Hi.

I was wondering if the actual pocket makes a lot of difference when it comes to pocket nappies.

I have seen some nice nappies on cheeky butts but I'm not sure whether they would be absorbant. So I was thinking if I put for example a beetlebum booster in it would it be as good as a good brand nappy?

If so doesn't that mean that you can buy really cheap nappies off Ebay etc and just put good boosters in them and have great nappies.

Can anyone help?

all depends what theyre made of. Are you talking about the cheeky butts AIO pocket? Then yea u can use it as is or if u need more absorbancy u add a booster

they do actually .... from the fuzzi website ...

Mini-Gussets – The elastic is encased inside the diaper so it won't rub against baby's tender skin. The stitching around the elastic creates "mini-gussets" for added protection in keeping messes contained.

Yeah they are really cute.

I just went to checkout with two AIO pocket nappies and it said $5.35. That amount of postage is ok I think.

What exactly is an AIO pocket nappy?

It seems funny that when I look at everyones stashes they don't have any. It kind of makes me suspicious that they aren't good. But then again maybe they just aren't "the thing to buy"

an aio pocket means that its an aio - there should be enough absorbtion already sewn into the nappy.
but it also has a pocket sewn into the top of the nappy, so you can add more absorption if you need to.

The fit of pockets is a big factor... so yes, you can buy cheaper nappies and boost them, but
a) the fit might be poor and
b) the workmanship/materials may be poor so the nappy may not hold up very well with use :)
