I know one that does both dip dyeing and embroidery/embellishing that i have- Baa Bums I can only say good luck! Woollies tend to go quickly. Keep an eye out at WAHMania and oZebaby.

If you see a WAHM whose style/designs you like then no harm in pm'ing them to see if they have any availability to do a custom for you. Unless they specifically state on their site they're not open for customs (Baabum for example).

I know Irene from Jolly Jumbuck dyes wool. Angel Blossoms do as well. Then there's Ali from BumNRound... all very beautiful knitters... not sure on embellishments (Irene did some beautiful ones recently that I think you can still see on Oze). That's just a few!

Try asking on NC - lots of lovely knitters hang out there. :)

For a free online pattern - tinybirds (http://www.birdcrossstitch.com/organicwool/woolpants.html) - can be shortened to made shorties.

I've found that all the knitters in the family are really loving that I'm asking for woollies, since nobody really wants the traditional knitted baby gear any more, I thinkthey'd all given up on being able to knit for my bub. So they're all more than happy to knit for me.

Now if only I can get them to knit in colours and designs to MY taste...not sure how Gran feels about rasta-coloured (black red green yellow) striped longies
