View Full Version : Boostrix Vaccination before conceiving??
Hi everyone,
We are thinking of trying for our second baby and my docter advised me to have the Boostrix vaccination before I conceive. Does anyone know much about it or has anyone had it?
I would really appreciate any feedback as I'm a little worried about having it, thanks!

Hi,
Looks like it is your normal booster shots for Tetanus (lock jaw), diphtheria and Pertussis (whooping cough). Can't be sure that as it seems to be talking about giving it to teens between 10 and 18. Below is the patient information I found on the web for you.
Hope it helps.

Hi there,
Thanks for the info Baby Dreaming. My doctor mentioned that its a booster vacine. I am confused because I can't find any info on the net etc about having it before falling pregnant. My doc did say I should have it before I go off the pill. I trust my doc, its just I've never heard of it and no one I've talked to has! I will ask at the pharmacy to see if I can get anymore info.
Again thanks for replying!!
