11 weeks is a bit young *faint* but there are 2 little teeth on the bottom comming through
He's been dribbling loads and sucking on his fists. If I put my finger in his mouth, he bites down really hard.
I can't believe it's starting already!!!
Anyone else out there with early teethers?
That’s early but all babies grow at different paces. DD got her teeth early(ish) and being so little she had trouble holding things in her mouth to chew on. The teeth bounced up and looked like they would break through many times, then they would disappear for another week. Ive not been one for a dummy but I did buy her a gummy from BigW and she loved it. Once her front top and bottom grew through she threw it. I found the gummy to be instrumental in giving her something safe to chew on at an early age. Not all babies like them though.
Good luck

Hey mummycloud,
At 3months my son started teething he had one of his eye teeth up but it went down, then back up and down again. He is know 13 and 1/2 months and has his 8 front teeth and 2 molars. As the eye teeth are usually the last ones to come up.
Goodluck anyways.
PJ started having that at 4 months. He's now 9 months and still no teeth have come through and stayed through. :( Poor little guys is crankky again today, I just wish they'd come down for good!

Raleigh had her first two teeth at 4 1/2 months. Her second two at 7 months. She is now trying to push out four more LOL ;) It may be early but obviously the right time according to your bub :)

I don't know if they will stay, but the skin is open in 2 slits where the front 2 bottom teeth should be.
I can't get him to use a dummy, but i will buy a gummy from Big W tomorrow and see how he goes. He wants to chew all the time ...LOL

My DS started teething at 12 weeks and he now is 9 months and has 7 teeth. I found the gummy teether a life saver too!
I also like the water filled ring as you can put it in the fridge with little animals inside each bubble, it is really soft, DS loves it even when he is not teething.
I have heard of babies being BORN with teeth
Some teeth early and some late, all are different and there is no 'set' age when they should start.
My DD started teething at 9 months! And didn't get her first tooth till 14 months!!! And they were molars! And once they came through the rest just 'popped' out one after the other.

Bec drolls so much at 3mths I swear she is going to flood the house!
I've been thinking the same thing because with Hannah she never drolled this early and I think she was about 6mths when teeth came through (how terrible that I can't remember ooppss - I think I wrote it down somewhere)

It's ok, I can't remember when my girls teeth came through either. I think it was around 6 months :o I looked at some pics and couldn't find any drooling pics at 3 months with the others, so looks like our kids are early developers in the tooth area;)

My bubs has been teething since birth & he only FINALLY cut one a month or so ago & is currently going threw trying to cut another two.
They keep coming up & going down no wonder he has his moments hehehehe.
My lil girl is 9mths old & still no sign of any teeth so that just goes to show the different ways baby developed.

Wouldn't it be nice if ALL babies did it that way :)

Hey Genie..dont worry too much!
My mums best friend's son, when he was born, he was born with a tooth! It's rare but it can happen!!! My son started teething when he was 8wks...so its all normal :) They're all different!!!
I think the teeth will stay if there's two white lines (slits)...:)
Love Nat xx

Thanks Dentalforum :D
I'm sure I'll be reading up on lots of stuff with teething for my baby and my 7 year old not brushing properly and my 14 year old had braces... Hmmmm...looks like I should register at that site eh?...LOL
Nat - I've heard that being born with a tooth can happen, but you're the first person I know, you knows someone who's son was born with one...LOL
Aiden's teeth are through the skin now, but not up yet
Looks like he'll be teething for a while.
He loves to chew and bite  makes breastfeeding challenging..LOL

Thank you. I had no idea that it was possible for little ones to go through teething early.
My little boy has been rather grizzly for 3 days and has had a strange cry today. So we went to the chemist and the pharmarist said that he was teething.
At least we know what the problem is and how to deal with it.
