What did you do with your marriage certificate?

We just have ours in it's envelope in my knickers drawer. Not very romantic I know! Did anyone frame it or do anything special with it? I was thinking about putting it in our photo album but I don't know if it will fade over time, any suggestions?

We framed the "fancy" copy and have the other copy filed away.

I just bought a plain frame and stuck in there myself. Its on the wall in the lounge room.

I keep having to photocopy ours for various government forms (immigration, DD's passport, etc) so mine is staying in an envelope where it's nice and accessible :)

Ours was given to us FOLDED in an envelope!! Duh. After years I got it framed and never got around to hanging it up..then somehow it fell off the bookcase and the glass broke!! Opps. Think it's with all our docs now.

I'd thought ours was in our album (just slipped in) till we moved up north and I didn't come across it when unpacking. It now appears that it is lost - hopefully not forever.

I got a copy of the official one from BD&M for all legal stuff, but I miss the fancy one we got everyone to sign (flowergirl, groomsmen and bridesmaids).

Hopefully it turns up one day in an unlikely place.:o

I never got a fancy one as some have described:crying: and mine has faded from being framed for many years(we are a very old married couple) and I think it's filed away somewhere safe now since we moved o/s and I took everything out of frames in case of breakage.

I have pretty birth certificates for the kids that I keep meaning to get framed but they are rolled up in cardboard cylinders with mothballs.

I have framed our certificate that we signed on the day and bordered it with photographs from the wedding. It's on display in our lounge room.

The official copy from BDM I have in a simple A4 frame and it's packed away in a closet for easy access such as changing my name (it's annoying that this is the copy that everyone wants to see... coincidence that this is the copy that costs money??? hmm)

mine is in the safe. we had it in the fancy dancy marriage certificate pewter scroll thingy and since it took me 3 years to change my last name in my passport everytime i travelled overseas i had to bring it with me so I had to take it out of its fancy dancy pewter holder so the officials could look at it and it was pain in the butt so i finally went to the BD&M place and got a proper govt copy and now its back in the fancy dancy pewter scroll thing in the safe

Our commemorative one is in a frame and the other one at the moment is in my handbag as i had to change my name at the bank a few days ago. Usually it in the safe with the kids and mine and dh's birth certificates.
