Wheres the work for tilers??

ok so my husbands a wall and floor tiler....and im wondering if any other bubhubers partners are in this buisness also....? the reason i ask is im wondering how you guys do income wise? we live in coffs and he barely gets work so we cant live off it but we hate being on centrelink and are wondering where to go so that he will get more work? or do any of you know where the main building is going on at the moment...sydney and melbourne we dont really like at all...but we have thought about moving to qld? does anyone have any advice?

Do you think he can hook up with builders? As in work for certain builders or building companies?

well when we first moved here that is what he did...he had work with a reputable (sp?) builder and they told him there was lots of work for him...so he did about three really large jobs for them and then they told him there was no more work??? we think it may be because he hasnt got a ute because he needs to work so he can save a bit and buy a cheap one so we arent having to pay off two cars.....also the insurances u need to work for builders cost alot of money....its like a catch 22......but i know he would do work for them if they could offer him permanent work and mean it because then we would pay for insurance somehow at least knowing he would earn the money back to cover it...
