i had an idea but i'm not sure how bright it is because i have no idea about all of this cloth nappy stuff (as you can guess by my aio purchase etc)... now i have some terry flats here (i been reading up on my jargon!!) and i have some flanallette (sp?) material and i have a plastic cover pilchery type thing... what i want to know is this: if i brave my sewing machine, prefold two terry flats and sew them together with a flanellette booster thing in the middle and then sew the prefolded flats together, will that work and also what if i was brave enough to sew the cover onto the nappy or should i just leave it separate, and also another thing what if i wanted to make a funky material cover for the plastic pilcher, do you think i could sew it on?? should i stop being so "tight" and just buy a kit and try sewing that? I am really interested in the answer though...

Why don't you head over to nappycino.com and ask around in the sewing room there???

I don't sew, so I can't answer your question :) You could always have a go I suppose!

why dont u get a pattern and sew your terry flats into fitteds maybe boost with some flannel or use the flannel as the outer layer KWIM? Then just use your cover over the top:thumbsup:

Thanks Zada, thats what i thought in the end too... i didn't get a pattern but i did model what i'm doing off one of bubs sposies and i must say its turning out ok, i made sure i cut it bigger so that after i finished sewing it should fit... so i'ma see how i go... i have sewn in a flannel booster, though i think it might need another booster yet not sure but i'm having fun experimenting anyways hehe
