hello all you lovely august mums...
hayley (hayles07) & i have decided its about time all us in Brisbane/Gold Coast meet up for a chat. I think we should have it somewhere close to the city so that you can come from the northern suburbs as well if you live up there somewhere.
If your DHs/DPs are interested as well that would be great, we could make it a dinner or something.
Let me know if you want to come :)

Thanks for making this thread - I think its a great idea! :D
I know there is more than just you and I in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area - But it'd be interesting to see exactly how many....
I think dinner or something along those lines sounds great and partners is perhaps a good idea as well..... :)
Let's see what all you other girls think.....

Hey All,
I'm also an August mummy and am interested in tagging along. Could you please PM me the details?
I can't commit to anything though at the moment (sorry to be a pain) - it is too far away and I'm not sure if I will be interstate or have family up because it is very close to DS's 1st birthday!
Thanks:thumbsup:

i'm still up for dinner...not sure of any good spots in the city the only one i know is a super expensive one called pier 9, but it's pretty much seafood, so i suggest we steer clear of that one...plus we r on a ' we're having a baby this year, cant spend a fortune, budget' i will ask DH again if he knows somewhere nice, but not OTT.

Its up to you Deb... I'm more for having it in mid May, but by then we'll just be getting bigger and bigger  Not that it matters... Hopefully I'll be able to still fit through the doors!
I have a pretty big Saturday.. Mum is working so has asked Mark and I if we will take my little brother to football - Hes only 8 and its ever so cute to watch! Hes the champion of the team  I guess thats what happens when your older brother is a football coach....
Saturday afternoon, I'm meeting a friend for coffee. I haven't seen her in years and then Sat night, we are meant to be going out for dinner....

Hi
I live on the pretty far northside of Brissy, and just found this thread. Can't believe I didn't realise it was here! anyway, if you girls do look at doing something mid-May sometime on a weekend, I'd be interested. I could go into the city or even the south side, no worries. Don't know if I'd go all the way to the gold coast (I'm sortof 1/2way btwn brissy & sunshine).
Really busy this weekend too, but do keep me in mind if you get together later, I'd love to meet a bunch of you ladies!

hi ladies
yeah this saturday is out for us too, mid may is sounding good (although that isn't too far away now, we better get ourselves organised!)
i was going to suggest the continental cafe in new farm, good for dinner, lunch/brunch or brekkie and they have a reasonably priced menu with a good range. we have been going there for years... it's right in town, so good for people coming from north or south, and i know if you book in advance they can usually fit big groups in - sounds like we might have a few coming along, espec with partners etc. i had my hen's night dinner there and they gave us a private room and limited menu with a set price which was really good, i think there were around 20 of us there... the breakfasts are particularly good - great range.
anyway DH and i are still up to do something :)
how about saturday 19th or sunday 20th for dinner or brunch?
deb1234

It seems there aren't many people who can go tomorrow night so i say we postpone until mid May. Only problem is my DH is away so the earliest we could come would be Sat 26th May. How does this suit everyone? :) I'll be 30.5 weeks! So look out for a big fatty!!
Add your name to the list below if you want to come so we can be organised! :D

Whoops posted at the same time as you alena. i can't do 19/20th sorry...hopefully people can do the 26th/27th? I'm up for brunch :)

Im going to be a pain in the butt and say that both the 26th and 27th are out for me - But you girls can still organise something..
My brother comes down on Wednesday for a week, and then my sister and nephew come down on Thursday - My sister and my mum are going to the Pink concert... So its going to be busy, busy, busy for me next weekend... I don't get to see my family all that often, so I'd better not make other arrangements...
Sorry girls....
