Hi - i've just found out i'm having twins and i fly to Tassie a few time a year with my DD and usually leave Dh at home (lucky him - no kids!)

I am wondering if anyone know if i can fly with 2 babies under 2 years old and how do you do it.

DD will be 3 so she has her own seat. Taking Dh isn't really an option as we won't all fit in mym mum's car and we can't afford to hire one.

Any ideas or experiences?

i think that you are not allowed to travel with 2 'lap' babies alone - if they are under 2 technically you wouldnt need to buy them a seat so they are in your lap but you are only allowed to have one on your knee for safety reasons so you might have to get someone to fly with you....i have a friend who comes down from up north and she always has to bring her husband with her under 2yrs old twins

hi beck it is possible

like annb said you can't put them both on your knee, you'll have to buy one of them a seat,

this is what you can do, you can have one in a carseat (will have to check what airlines will allow this) one baby on your lap and carried in a frount pack or something similar when walking around and you'll have your DD in her own seat

the staff on the plane will help you with getting the kids on board and seating them, and the same with getting off, you can get the staff to collect your bags off the conver belt at the other end,

the staff on airlines are usually very very helpfull when you've got babies, i've had to use their assistance when flying last year when preg cause I wasn't allowed to lift a thing

when we flew with our two, it was one on each lap. we had them in baby bjorns getting on & off but they had to be in a belt attatched to our belt all of the other time.

I think you will need to check with the airline, as everytime we have travelled, there is not alloud to be 1 parent with 2 under 2 even if a second seat is purchased.

Just double check, they may allow it in some cases? :)

Hi ya

I flew to brisbane 1.5years ago when twins were 5mths old on little plane then a jet from sydney. We had to have one adult for each child. They had to be strapped in attached to our seatbelt at all times.
We traveled on two different airlines. We weren't allowed luggage for babies but could take pram, cot, etc for free.
