I'm looking at making the plunge and putting DD in cloth at night.

Last night I used a BBB with the two inserts plus a bamboo foldup between the nappy and a bummis cover. Her butt was huge. I'm not a fan of huge.

About 2 weeks ago I accidently left her in a rumpster with a booster overnight and although she was drenched nothing escaped. Her little bottom was almost dripping though and she got nappy rash from having wee on her so long.

So I was wondering if there is an AIO that does a better job. I've heard of the VBSNs and the other supposed night nappies but they are all fitteds. I really would like to avoid a cover if I could.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I may be wrong but I think any AIO that has PUL or waterproof material in it is pretty much going to have that same 'drenched' result, as there's no way for moisture to escape or evaporate away. It's a personal choice but I'd rather my DS had a huge butt overnight than get a nappy rash! which is why I currently put him in a boosted BBB with a wool cover.

Anyway, I'd suggest -

1) try a BBB without the extra foldup and a wool (or fleece) cover (rather than PUL) to allow 'breathing' and some of the moisture to evaporate, to stop your DD from being so drenched in the morning.

2) try a fleece AIO such as a HoneyBoy, maybe with one of the bamboo boosters from a BBB inside for a bit more absorbency without too much bulk

3) try a fleece pocket such as a Green Kids dreamytimes or similar, with a bamboo insert.

Fleece does get some compression leaking though so you'd have to watch out for that.

I currently use either a BBH bamboo with both fold ups and a soaker or a honeyboy with an added BBH foldup and a soaker or a twins in cloth fitted with an added foldup or two and...a soaker:thumbsup:

I use GKs or BBH bamboos with PUL covers during the day.

So what everyone is telling me is that PUL is bad for overnight? Is that because it needs to breath more?

So seriously I need to buy some fitteds and get some wool or fleece ( I hate fleece so it will be wool) covers.

The bubblebutt look is the only way???!!!

Thanks

I quite loike a bubble butt!:D I really only have my personal preference to offer. Also my DD is nearly 18 months old - so it may be a whole different kettle of fish!

I have successfully used Cherubs Kiss Honey Boy AIO with bamboo fold up from BBH and normal booster, as well as Keester Kover with bamboo fold up. PERFECT! :)

Use the KK (AIO) and Baby BeeHinds bamboo (wool wrap) mostly though.

Ronan goes to bed with a bottle and wets so much at night as a result (heavy wetter anyway) so even though he is not far off 3 years old, I go in and change his nappy at around 10pm. The first nappy for the night is often a HoneyBoy, the second is often a Bubblebubs AIO. The HoneyBoy is probably better because it's fleece. But the Bubblebubs has a hidden layer of PUL so while it's not as breathable, it feels more reliable for some reason.

Both are boosted with massess of BamBoosters, bamboo fold-ups, the lot :)
