Graves Disease Anyone?

Heya,
Just wondering if anyone has Graves Disease causing Hyperthyroidism? :confused:
I have been diagnosed with this in the last month and am looking at ways to combat the results as the illness cannot be cured.
Any help? :(

I can honestly say I don't know whether I have done this one before KevinBudgie! :D
I have heard of the use of Neomercazole etc, but want to try and find other ways to control it rather than taking drugs for the rest of my life. I am currently on Propylthiouricil - yucky things they are!

Ok, now I kinda see that its bad but not that bad - I was told that we could have baby troubles next time round, as we wanted to start TTC by Feb '06.
Geez, interesting to see other people commenting on it's effects. I've been such a B***h to my hubby, poor old sausage. I still have really bad irritability some days and can be very aggressive too.
Did your hubby have these sorts of probs?
