i am feeling really sick and have no idea where to put this thread so mods please move it if you need to.
I have a 9 month old and have been TTC#2 for the last 5 months. i have had 2 M/Cs in this time. Anyway i have just done a pregnancy test and it came back :bfp: !!! yay.
BUT my DS has been sick for the last couple of days with a snotty nose and cold. I have been lucky enough to feel fine but last night i started to get a sore throat and now right at this moment i feel like i am going to die!!! it feels like a head cold. My Dh just went to the chemist for me to get difflam, codral and a pregnancy test. now that the test has come back :bfp: i cannot take any of the medication
SO my question is can someone PLEASE tell me what i can take to relieve the pain in my throat, nose and head. this is really really bad
THANKS
ALysia
panadol is about all you can take
instead eat lots of honey, oranges and lemons, make a drink out of it, works for me

i know it's gross but i used to sip vinegar, it numbed my throat heaps and brought up flem if there was any. I'm not suggesting to pour yourself a glass and skull :barf: but maybe a cap full when it statrs to hurt... and think... salt and vinigar chips. Hope you get well soon and congrats on your :bfp:

Hmmm I go with the others, Panadol, honey/lemon tea, vicks drops?, Garlic and some rest....
:fingerscrossed: Hope you feel better soon
 Congrads on the:bfp:
Honey lemon and hot water and a couple of panadol before bed.
Hope you feel better soon:hugs:
Oh I know i'm probably going to get laughed at but this works for me
when you go to bed tonight, cut a onion in half, and put it beside your bed, if you've got a stuffy nose it seams help get rid of it, it does take a couple of days though

Butter menthol and panadol.
And I used to put VICKS on the bottom of my feet and have a really hot shower.
The vapor would move up in the steam and clear my nose.
Congrats on the :bfp:

Codeine is a category A1 medication in pregnancy - meaning that its been extensively tested and there has never been a reported abnormality caused by it, or any problems.
Therefore you can actually take panadeine or panadeine forte too - its not recommended for long periods of time, but then, neither is panadol!
Good luck, hope you're feeling better soon.

i would drink plenty of water and try a hot honey and lemon drink maybe followed by a panadol. you can also have strepsils during pg just not the extra strenght one. hope you get better soon ..
