I was just looking at some patterns for some longies and found a really cute one,i am thinking of getting my nanna to knit them for me.
I just wanted to see what the knitters thought about the pattern is would it be easy?
My nanna has ALOT of experience in knitting and is very good.
Here is the pattern (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer05/PATTcargo.html)
Love those! I haven't had the chance to knit them but will one day for Av. It has been on my favourites for a while now.
The pattern is for cotton (blend) but you can use wool - just tension may differ.

Make sure she can knit on the round
Oh is it easy? Not sure since I haven't knitted it. It is knitted in the round legs up. Does your Nanna knit in the round? If so it shouldn't be too hard.

Geez it's hardly worth buying nice wool and spending time knitting them yourself for that price!

I am pretty sure it was $50 - but yeah damn cheap.;) I think you can get a picture on the bum too.
I would still knit them cos I love to knit ;)
But yeah that sounds cheap to me. Will have to have a look - is it in organic wool?

How much does everyone pay for wool and where do you get it from?
You can get cheaper wools for about $4 for 50 grams or handpainted yarns for around $20 for 100grams.
I like undyed yarns atm so I can dye them unique as they come! :D (you can also use kool aid)
