View Full Version : What are you taking?
As the thread asks, what are you taking for this pregnancy? Vitamins, supplements or nothing?
I was just taking an iron & folate tablet till I realised that the silly woman who sold them to me lied  She told me they had 500mg folate.....the only have 300mg  So I called the pharmacy & have been taking 2 a day.
Tomorrow though, I am thinking I will get some Elevit. I've heard good things.
So what are you doing?

I'm taking Cenovis Pregnancy and breastfeeding vitamins - they seem pretty good and I thought I'd try them as they were cheaper than the Blackmores ones (all the ingredients are pretty much the same).

I was taking Elevit but noticed they don't have iodine in them and as I probably don't get much in my diet, I switched to Blackmore's Pregnancy Gold.

I'm taking Blackmores as well. I noticed at the chemist that they are selling 180 capsule bottle for $49.95, which is pretty cheap compared with buying 3 lots of the 60 capsules. I like the fact that the Blackmores have iodine in them too, although they are massive pills to swallow!!
I'm also taking folate and calcium tablets as I am lactose intolerant.

I am currently taking Elevit! The Blackmores ones sound huge, I am struggling swallowing the Elevit, without it coming back up!

I'm taking elevit too and having the same problems getting them down!! I've never been good at swallowing tablets! Especially now having queasy ms!
Question for you all. The Blackmores says take 2 tablets daily, does that mean one twice a day or 2 at once?

I am taking Blackmores Folic Acid and a calcium supplement. I have a serious medical condition which means I can't take any vitamins with Iodine or Iron. No pregnancy multi's for me!
