I have a question too (sorry to barge in on your thread zada)

When I was at the nappy sewing workshop the other day one of the ladies there said that snap presses were available for $60.

I thought they were $100  I should have asked her where they were $60. Anyone know?

At a guess, maybe 25 nappies from the original pack - or maybe more! :) I think the top up pack has the same number of snaps as the one you get first, so it would be about the same.

It really depends how "snap happy" you get on your nappies!

Where can I buy a snap press from?

Me, probably, when I'm over my snap-o-mania   I swear I'm turning into the mum from "The Castle"!

If you google snap press in Aus I'm sure you'll come up with something :)

is it really worth buying one TL?

I guess it depends what you mean by "worth it".

I thought it would be quicker to put snaps on a nappy than velcro, but it's not (maybe I'll get faster!). It's also frighteningly easy to really stuff up a nappy - putting the wrong sort of snap on, or getting it slightly in the wrong place, which isn't so much of a risk with velcro.

It's much much better for making covers though - I really can't get velcro to work properly on my covers, but snaps are great :)

I'm assuming I'll be able to sell it for about $60 so I guess I just bought it because making nappies is my hobby and $40 for something you enjoy didn't seem aaaaalll that steep. And I really need some more covers, and it's much cheaper to make my own than to buy them. Also I'm such a perfectionist I'm never happy until I can get things exactly how I like them :o :p
