View Full Version : GK Hourglass vs Happy Heiny stuffin?

I am trying to streamline all my inserts to one brand, and I'm tossing up between the two above.

Only problem is that I'm too tight to spend $4 postage to try a HH stuffin! The GK are reliable, but quite bulky.

Has anyone tried the stuffin? Are they slimmer than the GK hourglass? How do they go?

Thanks! :D

I have a few HH's inserts and actually prefer them to the GK's for trimness/ fit, at least for now (Jet's only 5 months). As he gets bigger then the bigger inserts will probably be better, but right now the GK's inserts are still a bit bulky for us.

I like them both, but if I had to choose, I'd pick the Stuffin for sure  . I like they way it has it's own little pocket that you can put the extra booster in, if needed.

I'm also loving the little HH Hemp Ovals (and any other small hemp booster I can lay my hands on) - I use them in all my AIOs and pockets as trim but thirsty extra boosting for my heavy wetter!

I just looked at the Happy Heiny website, and they're now coming in aplix AND snaps - on the one nappy! It says 'for ease of use with aplix, with added strength of snaps'

If your after a slim fit the stuffin is the better out of the two. And the pocket is great, so you can pop another booster in and it is still trim:thumbsup:

IMO, I think you should try one:D

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the HH stuffins! Ok that was a little too enthusiastic  But I've had some for months now, and I like them much more then the GK inserts

This is mainly because I hate the way I have to stretch and flatten the GK inserts before stuffing them in my pockets. The HH says flat and in shape. Drys a little slower though... but those extra ovals are SO handy for boosting everything we have!! The HB, in a pocket with a microfiber insert, under the snap-in insert in a Bubblebutts, sandwhiched in a GK insert to make it last longer while out... the list goes on! :D

Wow? How?? Sure they don't mean you can choose between snaps and applix? Sounds cool anyway!

Yep, they are a great pocket

But we are totally finished with applix, for when around the house anyway. Show-off nappies are different

No they can have both now so your little hook and loop rippers will have more trouble removing them :) They are only new and have to be requested by the store ordering them, they won't automatically be on all new HHs.

Thanks so much for your advice! :) Well, I let the moths out of my wallet and bought a stuffin after reading your posts this morning! :D

I bought a medium - does that sound right?

My husband will be relieved with the stuffin as I won't be unpicking the stitching and ripping my GK inserts in two to experiment!!
