending you lots of hugs and support. I know i felt really good having made the decision to go the IVF path after so long trying. Finally having some certain course of action was really empowering...
(i've adjusted you for this month ..so sorry AF showed)
Great that you've booked your IVF appointment. 7th May isn't too far away. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I PMd you with my FS name
Meltux: hope the parent teacher night went well. Hows your DH coming along? HOpe he's feelng a bit better.
Dubbadubba: Any news? Hoping AF stays away for you. xx
Atlast: Great that you've booked the counsellor sesion for IVF. A really positive step forward. When is your appointment? Wow... thats amazing he's doing Kokoda! My FS didn't say anything about my DH abstaining from drinking while we are on IVF. As long as he doesnt drink too much it should be OK. The break might be just what he needs.
Lilith: how're you doing? you must be about 8DPO today. Maaan the TWW goes slowly doesn't it!
Bobby: Great you're having a week off. Yay for holidays! And you are right.... things will wait till you're back. Enjoy and relax!
and last of all
Helen!!!! : I was away, but thinking of you and crossing toes and fingers that you're embies would stay strong for today. Did they end up putting the two back? And you have one frozen.... so great news! Oh i'm so happy for you . :yelclap: I hope this TWW goes really fast .... sending you lots of happpy sticky baby vibes. :wizard:
Well girls, I'm OK, if a little frustrated and disappointed. My nose if officially STUFFED! I had another blood test yesterday. After 21, yes 21 bloody days of sniffing this stupid Synarel it has done nothing. AAAAHHHHH!!! They said "just keep sniffing" and come back on Monday for another blood test. I don't know whats going to happen... surely if it doesn't work they'll have to try me on something else. I'm just praying it doesnt mean i have to can this cycle. Sigh... :banghead:

Hey ladies
helenwantsabub - hope the tww goes super quick for u:fingerscrossed:
Kali - what a damn pain in the behind, hopefully monday brings some good news for and and its working.
lene lou - sending lots of baby dust ur way :wizard: :hugs: for monday
Bobby - have a wonderful week off
well AF was due on 18th, my birthday was the 19th so i didnt wanna test and see a :bfn: so i hadnt tested at all this month... But i kinda had a feeling that it wasnt the month for me. But i had been feeling really positive and with the FS putting me on clomid made it alot easy.
This morning AF showed 3 days late and actually i was excited for some strange reason ( first time ever ive been excited to see her ugly face) so i get to start clomid tomorrow. Luke and i are going away next weekend for our wedding annivarsary (sp) first year so thats exciting cant wait a stresss free weekend where i dont have to put pressure on either of us to bd.
So ill be testing in may which will be the month for all of us.
Goodluck for who ever is testing on the weekend... baby dust to all.

thanks everyone for your words of hope...still no AF which is great...but with me noramally she just turns up, no spotting just bang here I am !!! of course I'm probably already thinking it has not worked...cos statically that's the reality !! you know it's the whole self preservation thing.
anyway....
Helen - great news on the ET...sounds all very promising and you've done the best you can, so I have everything xd for you.
Lene Lou - how frustrating but sounds as though your FS is just being cautious which is ok...just makes it all the more confusing for you...hang in there darl.
Kali - you too hang in there....surely the spray will eventually work or FS will come up with an alternative...they just have to.
Helenmac + Atlast - looking fwd to hearing how IVF apps go and planning 1st cycles.
hope everyones' w/e is ok...I've swimming with my son, bit of grocery shopping after....bummed around at home this arvo...family roast chicken dinner, Adam off to bed and settle down to night of TV. a great day full of the simple things of life.
ciao LG
Hi there everyone,
Lots happening..
kali - thinking of you! Lets hope this cycle is not a right off - surely not.
That's interesting - I should ask about the drinking thing....

Helen - Hope you put you feet up - great news on you ET. Sending you heaps of sticky vibes.
Kali - stay strong, I know how worried you are that the cycle will be stopped. Will send up a prayer for you. It is such a rollercoaster ride of emotions and doesnt seem fair when things dont go smoothly. :hugs:
LeneLou - hope the HCG level has gone up tommorrow.
Have a great week ladies - I have got a fishing rod - just dont know what to do with it LOL.
Hi Girls
thanks for all the kind wishes. :hugs: You all keep me sane. One more sleep till blood test in the morning. Hoping that my stupid hormone levels have moved by then :fingerscrossed:
Helen: hope you're well and keeping busy in the TWW!!
Bobby: wohoo for fishing rod! Have a fantastic and relaxing week.
 Jodie. Thanks for popping in. Wow, 9 kids. You are amazing!! I really love your kids names. V. Beautiful.
HI Atlast: Hope you're well
Dubba: Yes, yes, happy birthday for the other day! happybirthday Sorry AF showed, but great that you are starting clomid today. Hope you have a lovely time away with your DH. I might start up the May calendar now as there a few ladies (including me hopefully! that will be testing in may)
Adamsmum: that's great that AF is still away. Hope she stays that way. mmmmm..... roast chicken dinner... yummo! HOpe you enjoyed it

Hi all,
well after all the hype...I'm out. AF arrived today and just to confirm test was :bfn: ...
I've had my cry....and :banghead: and already feel ok...unfortunately the stats just dont add for me.
So onto the next month. at least my cycles are regular and around 26 days, so I dont have to wait too long to try again and again and again if needed.
Trying to work out where we go from here...will probably do IVF. I got 14 eggs from EPU during last GIFT, 3 got put back in, so 11 go to waste...what a waste... not prepared to sacrifice these any more.
Hope everyone else is ok and I look fwd to seeing some :bfp: ...it's been a bit of a lean month.
ciao LG
Morning girls
Well, AF is not here yet but she's on her way :gloomy: . Started spotting yesterday at only 9DPO and major cramps. I'm dissappointed as I thought Clomid helped to extend your LP??
Adam's mum - :hugs: so sorry she had the cheek to visit you to
Kali - best of luck today, hope it's all good news or answers to questions
Have a good day all
Oh Adamsmum: I'm so sorry AF showed and you got a firm BFN. Nothing we can say will make it better, but just know we are all thinking of you and understand how sad you must be feeling. Sending you lots of :hugs: :hugs: I think IVF sounds like the right move for you, especially since you seem to produce lots of good eggies. Have a good cry... let yourself feel sad and frustrated, then try to look forward to next steps. When do you see your FS again? soon I hope?
Lilith: Oh love... I hope AF isn't on way. Praying that maybe, just maybe it is implantation spotting. Is there a lot of spotting?
Hi everyone.....
kali - damn nose spray!!! hope you can move on ASAP and go ahead full steam no more stuffing things in noses etc (tee hee sorry!!!!) Good luck with the next step
Adamsmum - sorry about AF...we all hate her too
Lilith - hoping the witch stays away for you and yes....Clomid is supposed to extend the LP BUT....maybe you're just getting some Side effects which cramping can be one of them. I even had extreme smell and taste sensitivity and that got hopes up way too high when i got BFN's....hey, this could be good signs for you babe!!!:fingerscrossed: The parent/teacher night was good. i was out of here at 7.30 which was ok. I was dog-dead tired though and even slept heaps on the weekend...still getting over the flu and being sick on the holidays I think.
Atlast - Yer...10 weeks but a few public holidays in there which make the weeks go really quick...how are you going???? You wouldn't believe how many teachers at my school are TTC and it's just not happening! (grrrrrr) maybe it has something to do with the stress levels of the job??? This would be interesing to look up and find out some stats...i will let you know what I find!
Dubba - yes Af is a devil. Good luck with the clomid and your weekend of stress-free relaxing sounds good!!! happy Anniversary. ours is tuesday (3 years - wow!!!)
Bobby - Happy Birthday and go fishing!!! It is said to be the most relaxing (?) of sports???? Give it a go and use the new rod in style!
helen - sooooo exciting!!! This is where i may be in a few months time. we are going to try IUI for a couple of times and then IVF here we come!!! Probably not until August but t is such an intersting (is this the right word???) journey! thanks for sharing it and i look forward to hearing about your BFP very soon!!!! yay!!!
Hi to everyone else I've missed and look forward to reading your posts and finding out where we are all at!!!
Well I am still in 2WW and had a really hard time hormonally last weeks (as you may have read!!!) BUT this week i feel positive and have even woken up super early and gone for a huge walk with my dogs!!! I had a tiring weekend which I gather is leftover from being sick and Dh is still in hesps of pain. he is now seeing a back specialist 4 times a week and he says he can fix it:fingerscrossed: Our 3rd anniversary is tuesday and we plan to be at the farm in front of a fire and enjoying a quiet time away from it all!!! yay!!!
i have had few twinges, sore (.)(.) and generally tired BUT this as we know is usual of PMS sooooo AF is due on the 29th so we'll see. I won't test until she DOESN'T come!!!

Hello Ladies,
I have tried to go back over the weekend messages and read all your wonderful messages of hope and strength and I thank you all for your words.
My FS rang just a moment ago with my results from this mornings blood test. It is very sad to say, however I did loose my little bean/s on Thursday. The FS can't give me any explanation why it happened I guess it is nature and that there could have been unknown problems.
I read on one of the other threads last week this quote "The right Child for the right couple at the right time "I am going to remember this and keep strong for our next IVF cycle in either May or June. I am booked in for a D&C on Wed (ANZAC Day), I have never had one of these before but the FS has explained it and I feel ok about it. It’s supposed to stop the bleeding and pain in my lower regions due to the M/C.
I have decided to take the whole week off work and concentrate on my physical, mental and spiritual recovery. My DH has been so very wonderful during this week I could not wish for better.
Thank you again for all your support during my week of madness it has helped me so much to be able to speak to you all.
I am off now to make myself some custard to go with some stewed apples....Yummy
But before I go. I wish all the TTC's and the BFP's all the best wishes and happiness and lots and lots of baby dust and stickyness....
To all the BFN's my hearts are with you.
Take Care
