I am turning 30 in ONE MONTH!!! I am in sooo much denial it is not funny. Does anyone else feel the same way? I look back on my 30 years to see what I have accomplished and it is quite alot but I still feel like a 20 year old except with all this responsability now!
Please tell me I am not the only one who feels this way:gloomy:

I felt the same way when I turned 25 in January. I'm a single mum and I had to quit my job in Japan to come back to Australia and have the baby, and now I'm stuck at home with my parents ... which is REALLY good of them, but I'm sitting here thinking, "Man, I'm 25, I have a baby, no job, no partner ... by the time bub is ready to be sent to school I'll be 30 ... " and I know when that particular milestone rolls around I'm going to be ****ed if I'm still in the same situation!

I know it's just a number, but it's also a measure of how much you've done with your life, in a way. I kinda felt like my opportunities suddenly hit a brick wall when I got pregnant (particularly when bub's father disappeared into the abyss without a word ... easy for him to keep making something of his life when he's dumping me to cope on my own!).

I love my son to pieces and I always feel really blessed to have such a beautiful baby boy, but I still definitely have days where I'm banging my head against the wall and feeling really caged. Other days (most days) I'm just determined to not let being a single mum get in my way. I took my son to the Unifem breakfast a couple of weeks ago, and they told me in the 16 years of holding the breakfast, I'm the first woman to ever bring my baby along! Haha, I'd like to think I'm paving the way for other women to not feel like having a baby needs to hinder them in any way!

I'll be 30 in August and I'm actually looking forward to it and I have been for a few years now. I have no idea why, but I know that getting older doesn't bother me, nor does getting grey hair (got my first at 21) and wrinkles. The way I see it is that it happens to everyone.
When I'm 30, my older kids will be 9 and 10 and wont be relying on me as much. When I'm 40, they will be 19 and 20 and they can babysit the 2 littlies while DH and I have the honeymoon we never got the chance to have when we were married.

I didn't have time to dwell on my 30th. In fact, I don't even remember it as I had Kaiden two weeks before.

I think it was another day full of poos, wees, spew, no sleep and lots of tears.....

If I have any friends left by the time I am 40, I'll have a party then :D
