has anyone used the bummis whisper wrap at night time before...or are they only really good enough for day time wear ?? e.i, changed and whiped out regularly.
when i go to hospital i want to take some covers with me, but not nappies, they provide the terry flats and do all that washing, but i want to take my own covers. Im not going to be staying in too long (hopefully) so i was thinking of getting a 4x bummis pack to take in with me
what are your thoughts??

i have used them a few times when i have run out of the other ones.
they are not to bad over the top of his BBB for night.
havent had a leak yet.
i do prefer the Fleece and wool covers though. they tend to not smell as much as the others in the morning.

hmm being new born, i expect to change the nappy a few times during the night (when the baby wakes for feeds) do u still think if i wiped it out it will smell, or is that just when you leave it over the same nappy all night??
if u have a few to rotate it wont matter. Just use one, at the next change air that one and use another
We had Jet in terry flats (hospy-provided) in hospital and we didn't even bother with a cover till we brought him home. When they're so little they don't do huge wees (well he didn't anyway!) so it's not like they saturate the bedding/ clothes, and it's easy to see straight away when they need a change ;)
Once we brought him home we always used Bummis covers at night, for the first couple of months (until I saw the light and switched to wool LOL). We had no problems with night use at all, newborns aren't very heavy wetters so often all you need to do is wipe and air the cover between uses, we had a few covers and rotated them.
With regards to smell - we didn't get whiffy covers at all until we stopped changing Jet overnight - of course the cover gets a bit pongy by morning if you do that! (regardless if it's PUL or something else).

Yep  I used them until I was lucky enough to get my hands on some wool knitted covers! Never had a leak here with my boys  and believe me their nappies are always drenched it is any wonder they haven't leaked!
