i have a 19mth old and just did a home test im 4 weeks.. ahhh .. im in disbelief till i hear the words from the dr
after such a very difficult 1st pregnacy and horrible birth... not sure how this will go?
:hugs: you will survive, kids are a good distraction.
I found out i was pg when my DS was 20 months and i also had an awful pg and terrible birth.
This pg has been pretty much the same as first, only this time i have shadow saying "sick mummy, sick". I just take one day at a time, sleep when he sleeps and he watches alot of wiggles (my saviour)
Now at 18 weeks i am slowly getting better, still spew but not allday hungover feeling. Maybe its a girl this time:detective:
Birth, hmmm, still concerns me. I have a very supportive OB who assures me things will be better this time. I am trying to rid myself of fear as i believe fear does not help labour.
Guess i am blocking it out till it happens:rolleyes:
Goodluck and seriously hope you have an easier pg and birth this time:fingerscrossed:
Congrats and good luck, here's wishing you a better pregnancy and birth than last time!

Hello....just wanted to offer :hugs:
I had a pretty bad pregnancy and awful labour and emergency caesar myself, so I'm with you!
Fingers crossed it will be better this time...it does help to think of the bigger picture and what happens after it all. I keep thinking of Christmas and how wonderful it will be with my 2 bubs. In the meantime look after yourself. Good luck

Thanks for all the replys.. i guess im just nervouse as i spent about 3 mth all up in hosiptal serverly nausious.... and then at 13 weeks they thought i had meningitis.. so they gave me a lumber puncture.. yes ouch.. but all good just a bug....... so i continued to vomit every day morning lunch and afternoon.. night wasnt too bad... hten at 22 weeks i got kidney stones.. definatly not fun and they cant do much when i bub is squashing all your organs so even on a scan they cant see too much..... 29 weeks kidney stones again.. more painful... pain was unbeliable.. diff to labour as it was stabbing spasms in my back and no matter how much pain reilf i got it just made me feel dumb and took no pain away..... 32 weeks i got diganoised with Cholestasis.. which is when ur liver bile levels go up.. more common then i thought it was.. u get itchy on funny spots of your body from the soles of ur feet 2 ur plams of ur hands.....so the induce u at 37weeks to the day as it can harm baby if u let them cook too long..... so then there was the labour....... besides having my waters broken and straight into immediate full on contracions ... yes thta hurt.. plus i was vomiting the whole time.. they attemopted to give me an epidural which worked for about 10 mins... and the right hip and "the front" ne wouldnt numb!!!.the bit i needed numbed most......... then something started feeling wrong..... i lost the whole sensation of my body including face.. my left eye went droopy.. i couldnt even feel if i was breathing.. ( i got told now i was only minutes from being incubated) but luckingly enought they reveresed most of it and i felt a little better.... turned out to be HORNER'S SYDROME.. YES VERY RARE BUT AFTER EVERYTHING i had to get that toooooooo! so after 12 hours of pain etc i had a beautiful 7p 60z boy.. happy and healthy even after eventhing i had been through.. i was a long 9 months.. me and the dad split when the bubba was 8 weeks.. i think he made the whole pregnancy harder as i didnt get as much support as i needed from him........ but im much happier now then ever i have been with my new parner for around a year.. so yes finding out today gave me flash backs of everything i went through so i am a litle scared but im thinking it cant posibbly go as bad 2 nd time around... and now atleast i have someone to support me... :smiliedance:
Wow, what an incredible story. Seems that anything that rarely occurs during pregnancy you happened to get, you poor thing! I sincerly hope you don't have to go through all that again! And i hope your partner can be supportive and sympathetic too.

 <-- (my face after reading your story). Sending big :hugs: !
What are the chances of all that happening again do you think? My lord, I hope VERY LOW! Think positively. I am a firm believer that what you send out into the universe comes back (especially in terms of your thoughts). :fingerscrossed:

My god you poor thing! :hugs:
Okay mine wasn't quite like that - in fact in comparison - sheer luxury (maybe not quite that good). Then to lose your partner too....that's just awful.
Gotta agree with wanabemum. The odds have to be incredibly low happening again. Be good to debrief with ob and ask if there's any way of preventing any of it, or at least finding out the odds of it happening again and what can be done. And if he/she is no good, get the best ob out there!
This time will have to be better!
Still, I've heard worse stories (believe it or not)...mums who have perfect pregnancies with babies born stillborn.
I know what I would prefer. And your little one is gorgeous!!
