Want to make my own mcn!!!curious

I have been in deep thought over night:idea: ... I want to make some mcn's myself for DD and to sell.(this could be a tragic idea) But gives me something to entertain myself and use my brain other than children chatter.
What do i have to do in order to sell them..Like is there copyright cos how do i know if someone has made the same ones or not. And do i need a ABN if i can actually make ones good enough to sell?
Whats a good selling price...

I don't think you need an ABN unless you're earning a certain amount of $ per year - like $40K or something :confused:

I would think that it depends on where you sell it, if you were to just sell them on ebay or online auctions for example, I cant imagine you needing an abn

I am no expert but I think the time it takes and the materials, assuming you would use the best quality materials, wouldn't leave you with much profit.

You're very right there! Unless you were set up with some pretty serious equipment to speed up the process you wouldn't make much - or at least I wouldn't!

Well, yeah, you could just sell on ebay, but generally, you do need an abn. Am going though this process myself (just got business name registered and abn etc- not for MCN though, although it is related).

You really need to sign on to Nappycino and get to 50 posts- then you'll have access to a section about 'setting up shop' . The info I have found there is just so in-depth and covers everything. Copyright, marketing, advertising, testing nappies and finding appropriate testers, all the tax (inc GST) and legal stuff. :thumbsup:
