I was wanting to make some meatballs for my DS as the ones they sell in Woolies and Coles are so full of fat but I just can't seem to find a recipe for them.

Does anyone have one they would like to share?

mince, bread crumbs, egg, beef stock powder, grated up veges, tomato paste, sometimes rice...

mix it all together, turn it into balls and cook. :)

Depends on how much time I have as to what I put in them, but usually it is just onion, garlic, breadcrumbs and egg and I cook them in a sauce of tomato paste, diced tomatoes, garlic and onion and the kids love them (as do I).

These all sound great

Jen13 - can you PM me your family secret recipe please???? I promise I won;t tell anyone!

Also -for kids it's sometimes fun to add a cube of cheese in the middle of the meatball.

I like to add a few teaspoons of vinegar to my meatball/ rissole, burger patty mix. It helps the meat to cook through and softens it too.
