What temp should the water be to wash soakers???

Tepid water. You aren't washing them in the washing machine are you ? If so, make sure it's a very gentle cycle.

I am going to use the wool wash cycle on my machine.

i always wash my soakers by hand.
i don't want to take the risk of them going in the machine even though i have a front loader.

to many wool things have been 'killed' in the machine before even on gentle or wool!

but only wash them in slightly warm water :)

I always put mine in my machine on a wool wash. The temp is preset for each cycle, for wool it's 30 degrees.

Unless they were specifically sold as machine washable, I'd be wary even with a gentle cycle in the machine, it may felt them.
